Poor customer service and refund process
Order not delivered. Contacted BLR after 18 days as per their help guidelines. Issue with the website not processing the order and the items were not in stock. Advised the refund would be processed within 10 days. Over a month later, still no refund so had to open a case with PayPal to get the refund. No response to last few messages sent so I had no option.

I will never order from these guys again. Their delivery service is ridiculously slow, 8 days for delivery! I placed my order on Wednesday, and they’re telling me I won’t receive it until next Wednesday. By then, my frozen items will have run out.
I requested a refund, and now I have to wait until Monday (after the weekend) to get it. It takes just 2 minutes to process a PayPal refund, yet they’re making me wait. Their customer service is a joke. they weren’t interested in helping at all, and to top it off, the email on their website doesn’t even work.
Avoid this company. Terrible service.
10 days later no frozen food delivered and I have not received a refund, I cannot call them over the landlines because they cannot hear you, what wrong with your mobile phone, everyone has one, this is bad practice for your business, no wonder your getting rate badly.

Not a good experience
My first order from this company didn’t arrive and they had to send me out a replacement so it was a long time before I received my items and then the latest order I got, one of the pot of locusts smelt of rotten cabbage and the majority of them were dead. I emailed them twice and got no response and no refund or replacement. Terrible customer service ignoring emails.

Supplied short-dated stock. Seemed helpful with first response to my concern and then absolutely nothing. Customer service seemed non-existent. Eventually Blue Lizard did the honourable thing and provided an appropriate refund.

I found them ok . Not had a problem and are competitive on their prices and free postage over £50. They dispatch quick.
Customer service needs some work.
Delivery was late with no update (no reply from the company when asked for an update), suggested 1-3 days and took over a week. Packaging was split and no padding inside, luckily everything was in the part opened box. When I did get the email telling me my items are on their way they arrived the next day (well done to the courier). My items were as described and I'm pleased with them but I won't be ordering again from this company.

Visited the store with my wife and 2 young boys with a view to buying a corn snake. Excellent customer service, nothing was too much trouble and had patience with my 2 excited little boys.
Wasn't sure on which type of corn snake we wanted so got to view them all and explained thoroughly.
We purchased the starter setup and a corn snake. Everything perfect on the setup. Corn snake has settled in brilliantly. Very tame, feeding, drinking and also had his first shed.

Used to be good, orders would be sent quickly and were reasonably priced. Not sure what's happened lately but my last order wasn't dispatched. When I chased it after 10 days, I was told that they had been chasing the products with the suppliers back and forth, for them to eventually be told 2 of the flavours of repashy I'd ordered were discontinued, despite being listed as in stock on the site, and did I want 2 others instead. I replied with what I'd like instead and they said no problem and it would be dispatched the following day. After another 2 and a half weeks my order arrived. With 2 tubs of the same repashy mix. I was not contacted prior to tell me this would be the case, had I been I would have cancelled 1 tub.
Overall very poor, its a shame as like I said they used to be OK.

Items weren’t all correct, 1 item must of been out of stock and was replaced with another which I don’t need.
Also took a while for delivery with no despatch or tracking number.
After reading the other reviews I am not even going to try and get another replacement or a refund of the wrong item as you do not get a reply when you contact them

I had great customer service and I called twice. Once on a Saturday and again during the week. I was a little worried by some reviews so I called to check on my order. Answered quickly and advised they would arrive by Wednesday.
I then called just to check as the despatch did take a day or 2 longer than I expected but then it came the day after anyway on time.today.
These guys offer very competitive prices and free delivery over £50 which is half the cap for some of the other large reptile retailers. I didn’t expect it in an exceptionally fast delivery service anyway.
All in all maybe if you want something ASAP just call them. They where very happy to help!

I ordered a couple of items by mistake…
I ordered a couple of items by mistake and emailed immediately to ask for the items to be cancelled. I never heard back from the seller. The items arrived so I emailed again to ask to return the items. After numerous emails without a response, I opened a paypal case. The seller refused to acknowledge that I'd tried to email despite photographic evidence of all the emails. Paypal closed the case without an explanation and I can't use the products. Terrible service. Avoid!
Absolute shambles and fraudsters
Absolute shambles and scammers. I ordered on the 23rd April 2022 a number of items which were not highlighted as out of stock. 80% of the items arrived substituted and 20% had not been delivered. The items delivered were cheaper than those I ordered and a number of line items not delivered had a handwritten note saying they delivered what they could to avoid a delay. The substitutions had taken place without my knowledge or permission. It took 2 months of emails, with no reply, to get the difference in cost refunded for the substituted items and we are now into the 3rd month without the undelivered items. Do not spend a single penny on this website because you are literally gambling whether or not the items are in stock or not and if they even turn up.
How dare a retail store substitute items with cheaper merchandise without a consumer's knowledge or permission and then the absolute cheek to take 2 months to refund the difference, and still a further month and still have not fulfilled an order? Absolutely disgusting and a scam! This is fraud according to the consumer rights act and I am well within my rights to take action but I have been patient.
Shoppers beware...
I have every email and trail as evidence of lack of communication from Blue Lizard Reptile. I give you two weeks before I take all this evidence to Facebook where it will be on display for every single person to view.

We have been regular customers in the the shop and have recently placed a couple of orders that were shipped. Beth sorted my order this time with great attention to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. (Some specific pieces of wood for our vivs and some live food). The order arrived when she said it was in good condition. We have also received ongoing advice and information in the store and with many phone calls to ensure our reptiles are properly cared for and they are thriving. Joanne sorted out my last order with advice on which ceramic bulbs to use a wet cave and live food which was also received exactly as expected. I can’t express how grateful we are for there continued support in our hobby. Thanks for everything

No problems at all! I ordered a vivarium it was dispatched on the 14th and arrived on the 15th and to top it off communication was easy :)
Badly damaged - poor customer service
Ordered a tortoise table cabinet. Initially customer service was very good, they were helpful in choosing the cabinet and it was sent quickly. However, it arrived incredibly damaged, we had to cut parts off as they were so bad, sand bits down and luckily most of the damage was at the back so hid a lot of it. I contacted Blue Lizard the same day and attached photos - they said if we would be happy to keep they would send over a partial refund. At this point we had spent so much time trying to fix the damage we agreed to a partial refund, thinking it would pay for a new back which we could attach ourselves. This is where communication stopped. No refund and no reply to any message - chased 5 times!
