Refused Return and Refund - POOR EXCUSE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
I have been a loyal customer of your shop for many years and have often recommended you to friends and fellow crafters.
I recently purchased one of your more expensive kits, however I am very disappointed with the pattern. I have tried several times to work with it, but I am still not happy with the outcome. Rather than continue with something I am not satisfied with, I requested a partial return and refund.
I was disappointed that this was refused on the basis that the item was sold as a kit. As the kit is assembled by yourselves, it could reasonably be separated. The unused yarn could be returned to stock, either as individual items or to replenish future kits, as these are standard products you already sell.
Given this, I feel the refusal to accept a return is unreasonable, especially considering my long-standing support of your business.
Unfortunately, this experience has left me very dissatisfied. I will not be purchasing from you again and will be hesitant to recommend your shop in the future.

I really enjoyed my visit today got my wool for stylecraft loopy cardigan the lady from stylecraft helped me and my sister and me and Sarah had a quick chat and she helped me pick my colour choice off wool loved it and I got buttons to match the colour watch this space. Thanks Sarah Geraghty and Rachel and the lady from stylecraft (sorry didn’t get your name) oh and Sarah’s daughter. Thanks to the lady’s in the cafe also really appreciate your service and I always clean up the table after we use it. It was nice to meet the lady from Newcastle under Lyme who’s shared the table with us, hope you got home okay. All in all a good day had.

I was let down by a large well known company who sold me a kit with yarn then decided to only send half the yarn. I found the yarn I needed on this companies web site and at half the price. Brilliant fast shipping (it arrived two days later) and excellent service. Thank you very much.
Stay away!
I've placed an order with them and after about 1 week I received a notification that my order is delayed and to contact them if I wanted to discuss further. As I wasn't happy with the delay I contacted them and proposed alternative solutions so that I can receive my order the soonest. NO RESPONSE AT ALL!
After a few days I contacted again via the contact form on their website and requested a full refund and cancellation of my order. Again NO RESPONSE AT ALL!
Today I've been trying to call them. THEIR PHONE NUMBER INTENTIONALLY DOESN'T WORK. THE LINE DROPS.
Now trying to get a refund via Paypal.
This retailer sells products that aren't available so beware what you put yourself into when ordering from them. They will take your money and ignore you for good! Stay away!
The best yarn shop
Such a great local yarn shop. Fabulous range of products, great customer service and super speedy delivery as always.
To be avoided
Ordered one item in 2022 and was told it's out of stock. Several emails sent and ultimately ignored. Tried to pursue later on and I was told they could send it in July of 2023. Money taken, item never sent.
Shockingly bad!
So disappointed in the service and attitude. A week after placing an order I am told of a 10 day delay! Then after that time has passed I am told another 4 weeks or they can send me one ball of two!! How would that be helpful? I can now no longer knit the Christmas present I planned to and can’t get a refund for the wool I no longer need as I don’t have the requisite for the pattern. Flabbergasted by the attitude and lack of care! Will never use again!!!

Good company however
I like this company for choice etc and have always received a good service.
My recent order was for a new shade of wool in two different colours. I wanted the two different patterns, but only one in stock - I clicked on the ‘mail me when back in stock’; this they duly did. However I have got the pattern I wanted from elsewhere … the reason was because the pattern sent with the wool was squashed inside the parcel tightly packaged with the wool - it is so creased up and I know after a while will be ineligible, shame as I keep all my patterns in folders. Secondly I am not prepared to pay more postage at a rate far higher than the cost of the pattern.

Needed some yarn to finish a project. Already follow Blacksheep Wools on Instagram so thought I would give them go. Placed an order on a Sunday, order confirmation email said the order could be delayed due to covid, order was delivered on Wednesday.

Really disappointed with the service I received, I ordered wool from them in November 2020, which never arrived, after contacting them I was told they wouldn’t even look into it’s disappearance until 20th January 2021, I had to chase them again for a refund!

I do visit the Shop in Warrington on occasion and the staff there are so friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble . The stock they hold there is just amazing.
Recently ordered some wool as my mother…
Recently ordered some wool as my mother is cocooning at home. The wool was out of stock but we recieved an email to explain this was the case and there would be a slight delay. I ordered.some additional small craft pieces and emailed customer service to request they be sent with the package, unfortunately they couldn't send within th one package but refunded the additional postage charge. Super for communication and costumer service highly recommend this online retailer...
Reliable, knowledgeable and trustworthy
I often visit BSW and love the personal and knowledgeable service but I've recently been ordering on line. Given that I'm in quite remote area of Scotland and like everyone we have problems due to Covid, it was a particularly pleasant surprise to receive my delivery within 3 days of ordering. Usual high quality service in every respect and a totally trustworthy family run company
Super Happy With Service & Fab Workshops!
Super happy with my latest order from Black Sheep Wools. It came really fast too :) The online site is easy to use and has loads of fab yarn options, though their shop is even more brilliant! I also attended a learn to crochet workshop there recently and thought it was brilliant, so I'd thoroughly recommend their workshops!
