Treatment has left me with permanent scarring!

I have been left with a permanent scar which has ruined my self confidence. A simply thread vein sclerotherapy procedure has left me with a permanent scar and pigmentation discolouration and several more thread veins as a result of the trauma. The area of treatment became ulcerated and all the Doctor could say was “oh bless, oh bless”! It took 6 weeks of steroids and antibiotics to bring the injury under control.Shocking treatment; a hurried process as they were trying to deal with a que of irate NHS patients. During the treatment my leg became swollen and bled which in my view was when the process should have ceased.
The sclerotherapy process in my opinion was incorrectly executed. I attended the clinic for a year while they tried unsuccessfully to rectify the issues they caused me. They discharged me in September 2022 and I am more than stressed by what has happened. The area of the scar is very uncomfortable.

Friendly, expert and good value

I had several moles I wanted removed, and I wanted a qualified doctor to remove them rather than a beauty clinic. I looked up mole removal clinics in London, and couldn't afford the prices. Then I came across the Brighton Laser & Skin Clinic, which has a really informative website. I made an appointment and booked a train ticket.

Dr Fiona Emerson is a specialist dermatology doctor who also works for the NHS, so she has a lot of experience in removing moles and inspires confidence. She explained the procedure clearly then removed three moles, one cyst and a seborrhoeic keratosis painlessly. The cost was very reasonable.

The clinic is on the promenade, a twenty minute walk from the railway station. After the procedure I had a paddle and a picnic by the sea and was back in London in time for tea. I was very happy with my experience and would recommend this clinic.
