The company world’s no1 company provide good experience
I have followed Bright Care from inception so it was natural that when Care at Home for an elderly relative was required I approached Bright Care Perth. As a family we have not been disappointed in the personal care and support package that the Broughty Ferry team have provided. We are reassured by the ability to access on line notes on each visit undertaken by a team member. This is an advantage when not living in the vicinity. The team have stepped up the level of support as and when required always keeping the family in the loop. The team without exception are respectful and communicative.
I have recommended the organisation on several occasions and will continue to do so.

I would not hesitate to recommend Bright Care Edinburgh who have helped my family keep going through an extremely difficult time and continue to provide really "caring" care at home. I turned to this company after witnessing the excellent care they provided for a friend some years ago, and am profoundly grateful for the kind, thoughtful and respectful way they continue to support our elderly family member, and by extension ourselves. It would not be an exaggeration to say their help has transformed the quality of our lives. The managers are easy to contact, diligent in their communication and also kind, experienced and helpful.

Absolutely fantastic service from Brightcare who have been a huge support to my dad, while giving me peace of mind that he’s being well looked after. Sheridan and her team are responsive, caring and supportive of all our requests - cannot rate the team highly enough. Thank you
I cannot praise the bright care team enough .. it has been a difficult time getting my very able and wonderful parents to accept the care they now need… however Justina and Paola have enriched the quality of my parents life and the standard of care and attention is second to none. I have complete confidence in them.
I live abroad so leaving my parents is difficult but this time I know they are in really good hands.
Nicki leads her team with grace, humour and kindness which in turn is passed through her staff to the people that they care for.
Bloody well done 🎉

Bright Care Cranleigh have been looking after my very elderly mother for nearly two years. We have found management and care staff to be concerned and caring and willing to adapt to changes in circumstances as they arise and to accomodate the individual requirements of clients. We feel very fortunate to have found Bright Care

Hi
This is a review from a F.Logan
I cannot thank you enough for all your personal support and kindness to me when I first made enquiries about home care for my Mum. When I first got in touch it was with the thought that a couple of hours a week would be a good start point for Mum to have a little bit of help at home, and get used to the idea of having a carer in the house. However before this was even finalised, Mum had her fall at home, broke her neck of femur, and was in hospital. Despite Covid restrictions, you were able to organise that I had an on-line chat with Mum's carer, so that we could start to build up a rapport. As you know, I had some problems persauding my siblings that home would be best for Mum, and you were so understanding and patient as we worked our way through some challenging dynamics within my family. The result was that Mum made a really successful transition from hospital to home.
Fama was Mum's first experience of having a carer at home, and she was so kind and welcoming. My Mum was fiercely independent previously, and this was quite a shift for her. Fama really respected that this was still very much my Mum's home, and over the weeks they developed a really warm relationship. Fama has been an amazing carer for Mum, and I have had such confidence in knowing that Mum is being really well looked after at home. In particular, Fama's anticipation of issues has been outstanding. Jemma was Mums alternative carer, and again she took great care in ensuring the Mum was so well looked after at home. Before Jemma went on a break she would leave Mum a few little tasty fruit snacks or nuts to encourage her to eat a little be more. Often when I was visiting I would hear laughter and it was lovely to see my Mum get the personal, attentive one to one care she needed.
The prefessionalism of Bright Care and their staff is outstanding. My Mum had had very happy 6 months in her own home and garden and it is with great sadness that she is now moving to a care home.
Once again I thank you whole heartedly that you made it possible for Mum to go home. Look after her with such care and precision. I most certainly recommend Bright Care as a wonderful at home care service.
And so I thank you once again.
Wishing you all the best
Fiona
We used Bright Care for a time to care for my parents. Now I’m going to give a very honest review so that others can think very carefully before making a mistake.
Bright Care are extortionately expensive and the service you receive in turn does not match the cost.
They can’t find decent carers for a start and we had more than one occasion where there was a gap, we also had numerous temporary carers who were awful, there was no continuity and the office staff became over bearing and bossy, and quite frankly they over stepped the mark. We had no choice and had to leave.
So please, look around before you decide to choose care for your loved ones.

We needed to us Bright Care Glasgow after my 91 year old Dad had come out of hospital. He needed assistance with his personal care and my Mum definitely needed the support of Bright Care as the rest of the family live in England. From the beginning all the staff were very professional and compassionate- both the administration staff and the careers who visited. The communication was excellent and the visit notes were really useful to see how Mum and Dad were coping.we appreciated the length of the visits which allowed time to do everything at my Dad’s pace and importantly to spend time sitting and talking to them both and providing essential emotional support. They were also very flexible and accompanied my Mum to visit Dad in hospital and supported her when he had to go into care. The whole Bright Care team were a huge support during a very stressful and difficult time for our family.

Bright Care have been an immeasurable help with our elderly parents - within a matter of weeks of our contacting them, they had provisioned a team of three carers in a rota to come in 5 mornings each week and support their needs. The staff team are experienced, understanding and empathetic, very professional, capable and lovely to deal with - this refelects well on the management team at Bright Care too, they seem to go to great lengths to look after their staff and clients alike, a real challenge in today's care sector for sure.

I contacted Brightcare regarding care for my father sometime ago. They have provided excellent carers and have been very easy and responsive to deal with. There have been a few administrative issues at the beginning however the care was always provided on time and the carers are all lovely and very competent.

I have worked as a live in carer for Bright Care (Perth) for 18 months. The office staff are always very helpful. I have met many new and interesting people through the clients I have been lucky enough to care for. I would recommend working for Bright Care.

I started with Bright Care in March 2022 as a bright carer. The recruitment process is very thorough and I was lucky to be one of the successful candidates.
I absolutely love how Bright Care works, I was matched with clients and not overwhelmed with to much in one go at all. Training of 4 full on days at the head office and given by the bright Care training academy. so you are fully aware of everything before your first visit to the client. With Bright Care you are not a number you are appreciated in every way.

Edit: Response to your comment:
Your "robust" recruitment is just a lousy excuse for an illogical, complicated, and inefficient process.

I really thought Bright Care was a fantastic company, and it is. On paper. In practice, it is a huge disappointment.
After applying for a job (live-in carer), I started their recruitment process, which consisted of several interviews - a chat and a formal interview. Then the so-called Branch day and shadowing, etc. The procedure itself is fantastic because they want to be sure they will choose the right candidate for the job. But it is entirely illogical and impractical for a candidate to travel 230 miles (8 hours by bus, at least 6 hours by car, etc.) to come to a formal interview that lasts about 1 hour, then come back home, and then travel to the branch again on "Branch Day", then travel to the training which is in Scotland, and then travel to another side of the country again for shadowing. I would spend around £500 just for the formal interview.
In the digital era, to lose potentially good carers "just because". No reason whatsoever - the only answer was "we have our reasons", which is ridiculous. THEY REFUSED ME when I explained it would be practically impossible to travel so far exclusively for the formal interview and after I proposed a virtual meeting. That was the end of my journey with Bright Care.
There is an exquisite and intelligent solution - connect the formal interview with branch day together, maybe even shadowing can be the same part of the process. Or, do the formal interviews online, then branch day + shadowing together, etc. There are so many practical possibilities to make the recruitment process more accessible, simpler and more efficient. I simply can't believe the company that promotes itself for its great culture, teamwork, and support, can't do better—such a shame.

Sadly, I leave all the friendship with clients and Bright Care staff, to say the least!
