Reacting to Bramblecrest's response to my review, thanking me for bringing my observations to their attention: what a pity you didn't think that a sunshade needs to block light and make it fit for purpose in the first place because whatever you might do to the product in future, it does not help me with a parasol that is very expensive but barely offers shade! Review dropped from 2 to 1 star!

My original review:
Disappointing level of shade and overall quality, given the premium price tag. My 4x3m cantilever Chichester parasol was more than double the cost of my existing parasol, but the Bramblecrest parasol fabric is thinner and the natural cream-coloured fabric is too translucent to offer adequate shade. I am also concerned that it is likely to stain quite easily, too.
Further, the velcro sash is meanly tight. It only needs to be 5cm longer but even that appears to be too much for Bramblecrest.

Fortunately, I kept my old parasol and am having to use that in another part of the garden, on the hottest days.

Apart from the effective granite weights that this parasol came with, I am struggling to understand how the significant price premium can be justified, especially as the warranty is only 1 year and best thing I can say about their customer service interactions is that they seem brusque and prickly. I really feel there must be better value available elsewhere.

All good except that the quality of the covers is not as good as they used to be. We want waterproof covers resilient enough for the U.K. winter weather and summer weather. Saying they are water resistant is not good enough, and then product is not durable enough.

From delivery to unboxing and assembly, the entire experience has been fantastic. We’ve had our Bramblecrest garden furniture since 2008, and it’s still going strong, so we had high expectations. I’m delighted to say the new 3m parasol is superb, and it’s great to see that Bramblecrest’s outstanding quality is as good as ever. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Bramblecrest to anyone looking for premium garden furniture.

My overall experience with this company has been very poor. False wait times for products. No contact when false wait time changes. Discussions over the phone are defensive and certainly not customer focused when let down “just” a personal statement “well” it’s not my fault. Poor follow up, by emails.

Buying the same product elsewhere 48hours. This company > 3 weeks. Utterly ridiculous!

I do not recommend but if you buy. Check less times, keep on top of the order, as this company does not.

Very good experience in ordering and a superb product

Easy to deal with, well made product, delivered on time.

Customer service was excellent, very helpful indeed.
The items we bought look very smart and are very comfortable. In addition we ordered a replacement cushion box liner because our old one had become damaged and once again thankfully customer service found us one of those as well.
We order all our items across a period of a month and each time we had great experiences with their customer service Sue and Kim. Thank you

I emailed Bramblescrest on 23rd June and sent a reminder again on 29th June. I didn't have high expectations about my query, but it would have been nice to get a response to it rather than just automated replies and nothing further than that. I give up and must face the fact my very expensive item is useless now.

We love our new Bramblecrest parasol so much we have given it a name - er, Peregrine! It arrived just in time for the heatwave and was so needed. It was brought in and installed by a helpful, considerate and friendly team. We were lucky in that our limestone for the base had been delivered separately that day although no-one had told us to expect it. Luckily there was someone here. Otherwise, fab.

Great product, helpful staff and timely delivery

Easy ordering from great Bramblecrest website, which details the various parasol models and options. Delivery was within declared timeframe, for which in this heat we are grateful. The high quality 3 x 3 Ely parasol with rolling granite base was simple to assemble, and up and shading us in no time at all.

The sunshade was delivered exactly on time and I was kept informed of the progress of my order through out.
The sunshade fully lived up to my expectations if not more so.
We are very happy with it.

Yet again, perfect Customer Service from Bramblecrest!
