I was given a very thorough assessment by Assesor Dean Heasley which gave me more confidence in my driving. Where I did have faults, I was given indebt instructions and debriefing on how to move forward. Even though he looks tough enough to make any driver nervous, he did manage to make me feel relaxed prior to testing.

I just pass my taxi test with orfane manzor. It was a very excellent experience with her.

I took an assessment in Cambridge with an assessor who had no internet to check the vehicle had valid MOT. John was extremely harsh to say the least, I’m switching licenses and already do chauffeuring and taxi work. John wasn’t very friendly at all and marked me down for very harsh minor faults. He was patronising at the end of the test, wouldn’t let me speak or ask questions, no positive feedback. Maybe I caught John on a bad day? I got that impression, I drove round familiar roads to me safely without any major incident so to accrue 16 faults was mega harsh.
May sound bitter just because John failed me but it was more the experience with this rude man, I would NEVER entertain blue lamp again. I have since passed with a company called Diamond advanced motorists with no issues, ironic.

I don’t usually leave reviews. I’m generally very reasonable, I accept constructive feedback easily, and I understand that assessments need standards. If something doesn’t go perfectly, I’m usually the first to assume there’s context I’m missing.

This experience was different.

What became clear to me after the assessment, and only really after stepping back and reflecting, is how much of this process is built on discretion rather than evidence. The outcome relies almost entirely on the assessor’s observation and judgement. There’s no requirement for independent measurement, no tools used to support certain claims, and candidates aren’t allowed to record the assessment for their own learning or clarity. That isn’t necessarily wrong, but it does mean the system lives or dies on the integrity, neutrality, and communication of the assessor.

In my case, the feedback itself sounded reasonable in the moment. However, on reflection, it felt as though the assessment was being interpreted through a particular lens. Certain points were emphasised in a way that didn’t fully align with the marked assessment, and the overall direction of the feedback felt weighted towards a negative outcome rather than a balanced evaluation of the drive as a whole. It left me with a sense that judgement was being applied selectively, rather than consistently.

This process affects people’s licences and livelihoods. When that’s the case, transparency, consistency, and credibility aren’t optional extras, they’re essential. For me, the overall setup felt more focused on policy enforcement and consequence than on fair, clearly evidenced assessment.

At the end of the day, everyone has to make their own choice. I’m sharing this because I wish I’d understood how this assessment actually works before booking. Personally, I wouldn’t choose this provider again, and I’d strongly encourage others to look carefully at alternative companies in their area.

Rating this company even 1 star it’s too much. This company is making money,I had my test with Louise, the test supposed to be 45 minutes and she take me for one hour and five minutes she try her best to fail me , even 7years with a clean license , she’s unprofessional.
I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone I know.
