AWFUL EXPERIENCE. DO NOT USE
I would never trust BrightStar Care to provide quality care for ANYONE! Please do yourself or your family member a favor and choose another home health care agency. This is by far one of the worst home health care services I’ve ever encountered.
This organization is unprofessional and incompetent. I contacted BrighterStar Care because I had a medical procedure scheduled in Louisville , and I was required by my physician to secure home health care for the first 1-2 days after surgery.
First of all , scheduling this care with BrightStar was a logistical nightmare. What should have been a simplistic task inexplicably took two days due to incompetence on the part of the BrightStar Care staff. They honestly should change their name to DarkStar. I received multiple calls from them asking me to resend paperwork which had already been sent numerous times. I’m still unsure why the scheduling process was so complicated, but staff incompetence appeared to be a primary reason.
Secondly, on the day of my scheduled care appointment, I unfortunately experienced a multitude of problems. First of all, my scheduled caregiver was a no show! After twenty frustrating minutes, I contacted. BrightStar, and, to their credit, they did apologize and sent over a replacement caregiver. This replacement caregiver was supposed to stay with me for 8 hours and help with my. post surgery recovery. Imagine my surprise when I fell asleep for an hour only to wake up and find my caregiver gone .. along with my pain medication. Adding to this nightmare, she also left the front door of my apartment unlocked.. leaving me unknowingly vulnerable, exposed, and in danger.An immediate call to BrightStar Care did nothing to remedy the situation. Their reaction can best be described as indifference, unfortunately.
I’m writing this review to help other people who might make the mistake of hiring this horrible business, Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS.
