Information provided by various external sources

Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. is an American video game developer and publisher founded on February 8, 1991 under the name Silicon & Synapse by three graduates of UCLA, Michael Morhaime, Allen Adham and Frank Pearce. Based in Irvine, California, the company originally concentrated primarily on the creation of game ports for other studios before beginning development of their own software in 1993 with the development of games like Rock N' Roll Racing and The Lost Vikings. In 1994 the company became Blizzard Entertainment Inc before being acquired by distributor Davidson & Associates and later by Vivendi. Shortly thereafter, Blizzard shipped their breakthrough hit Warcraft: Orcs and Humans. Blizzard went on to create several successful PC games, including the Warcraft, Starcraft and Diablo series, and the MMORPG World of Warcraft. On July 9, 2008, Activision officially merged with Vivendi Games, culminating in the inclusion of the Blizzard brand name in the title of the resulting holding company, though Blizzard Entertainment remains a separate entity with independent management.[3] Blizzard Entertainment offers events to meet players and to announce games: the BlizzCon in California, United States, and the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in other countries, such as Paris, France and Seoul, South Korea. Terrible company

At first i was surprised that they have THAT many bad reviews, but they deserve every single one. Extremely bad support.

Same as most reviews here, they let loyal players go just like that and flip you off at any attempt to actually solve problem.

Blizzard Punished Me for Asking for…

Blizzard Punished Me for Asking for Support — Then Silenced Me With a Suspension

I’ve been a Blizzard customer for over a decade. When the Battle.net desktop app broke — refusing to connect, install, or log in — I spent two months trying to fix it. I followed every support step they provided: full reinstalls, network resets, registry fixes, and advanced diagnostics. I submitted all evidence clearly and respectfully.

I asked — just once — for my case to be reviewed by an actual technician instead of getting ignored by templated replies from “Game Masters.” Their response? A 168-hour suspension of my account for supposedly "violating support policy."

This is how Blizzard treats loyal customers:
❌ Refuse to solve your problem
❌ Punish you for asking for help
❌ Threaten you with permanent account termination

I was never rude, never abusive, and never once asked for anything outside normal support — only that someone actually look into my case. Instead, they flagged me, silenced me, and refused to provide a single line of explanation.

Blizzard’s support system is a wall of indifference! If your issue falls outside their script, they will treat you like a nuisance and ban you rather than fix anything! They sell you broken products and punish you for asking them to work!

I will never trust this company again — and neither should you!

Would give 0 stars if I could

Would give 0 stars if I could.

Really horrendous system, very very very bad customer support.

It wasn't always like this, but after 19 years of playing Blizzard games, I finally realised it is no longer a company I can support.

Very sad.

It'd Be Nice To Deal With REAL People

As someone who has been playing since release - not being able to talk to a human, receiving a 6 month ban for something I can't even appeal with a HUMAN being, and lack of information regarding it is beyond me. What's even more unnerving, is if you're just going to utilize automated replies - what is the point of the appeal system anyways? And if you're just not going to hear your player base out - what is the point of offering the option? People have hardware that requires software, that I've found SURPRISINGLY triggers your scanner with similar results. Upheld. I'm disappointed with where Blizzard has gone - customer support was a lot better back in 2006...

Unfair account blocking and lack of support

Blizzard unfairly banned my account, accusing me of violating their rules. However, I am sure that I did not break any rules. I submitted an appeal to support, but they simply sent a templated response and did not provide any evidence of violations. Moreover, after I tried once again to explain the situation and asked them to provide proof, they completely blocked my ability to submit further requests and gave me no chance to defend myself. This is just a way to force people to create new accounts and spend money on the game again! Many players face the same unfair bans, and Blizzard doesn’t even try to investigate the situations properly.

Horrible customer support.

Horrible customer support.
I’ve been a loyal customer for 20 years, playing almost all of their games.
I needed help due to a bug in one of their games.
I received zero help and nothing to assist me in moving forward with the process.

Why do people keep giving this terrible…

Why do people keep giving this terrible company money? STOP! No issue is EVER resolved. The "Game Masters" are mostly bots They're powerless, helpless, and very few. No more Live Chat, no more phone options, 24-72 hours before responses, only to have automated messages and/or a fake almost sarcastic we care so much about you without even an attempt EVER to resolve anything. This level of negative service should be illegal. STOP giving this company your money! They take advantage of you idiots! STOP

Very bad phone number verification

AWFUL experience trying to play the new Black Ops. I paid nearly £75 for it! My phone number was linked to an old account so I couldn't use it. Now I need to get a new phone number or convince someone to help me spam them with texts just to log in? How inconvenient. Awful service. Customer service were useless too, just reiterating they can't help and I need a new number. Joke.

Non Existant Customer Service

Zero star review. Suspensions are given out based on frivolous reporting processes and automated flags. None of your customer service inquiries are ever answered. If you do get an answer it’s just an automated template email. No human assistance, and you’ll get the same automated template message indefinitely offering no additional context and your ticket gets marked as answered or resolved. This once great company is now completely run by bots.

Bloated login experience/bad customer service

Too much hassle trying to recover my account. Forced two factor authentication when I never wanted it, has cost me my account. I no longer have access to the phone number or authenticator attached to my account, and nothing they offer validates my need to sit and fight with their shitty customer service. Not to mention the insufferable AI training verification I have to every time a page loads. **** this whole company. World of warcraft isnt worth this headache.

Terrible Customer support and game production

They have a game called overwatch, you literally get banned for saying words such as "2ez", "gg nice try", "I'm the best". You can not have any fun talking or communicating with anyone. The only way is to play the game silently. Terrible game and the service i got from their support team was horrible, did not even let me respond to what they said and closed my ticket. Lmao treated me like I was nothing and threw me away, with the ban as well.

What a horrible service trying to play a game.

What a horrible service.

1. Bought Diablo 4
2. Long wait times to connect to server.
3. Error message when trying to link PSN account to Blizzard account.
4. Tried to create new Blizzard account, but the human verification is broken. You ask me to solve 5 stupid math puzzles, some of which don't even have the right answer available. (Tried with friends as well as I was shocked at how insane this process was.)

Jesus, do you even want me to play your game? Such a frustrating experience. How can a multi-billion company have such bad services...

Reached out to the company for help…

Reached out to the company for help with a game and received an email from some delusional customer service representative who gave me their entire made up back story about how they were Ivan snaggletooth of the moronfest mountain tribe or some nonsense. Absolutely childish Uber nerds working there that are completely unhelpful. I blocked them from ever emailing me again.

Scam artists

Scam artists.

Never buy from the store - they tried and failed to steal £200 of my money (which luckily my bank got involved with and took it back off of the pr1cks).

Never sent out the items I ordered and when you try to contact them you get completely ignored or have an Indian guy on the other end acting like he’s breaking up. Appalling company

Blizzard Does Not Care About Its Players

After nearly two decades of being a loyal Blizzard player, I have never been treated with such disrespect and disregard. I was wrongfully suspended despite providing clear evidence of my innocence, and Blizzard refused to even properly review my case.

To make things worse, when I requested a refund for my unused game time and services, they dismissed my request with generic, copy-paste responses instead of actually helping me. Their customer support is slow, unhelpful, and refuses to take accountability for their mistakes.

On top of that, I encountered issues with redeeming old CD keys for games I rightfully own, and instead of resolving the issue, Blizzard just kept giving me the runaround. It’s clear that they only care about money, not their players.

I’ve reported actual cheaters in the past and followed their rules for nearly 20 years, but the moment I needed support, they shut me down and treated me like I didn’t matter. This company has gone completely downhill, and I no longer trust them.

Save your money—Blizzard does not deserve your support. Avoid this company at all costs.

Blizzard entertainment / ZERO integrity…

Blizzard entertainment is unable to keep up with the volume of account holders they have, as well as to come up with an efficient reporting system. I did absolutely nothing wrong and received a ban on my overwatch account after being cussed out on chat. In other words, I got banned from my account because the opposing team were a bunch of sore losers that reported me for no reason at all. I have tried numerous ways to submit a web ticket, talk to customer service, an email, a phone number, anything. I’ve had absolutely zero luck and now I’ve poured tons of money and tons of hours into an account that I no longer have access to whatsoever. I will no longer be giving this dishonest and disloyal company my business.
