I ordered the Bodymax CTX5 for my home…

I ordered the Bodymax CTX5 for my home gym. I am more than impressed! I have saved so much space now I can do all my strength training in one place. The build quality is great (although because of this, it did take me a long time to put it together) delivery was fast (I ordered from Fitshop) 10/10 would recommend.

I do not think the incline bench is good in anyway.

I have a body max incline bench and all I can say is it’s terrible. The proportion of the back support is far to short to properly get my chest area under the bar, I quite often need to lunge the bar forward to get it into a decent range of motion. Then there how slender the back padding is, I’m quite a big guy but I found my back was getting worn out trying to balance myself. The. There’s the where the feet/legs go, the bolt would constantly come undone making me lose balance mid rep. I personally can’t recommend at least the incline being to anyone.

Had a Bodymax RM 60 rowing machine

Had a Bodymax RM 60 rowing machine. Used only lightly. After just over 2 years stopped working. Many emails later ( most to me referring to getting back to me, without any progress) finally had offer of major replacement parts at cost of £228. They must have assumed that the new parts were needed, without inspection, after 2 years, so perhaps these break down regularly after fairly little use. Decided to scrap since presumably another two years would need another £228. Taken to local tip who will be grateful for the scrap I assume. New rower purchased elsewhere.

Bad customer service

I order a waist trainer and followed the size chart to my suprise it didn’t fit. So I took the steps to exchange. I knew that they said you would have to pay return shipping. To my suprise again that was $14.90. They then stated you had to pay $14 fee to receive the exchange. $30 for a exchange that’s ridiculous. Upon returning the original waist trainer I never received the invoice and it is now been almost 2 months with no resolution

Not a professional organisation that cares about their customers

Requested information many times from BodyMax on one of their products but they ignore all emails. Quite frustrating as they seem to try and portray themselves as a professional organisation.
Item in question is the "Bodymax Elite Adjustable Hi-Low Pulley machine with 72KG stack" sold on Amazon, Powerhouse fitness and many other online retailers. Most of these types of cable machine have a weight to resistance ration of 2:1. Requested confirmation several times from manufacturer but got no answer. Presume this is due to not wanting to confirm this machine offers a lot less in way of resistance than that advertised. If ratio is 2:1 then actual resistance is only approx 36KG. A lot less than people looking to purchase item are lead to believe.
