IMBARCO IMPEDITO DA PERSONALE DI TERRA
On 23/06/2024 at Bologna-Marconi airport, I checked in and dropped off my luggage around 08:00 for Ryanair flight FR2009 to Trapani at 10:40. The gate was changed without notification, and despite arriving at the new gate on time, I was blocked by uncooperative staff who refused to identify themselves and provide explanations. They revealed later to have depart the bus to reach the airplane before the scheduled gate closing time. This caused me to miss the flight along with three other passengers. I had to pay a penalty of 110 euros to board the next flight.
Bologna Airport is a total nightmare
This airport is a nightmare. If I could give it less stars, I would. Queue for security starts outside the terminal. An hour in the queue in the heat. It is inhumane. Cattle are treated better! Once security is cleared, another nightmare. Overcrowded with not enough seating.
Marconi express to get here is expensive.
I will never fly from here again.

Worst airport I have ever been too
Worst airport I have ever been too. Not aligned with European standards or even any standards.
Took 2-hours to go through security
Took 2-hours to go through security , completely disorganised, rude staff
The most expensive airport in the…
The most expensive airport in the world.Half an hour parking E.12.Once inside very few chairs for resting waiting for the bording.Avoid!!Better to go to Verona airport if you can.Good prices and better services
Very small and too crowded airport
Very small and too crowded airport. Not enough seats available. People waiting to depart seat on the floor since there are not enough seats available and the most of the gates have no seats at all. Three toilets only after security check, I had to queue for up to 30 min. Lounge is before security check. No fast lane available.
A very bad experience.🙁🙁
Pay to get a luggage kart
Landed there....you have to pay to get a kart for the luggage in the carousel area. Really??? This happens in a few airports in the world....shame.
Never again
Checked airport website day before due to travel and the only alert on the homepage was " 25 minutes to get through security". Checked it again on day of travel and nothing had changed. Went for a final leisurely stroll around bologna then a taxi to the airport. Walked in to scenes of absolute chaos,11 desks open for Ryanair bag drop off and a queue in the region of over 1000 people . A tiny screen above the queue suggested a QUEUE TIME OF THREE HOURS!!!!! Two stressful hours later , bag deposited then a rush upstairs to security and another 25 minutes then rounded the corner to departure gate to see hundreds of people milling around with nobody in control. Had the airport been professionally managed we would have spent money on dining, and again in the shops buying last minute presents, but I'm happy to say we spent nothing. Never again
Really bad airport
Really bad airport. Far to small departure terminal to handle the number of passengers that pass through the airport in the high season. It is so bad that it is unsafe with the density of people if there was a major incident causing panic. Apart from safety there is seating for less than 10% of the people in the terminal in high season.
