BEWARE Following a dispute with a…

BEWARE Following a dispute with a neighbour over our access we took on Robert Bourne who was working under Tim Watson, Brewer Harding and Rowe solicitors, who reassured us and our insurance company had a case.

They prepared for a 5 day trial at court. The day before the trial said they wanted to come off record saying the had “conflict of interest"

The jude made them come to court to come off record. They handed over a couple of arch lever folders and “said it was written well good luck, i would adjourn if i was you.”

Of course we had not prepared for that so it was adjourned. And enviable lost the case without representation. The judge said we had been badly advised.

Mr Hodgkiss cannot read and write which they knew and Mrs Hodgkiss grew weaker she passed away in july.

We now owe over 140,000 on our home with interest of 800 a month.

On march 4th we go back to court for them to take our home.

A home with all our memories of mum, wife and Samuels safe space, Michaels is also a full time carer for his son who has schizophrenia and psychosis.

We trusted them, we only went to court because we were insured.

We want to warn others, we wish we had been warned

Absolutely shocking level of service…

Absolutely shocking level of service provided. This company simply does not appear to understand the law or follow the rules, leaving its clients disadvantaged and at huge risk. Their incompetence has resulted in me loosing a significant amount of money. I would strongly advise anyone to never use this firm of solicitors if you want a reliable or competent solicitor.

My experience with Brewer Harding &…

My experience with Brewer Harding & Rowe LLP has been nothing short of shocking! I paid significant fees to this company to represent me and to protect my interests as a lay person. I am not a solicitor, I am not trained in law and hence I relied upon this company to provide me with competent advice and support. I expected them to discharge their Duty of Care towards me, to provide me with advice on the contracts that I was entering into and to make sure I was fully aware and informed of the conditions and liabilities that I was signing up to.

Unfortunately Brewer Harding and Rowe LLP treated the transaction as a tick box exercise and completely failed me in their Duty of Care. They did not inform me of onerous conditions, check out who the parties to the contract were or whether they were even entitled to sign these contracts. They failed to identify multiple serious concerns within the contracts or even the fact that the entire transaction was classified as an illegal UCIS.

They also completely failed to comply with SRA Guidance and as a result, the incompetence of Brewer Harding and Rowe has resulted in a significant personal financial loss.

Brewer Harding & Rowe LLP have been provided with the opportunity to discuss my losses, but are unfortunately refusing to correspond with or talk to me about their failings. My case has been reviewed by another local solicitor and the findings of this review are simply unbelievable! The extent of the failings by BHR are huge and widespread.

BHR LLP are refusing to communicate which means that I now need to take this up with their various regulatory bodies……

My advice to anyone considering Brewer Harding & Rowe LLP as their solicitors is simply don’t!!! Go elsewhere, do your due diligence and select a competent solicitor, which is something BHR have failed to demonstrate!!

If you are looking to work with…

If you are looking to work with solicitors with archaic methods, very bad customer service and hefty extra fees added on for no good reason, then Brewer Harding & Rowe is a great choice for you!
Our solicitor, Tim Nock, did not so much as give us a courtesy call to introduce himself and discuss the process and was impossible to get on the phone whenever I called. He was even too busy and important to return our calls making us feel like we weren't worth his time despite being paying clients. To add insult to injury, he slapped on an extra fee of £250 on the day of completion for having to send a couple of extra emails trying to solve a problem in a fashion he saw fit and not in the way we had instructed.
This firm should be avoided at all costs if you do not wish to add further stress and upset to your already stressful property selling process.

Brewer Harding & Rowe Solicitors

These surely must be the nastiest and most amateurish / unethical solicitors around. My friend used them for conveyancing, to buy a 1/2 million £ house in Barnstaple. He was a cash buyer, having just sold his property in Portugal. Got to the day before exchange, just before Xmas and BHR dropped him on the basis they did not agree with the Portuguese sales methods (in Portugal, if you are not selling / buying through an agent and are a cash buyer, the buyer sends the money directly to the seller), even though a very respected registered Portuguese lawyer emailed BHR confirming the facts, offering whatever proof they needed that everything was 100% proper). BHR rejected this and dropped my friend right in it, as his family had to move out of a terrible rental (big water leak, effluence system broken down, exterior door easily broken into, massive radon levels, etc).

Do I believe BHR's reasons for doing this? No, of course not. I will tell you why they most likely did this to my friend. The agent of the ghastly property he rented uses BHR as solicitors. And my friend is in the process of suing that agent. When the agent sent BHR the papers, they realized there was a conflict of interest (which they should have picked up upon before accepting my friend as a client), and then lied about the reasons for terminating the conveyancing to both cover up their disgraceful lack of process and professionalism, plus in order to claim to be able to represent the rental agent in a much more profitable litigation process involving my friend.

Be warned. Be warned. Be warned. I believe BHR have broken a multitude of legal and lawyer conventions, and acted like really heartless ********* doing what they did and when they did it to my friend.
