Shocking
As soon as you hand over that deposit money the smiles and quick responses disappear and you are met with really rude, argumentative staff - it gets even worse when you inform them you do not wish to renew your tenancy.
Brinkley's broke multiple contractual obligations - I have raised a grievance through the appropriate regulator. They let an uncleaned flat and then changed the third party move in report themselves in their favour - something I have complained about but had no response too (this has become the norm).
When I did raise an issue about conducting viewings outside of the viewing period and without notification (they were ignored at first), I got a phone call threatening to give us bad references for future rentals if we did not drop the issue - rather than just looking into what happened.
I am only writing this review now as I have moved out and they no longer have leverage to use against me to get what they want.
Like some of the reviews below I am also in shock at the way Brinkley's treat their tenants - I have never had a problem with a landlord or agency, always paid rent on time and been a good tenant. Not sure whats wrong with these people but its quite a toxic business - Avoid at all costs (I know you don't always have the option - if not then just beware)

I have used Brinkleys for a few years to manage property and have always found them to be professional, quick to respond to any queries and also quick to flag any issues with suggestions of how to resolve them. They have offered rational advise when dealing with unexpected situations and have been easy to deal with. Gisella and Ann are quick to respond to any questions and JP is quick to get viewings lined up, which is what you need when letting property.

Disgusting agent, avoid, avoid, avoid!
The worst agent for the renter! Avoid them, any other estate agent is better. Once you have signed & in the property they do absolutely nothing. My old & vulnerable mum rented from them for 6 years, when she moved in it wasn’t freshly decorated, there was extreme damp walls that were not insulated & poor ventilation, they fixed the outside after the first 3 years but didn’t continue to fix the inside. There was condensation literally running down the walls every time she cooked despite having an extractor above the hob & opening all windows. My poor mum had to throw away her furniture including 3 new TVs & clothing many times as ruined by damp. She spent a fortune on dehumidifiers to try & ease the problem. To date the kitchen wall is soaking wet. This is not her fault whatsoever & She requested redecoration many times that fell on deaf ears. Each time upon inspection every 6 months she was told we ask the landlord & get back to you, they never did. She never knew if it was Brinkleys or the landlord that didn’t do anything. The last 3 years she was left anxious & depressed, ended up having a stroke. Now they trying to pass on redecorating costs on her saying it’s smoke damage. After a 6 year tenancy you would think they would redecorate anyway before new new Tenants arrive especially as the property suffers dampness. People had left rubbish & fly tipped in the carpark & they also want to charge mum for that! The carpark isn’t her responsibility. They didn’t fix the gate to the garden area after they fixed the outside which allowed every Tom, dick or Harry to go steel things & use as a toilet. Marco was very rude, condescending & intimidating to my sister upon handing over the keys, as she isn’t the tenant he had no right talking to her in that manner. Totally unprofessional & uncaring. I am disgusted with this agent & the landlords for allowing this to happen to an old vulnerable person. The battle will continue as is not finalised. Just avoid them, just a bunch of money grabbing, lying scum of the earth types. So many other agents out there you would be better off choosing. I will be updating trust pilot with the final details so other landlords & prospective tenants are aware. Very poor & if I could have given a minus 10 stars I would have done. So angry! See below response shows further untruths/incorrect facts & refuse to delete my review, I am free to review any company that i want. For your information I have had dealings with your agency from the beginning as was myself that paid for my mums deposit & was her guarantour at the time. I have emails to prove it. Secondly I have remained in close contact with my mum forever & visit regularly from Egypt. I have also been there a few times when inspections were made & witnessed my mum requesting decoration. If trust pilot deletes this review I will take it further! Also I don’t have a daughter so you have your information wrong, before publicly trying to shame me! This is a review for business & personal issues should not be displayed grrrrrr!!!
