Questionable...

Right from the off: Breakdownrecoverywirral is actually KIC Bromborough (KIC =Keep It Cheap, as the sign at the business states)

I used this business because my usual and 'Trusted' Mechanic has retired.

Ok, i booked my Motorhome in for a Service & MOT, i was quoted £265.71.

Prior to dropping off, i solemnly swear that there were no faults on this vehicle, everything was working as it should.

After about 2 hours i got a call to state that the Motorhome had failed its test for Wiper Blades.

Revised Bill £317, big difference, an extra £52, yes i could have paid for the MOT purchased the Blades myself and fitted, but ive got to be honest, i felt that a set of Bosch Blades local is more like £25 tops.

And Advisory, Front Shocks Leaking - £1100 if i wanted them done there, **** more on this later

I paid the bill, got into the Motorhome the Radio was on, and would not turn off, there were big thumb prints on the screen and also the Reversing Camera not working, this is essential for my Insurance Cover.

I stopped a short journey down the road to recheck for obvious fuses and malfunctioning switches, nothing so phoned KIC, immediately denied any wrong doing, (i know my Radio), when i asked why the Radio was used for the MOT, i was met with silence, this is clearly quite distressing.

The business owner offered to come round the house, and i accepted, he looked over the unit, continued to press the screen, i asked him not to as this area is sensitive to breakage, 30mins 'sweet talk' later i had the offer of him taking this unit (provided i remove it) to Shrewsbury for repair, i declined as this is a specialist job that needs specialist tools.

I made an appointment with the repair shop, 3 hours later and £413 repair bill.

The shop stated that the screen was indeed fractured and the button ribbon damaged, this is not an accident.

So summary:

I feel over charged for Wiper Blades at £52 for the pair.

I feel extremely sick and annoyed that i had to face the repair alone £413 through no fault of my own.

****I feel happy, Yess Happy i found a garage service that has done the front shocks for £495 FULLY FITTED INCLUDING VAT AND LABOUR

I will be leaving a 5* review on their business page and they will get all of my family business in future.

One thing ive learnt, never trust reviews especially if all reviews are 100%, and the only recourse you have is their Facebook Page which is edited by the owners.
