Dalia, I'm not sure what you mean about the remote control; however, in respect of the TV, I can see you have ordered a new TV. A new TV could also mean it has been on display in a store. If this is the case, it will not have a protective film on the screen, but it has not been pre-owned. I am sorry if you were not made aware of this at the point of sale.

Two failed deliveries then wrong product.

I was given two delivery dates in which I waited in and no show first one was accidently cancelled even though Burnley branch couldn't tell me why. Secondly cause they dropped the TV but never told the branch on the third attempt I was delivered a different product which was not a smart TV as ordered but I am still paying the same price for a smart TV. Burnley branch manager was very apologetic and told me a smart TV was the same price as the HDTV I have. Not according to website!!! I have no faith in this company.

I've been using brighthouse for about…

I've been using brighthouse for about 17 years and basildon for about 11 of those years and there has been a few times I've wanted to walked out but today a lady called Joe served me and she was polite hard working and even though the computer tested her patience by freezing and not showing her items saved she kept on going and showed her determination to carry out her job in a professional.mannor .having to see what she went through with the computer today she deserves a bonus she is an asset to brighthouse and I hope they appreciate her as me and my family do if given half the chance I can see her being manager material . If it was not for her my husband who is ill with cancer would not have a fancy new bed to relax in . Billy is a polite and hard worker too .

If you like to buy something from Bright House , don`t go trough Finance , there is a lot of lack of experience between the employees , they can`t help you with nothing , so if you manage to do everything alone then is good , if not , say goodbye , they don`t know what they are doing over there . i am waiting from 1 week to sort out a small issue with my account and its seems nobody know whats going on .
I speak with them trough live chat twice and email them with a print screen of the error and i`ve been passed to live chat support :)))

Can you leave no stars

Can you leave no stars? AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. Arranged a delivery date 2 weeks in advance because it's very hard to get time off work. Even called the store up a couple of times to make sure it would definitely go ahead on this date. And when it arrived, the main item was missing. Called the store (on hold for 20 minutes) only to be told they can't get it to me today. When I asked for a refund, they just didn't seem bothered at all and they told me it can take up to 5 working days (even though my payment in advance to you went through straight away). I wish I had read these reviews first so please trust me... AVOID THIS COMPANY!

Easy to pay weekly and item came (washing machine) within 7 days which was handy as last one broke.

Annoying that you have to add there insurance on to it at extra cost and the apr is high, but it’s convenient so it is what it is really,

Mike, thanks for the feedback. We offer two insurances, BrightCare, which is an optional service warranty and Product Insurance Cover (PIC). The latter of these two is a necessity if you do not have any house insurance in place.

Appreciate the APR may be higher than lots of other credit retailers; however, please be assured that following a review of our interest rates in September 2019, we did reduce many of the rates on our products to help them be more affordable to customers. I hope you were able to take advantage of a lower rate.

Another victim of brighthouse

Brighthouse are Con-artists!!!!!!!!!!!Pls read or ignore at own risk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I Have been a customer with this company for three years, always made payments on time, took out brightcare (no choice) was assured of quick repairs! however when my product needed repair! Brighthouse were not able to repair product or offer a replacement! After months of chasing up company for a resolution was told I could return the product. This meant I would lose any money I had paid on product which was £1,190! Plus anything I had paid for brightcare! Basically this company takes advantage of Low income households by selling them over priced furniture, then when they have made their money on a product (customer paid a considerable amount) they breach their contract, and customer loses out! Brightcare is a scam! Brighthouse are con-artists! I wish someone had warned me! Pls opt for companies like fair4you or Argos but never ever have anything to do with scammers like brighthouse!

This company are below a loan shark if you miss a payment the driver who delivers bangs at your door not once but every day demands payment if you havnt got it they add interest if your desperate stay away this company thrives on people on benefits low income they ask for referees i gave them my families numbers and empty properties they didnt live at they didnt check i knew they would harrass them but they cant cous the properties are empty good ridance brighthouse

You are right, if you miss a payment, we will contact you and even visit you at your home in an attempt to obtain the payment. The payment is due to us as you have had items from us and you entered into a legally binding contract, which by not paying, you are breaching. You also agreed to this method of contact by entering into a contract with us. We most certainly do not add on additional interest as you have suggested; however, yes, we do apply a late payment fee, which is currently £12.00. There are many ways to avoid this, the primary one is to contact us before your payment becomes late and arrange to put a commitment to pay on your account. If the commitment is broken, the fee will still be charged.

As responsible lenders, yes, we do lend to those on low incomes, but we undertake a full income and expenditure check before hand based on evidence we ask you to supply.

The processes and procedures you have referenced in your review are very old. We have not asked for details about referees for many years, this was to conform with us falling under the jurisdiction of the Financial conduct Authority in 2014.

If you have a problem with the way we are conducting the home visits to you, which are not at the frequency you suggest, please contact Customer Relations and we can address the matter in full. Great Service Poor Quality Products

The whole order process, customer service and staff at Brighthouse have been fantastic and I can’t fault them there. However the Sofa quality is shocking. I’ve had my sofa for less than 9 months and already the springs have started to go. They offer no support and I feel like I practically sink to the floor when I sit down. It’s like sitting on to sofa that is at least 10 years old and has been used as a bouncy castle by a hoard of young children. I have no children and 2 small chihuahuas who weigh nothing. The sofa has light use so there is no reason that this should have happened. I suspected after the sofa was delivered that there would be issues with the quality and wear of the sofa over time and I was right. I’m very disappointed because by the time I have finished paying for the sofa, it’ll have cost me at least 3 times the amount I would have paid, if I had been able to afford to buy a sofa out right from somewhere like Next, where undoubtably the quality would have been a thousand times better. Great service for people who can’t afford to buy outright or who are unable to get credit, however very poor quality products that cost 3 times the amount of superior quality products.
