Information provided by various external sources

Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. is an American video game developer and publisher founded on February 8, 1991 under the name Silicon & Synapse by three graduates of UCLA, Michael Morhaime, Allen Adham and Frank Pearce. Based in Irvine, California, the company originally concentrated primarily on the creation of game ports for other studios before beginning development of their own software in 1993 with the development of games like Rock N' Roll Racing and The Lost Vikings. In 1994 the company became Blizzard Entertainment Inc before being acquired by distributor Davidson & Associates and later by Vivendi. Shortly thereafter, Blizzard shipped their breakthrough hit Warcraft: Orcs and Humans. Blizzard went on to create several successful PC games, including the Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo series, and the MMORPG World of Warcraft. On July 9, 2008, Activision officially merged with Vivendi Games, culminating in the inclusion of the Blizzard brand name in the title of the resulting holding company, though Blizzard Entertainment remains a separate entity with independent management.[3] Blizzard Entertainment offers events to meet players and to announce games: the BlizzCon in California, United States, and the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in other countries, such as Paris, France and Seoul, South Korea. I'm confused to why as of late this company has been doing active card checks on my bank account. What's going on? I never registered my current bank account with Blizzard Entertainment and I haven't had an active account with them for close to a decade. I thought they were supposed to be a reputable gaming company but this is very serious and is not giving Blizzard Entertainment a good impression.

Well I just spent $400 on trying to make a wow account. They gladly took my money but no account. I have a new email and it kept saying account already existed. Still took my money lol even though I can't play the game.

It appears they run a Scam

It appears they run a Scam. I buy a game, install it, then get banned from ever starting it as my new account is banned for no reason before I could play a single second.

Update June 2025
I've issued a Subject Access request to Blizzard. They are now working on getting my data to me.

Subject Access Request (SAR) allows an individual to request access to their personal information held by an organization, including where the information came from, what it's used for, and who it's shared with. This right of access is a core element of data protection law

What happened in my game was absolutely…

What happened in my game was absolutely PREPOSTEROUS. See, me and teammate was enjoying a casual match of overwatch ranked until all of our teammates departed from the game, leaving us but stranded to fight against 2 tank articles, 2 supports, and a character with arguably the highest damage output in the entire game. I must let Blizzard Entertainment know that this is completely UNACCEPTABLE and my day is completely soiled with the fact that we had to continue the game as a 2v5.

RIP Blizzard

I have years of played time, multiple BNET games.
Will no longer buy or use any games.
Over the years I've had issues with customer service.
Whilst ingame GM's can be helpful.
Account recovery is idiotic.
Earlier in the year I tried to recover my account as I accidentally deleted the app off my phone, but you now need the app to recover your information...

I spoke with several GM's over weeks and submitted all the information they required, including photo ID, character login screen shots, receipts, bank statements etc, which they decided were all invalid...

A month or so ago I found an old phone which still had the app, I recovered my account, all the information I submitted was accurate but they invalidated it at every step.

Will never use BNET/blizzard ever again

Terrible customer service.

I hope Microsoft clean house soon this company has a bad reputation for helping clients and gamers alike. I tried to get my profile name updated with my new email address. Blizzard insist on giving me the roll around and sending me back and forth to Sony PS network customer service. It was actually Blizzard Entertainments issue. They have a system error with updating players account information. But, when I play call of duty games I have no issue with my gamer tag. Blizzard makes great games but , I think most of the staff needs to leave and find other jobs. Blizzard is not the gaming environment for lazy, and sorry developers. I have deleted Overwatch 2 off my PS5. I will not be supporting Blizzard games anymore.

This companies launcher is so scuffed its not even funny theyve had a million data breaches offer horrendes customer support and their games usually are using region locked servers (i spent 13ish bucks for a month of WoW to play with my girlfriend in germany and NOWHERE EVER did it say that i would have to 1. give blizzard PROOF OF RESIDENCY like the governemt requires when you move to change my region or 2. make a new account and rebuy the damn game on a correct server) DO NOT USE BLIZZARD GAMES GET YOUR GAMES SOMEWHERE ELSE

This will be the easiest of several…

This will be the easiest of several reviews I have to write today of some of the dumbest companies with the easiest job in the world and I wish I was exaggerating.

Blizzards main cash grab, I'm sorry video game is over watch

The truth is overwatch was never good at any point. They clearly paid for "game of the year"

The only reason it has such a player base is because of the social element but due to the corporate greed of all the video game companies I will be reviewing today (blizzard your the worst by the way) which ANYONE with a basic business degree which I don't even have should know this. But to ever put REVENUE over QUALITY OF PRODUCT is basically the company either saying "our fans are mindless idiots" or "we actually want to go out of business"

So what's wrong about over watch

The main thing skill based matchmaking that the developers think they are hiding from the player base. Because they don't play the game

It is blatantly obvious to anyone who does

Blizzard uses several kindergarten psychology tactics to dangle a carrot on a stick in front of players

One of the "positive reinforcement" ideas is the ranking system which due to skill based mmr doesn't even exist.

Blizzard forces 50/50 win rates that are beyond obvious. You play your first few games of the day you win easily. Then the more you play you lose terribly. No inbetween. Not one single competitive game and has the nerve to act like they hide it and are fixing the "real" issues

Again the developers know this game sucks so clearly they don't play it. But if they did they would know it is blatantly obvious when you have good teammates and a trash enemy team. And when you have trash teammates and the enemy team has a straight 5 stack of OWL wanna be's BLATANTLY OBVIOUS. Meaning the MMR has decided who will win and who will lose before the match even started which is ridiculous

Next all of the heroes are garbage. I've played several games call of duty SW battlefront 2 dragon ball xenoverse 2. And I realized something. All the characters in OW even the dive characters compared to other games are immobile making them incredibly easy to kill because the most mobile ones only have one ability they can even use to get around on a average of 6 second cool down

I won't get into what blizzard knows they do wrong (canceling pve releasing OW2 only to add a battle pass now trying to farm money from something that used to be free skins... idiots)

What I have realized with the time I wasted playing this horrible game is that blizzard only got away with all of this because of the social elements

Which are ruined because players are toxic and punishing them because you guys never made a good game but paid for awards and marketing instead of focusing on the game itself is why

Add in no skill characters such as bastion torb symettra Moira brig mei and whoever else

And if I was a player who got fooled by marketing and kindergarten psychology tactics I would be toxic too

Blizzard as a company and everyone who works for them not only deserve to go out of business but to politely do a doomfist seismic slam right off the nearest bridge

Please and thank you :)

Half finished products and allot of…

Half finished products and allot of crashes as a result.

When they released Diablo 4, there were quite allot of errors and bugs that crashed the game but nothing like the new Vessel of hatred extension to Diablo 4. I am experiencing constant crashes and they don´t feel the need to act on any of the reports I've fiven them. They are arrogant in their believe that the customer won't don't anything so I ask you not to buy any thing from them. There is a reason why they only have 1.2 stars at the point I write this report, it's because the are truly bad at correcting what needs to be fixed.

Awful game. I have spent so much on it and due to it's toxic community I got banned permanently for singing song lyrics in match chat to Ariana Grande. Like wtf. I didn't even do anything.

Games gone down the pan

Absolutely ruined the game ive played since launch World of Warcraft.
Deleted my copied characters because i went on a 1 year gap!

Deleted characters that i spent over a year building up! ALL THAT TIME AND EFFORT!!!! And they just deleted them like its nothing!!!

The new content is just aweful.

The whole game is run by gold sellers. You cant do anything without buying cold from third partys and blizzard allows it.

Im DONE!

Worst support I've ever seen.

All game complaints aside, the support is the worst thing I've ever experienced. I've had an account with Blizzard/Battle.net for 10+ years now (not exaggerating) and there was a time when they cared...but that is long gone. For at least the last 3-5 years, it's nothing but copy/paste replies where they DON'T EVEN READ YOUR TICKET! They don't play the games they're supporting, they don't read your requests, then they close the tickets THEMSELVES because they know the players aren't actually getting helped. They should be ashamed...but they just don't care.

Even account creation is broken

Wanted to play starfield 2 because it's highly praised as a LAN game. I couldn't get passed the account creation. I completed the outrageous captcha 3 times with different setups (through Google account, facebook account and manual). This company is so incompetent that they wasted 30mins of my life and can't even manage to setup account creation that's not broken and full of bugs.
