Disappointing

Our experience with Boen has been nothing short of disappointing. We chose to pay a premium price for what we believed to be a high-quality wooden floor, trusting the brand’s reputation. Instead, we received an expensive but faulty product—wooden planks with stains that look like they were made with paint.

Unfortunately, the issue only became apparent after installation. When a Boen representative inspected the floor, he admitted that this should not have happened and confirmed the stains were a defect. However, after acknowledging the mistake, he pratically disappeared. We reached out to his manager and even the company’s MD, but despite more than a month of emails and follow-ups, we have received no response—not even an apology.

Boen seems to refuse to take any accountability for their faulty product. Their complete lack of customer service and disregard for our situation has forced us to seek legal advice for the financial loss they have caused. This was supposed to be the dream flooring for our first home, but instead, it has turned into a nightmare—and Boen seems not to care at all.

Easy to clean and refresh - recommend oiled wooden flooring

My BOEN floor is now almost 20 years old and we still enjoy it. Of course there are scratches and hacks. But it is still cosy and the touch and feel of real wood is incomparable.
I have recently had a deep cleaning on the oiled stairs. Absolutely fascinating how easy it was to clean stains and re-oil. And so nice refreshed! :-)

Tappatec Flooring -Boen Oak Pale White

We had a very professional expirence dealing with Tappatec Flooring. Samples were sent out and arrived within a day. We were referred to a dealer whom had their own installer. Our flooring was in stock and shipped all in a weeks time. The installer loved working with Boen. Easy to install our Oak Pale White T&G, Live Pure.
We absolutley love our new floor and the wife is happy:)

The most beautiful hardwood floor we ever had

We bought the Prestige Iroko/Kambala in 2018 and had it installed in a herringbone pattern by a professional floor layer. They did extensive prep work to get our subfloors straight. The result is fantastic, we love our floor. We have an active lifestyle and two kids, so we expected the floor gets some punches here and there. My husband did some minor repairs with the BOEN Repair Kit Live Matt. You need to be pretty meticulous to get good results with this repair kit. We ended up by simply accepting that the floor shows some dents after 5 years of intensive use (dining room, kitchen). The cleaning is easy and generally speaking, we’re very satisfied with our choice.

Excellent product, I definitely recommend!

Great supplier of engineered wood products; would purchase again. Used product in many of our projects, we’ve used Live Pure floors, both clic and T&G. Our customers like the low sheen level of the oiled and Live Pure floors. They also offer an entire set of floor care products like soaps, polishes and cleaners.

Oak Antique Brown Natural oil

I bought Oak Antique Brown Natural oil, works really well in bedrooms. Texture of floors feels really nicely, I love the design and the quality, also it was easy to install. I have heard that you have to be careful with liquids, nothing will happen if you will clean water quickly, but if you will leave puddle for the night probably will have the stain there. I'm trying to be careful, do not had problems there and just really enjoy the natural warm feeling and look.

Will never buy again

Will never buy again. We purchased Boen Oak Foggy Brown flooring for our new staircase. The stain is a nightmare to avoid. It is impossible to color match and Boen does not sell color correction pens, unless you buy the entire catalogue from Germany for every product they make ($$$). The North America office, regional distributors, and retailers do not sell them. Every single scratch is impossible to fix and requires complete replacement. Terrible quality for the price. Looks great when brand new but run the other way.
We also asked about the product Bona Traffic HD and which version to use to try and protect the floors, we never heard back despite the promises they would let us know. The lack of installation instructions, stain pens, and how to protect the finish is ridiculous.

Chaletino.

Chaletino.

Used Chaletino for a project with LIVE PURE laquer - it's held up amazing so far. We recently completed a project with the competitor who had lots of natural light and the surface colour changed rather quickly. You can always re oil but it's a pain. The Live PURE laquer has a high UV resistance and so far our clients are impressed.

We have the ash engineered floor

We have the ash engineered floor. It is the worst floor I have ever had. It flakes. peels, cracks. Boen does not stand behind their product. I do not recommend this floor to anyone. I am going to have to replace it after just one year of use.

The stain comes off if you rub with a cloth!

We have just had a Live Natural Boen Floor laid and we are very disappointed. We obtained the maintenance products recommended (with great difficulty and expense as there are no suppliers near by) and applied the protective wash and finish as directed. To our horror when rubbing the finish into the floor we realised that the stain was coming off! We had a wooden parquet floor before this for 30 + years and so we are well used to looking after a real wood floor. We are trying to address the problem with the installers but without confidence - they didn't even know that Boen recommended oiling the floor after installation.
I regret to say this but "don't buy from Boen"

Boen Flooring poor quality.

We purchased a Boen floor for our Hall and kitchen spending several thousand pounds. After a couple of months we noticed that the sides of some boards were splitting. We informed retailer who eventually came with Boen rep. It was like a pantomime double act. They said it was a fitting issue except the splits were on the side of boards that were place in first ! There are lots of indentations and chips on top surface too. We are extremely careful with the general care and have used all recommended cleaning products but this is a very soft t finish and not suitable for anywhere let alone a floor in domestic use. We never wear outdoor shoes in house so floor should looked like new. 25 year guarantee a farce. Dont buy from this company. Should have gone with Kahrs flooring. We will probably have to replace floor at some time in near future except it is under new kitchen units which will have to be removed. A total nightmare

Boen engineered floorboards are…

Boen engineered floorboards are actually quite soft, a few obvious scratches appeared without knowing why a few months after installation in kitchen, and bear in mind we were very careful. Though new boards look pretty, you need to consider this, to me not good quality!

I have to agree with the poor customer …

I have to agree with the poor customer service. The floor is great shame about the after care service. Had issue with my flooring that needed to be lifted up urgently and needed advise on how to safely remove the express click lock. They didn't seem to care much or had any urgency in helping or even bother replying to me. Felt like I was bothering them and they had far more important things to be doing than spend a little time helping me. Wish I hadn't bothered with the call or the floor now.

One of the best floors available

One of the best floors available! People who are giving this brand bad reviews are misinforming people and most likely had a poor experience with installation, or are not maintaining their floor properly.

Poor quality & service

Installed a very expensive Boen Iroko/Kambala Select 476x68x10 (Protect-Ultra) flooring several years ago. Two single parquet blocks have become discoloured and lacquer has lifted.
It took me months and months to get Boen to visit site and when they did (after contacting their World Wide customer services manager) the Boen Rep sent photos to Boen design lab where (surprisingly) they said it was not their fault... decision made from a photo! Their justification was something had affected the floor.
The flooring supplier (Direct Flooring Centre Ltd) were also useless and made their minds up before the complaint was received.
I'd advise anyone to stay clear of Boen products. Their 25-year warranty is worthless and their customer support is useless. Obviously customer service is meaningless to Boen.

stay away from that company

I cannot say anything about the quality of products so far (installation starts tomorrow) but there is a lot to say about the service. As distributors had poor knowledge of Boen products I contacted Polish sales representative to get the information in detail about floorboards I had seen in the store. He misinformed me and then didn't want to admit his mistake later on. After several days of negotiations I accepted the boards and asked for some compensation - with no success.
Customer who paid and got the product is no more important. Stay away from that company to avoid complications.

BOEN Flooring: Luxury prices for appalling quality

We purchased some expensive Pearl Oak flooring which has faded after just 2 months of installation and is very sensitive to the most minor of stains. They are refusing to assist in the matter and essentially throwing the blame back at us. Needless to say, I would recommend steering clear of this company.
