Nostalgia at its best
I've been here a long time, since before there was a TV app etc. However, often the phone app (Android) doesn't load the series properly, and have to go back and forth. The content on there is great, especially for a lover of old TV series. Plenty of quality TV programming from, dare I say it, the golden age of TV, of comedy, of drama, of police shows, to name just a few. Sometimes I'm disappointed that something isn't on there. But finding such gems as the early series of Rentaghost. Oh how times have changed. It'd be nice if they could wangle more of the old ITV regions programming.

Very Poor App
Very poor App. Either you simply cannot get in, or it asks you for your password rather than just open the App. Really awful. I'm sat here typing this watching the Britbix App failing to open on my TV. Instead of BB try a steaming service who's App actually works, Netflix, Prime, ITVX etc etc. BRITBIX = AVOID.
Sick to death of getting login requests…
Sick to death of getting login requests when I pay annually. To make matters worse, the britbox/code page is impossible to find, does not show on Google search. How am I supposed to enter the TV code. Due for renewal soon, seriously considering jettisoning altogether.
Taking customers to the cleaners
This company is a scam designed to take advantage of customers. My subscription cancelled in Nov 2022 but Britbox continued to take the monthly subscription. Trying to contact their customer services to cancel was a nightmare. Eventually (September 2023) I have managed to speak to someone and got the subscription cancelled and a PARTIAL
refund for the 9 wasted months, leaving me £30 out of pocket. ITV / Britbox certainly know how to stitch up their customers - and it's all the customer's fault! AVOID!!!

Can't stream from your servers, there's always a problem. Despite all other streaming services working perfectly. This isn't the first time... it's a repeating problem.
I've had Britbox for several years but unable cancel it
I've had Britbox for several years but decided to update to ITVX. I did that but when I went to cancel my Britbox I found it was impossible. I was offered some 'advice'via a separate app which would cost £54 a month. Britbox say they can't help as I used a kindle tablet to buy it. No help from amazon. I'm in despair and don't know what to do next. I loved Britbox but wouldn't recommend it now. Don't touch it.

I signed up on the 10th june 7 day free trial, and then I was charged $8.99 on 17th June 2023. I then requested to go annually for my subscription, and my credit card account was deducted $89.99 on the 26th June 2023.
Looking at my statement online, another $8.99 is awaiting authorisation...
I called my bank, who said to contact the company, I can only email you.
So what I am requesting.
Refund of 2 x $8.99
NO DUTURE MONTHLY FEES TO BR TAKEN OUT OF MY ACCOUNT INCLUDING TODAYS AMOUNT.

Our favourite streaming service
I'm surprised to read the negative comments about the streaming reliability. I have never had an issue with it on Roku. The content is just amazing, celebrating decades of quality drama and comedy with series that last for longer than a few episodes. My only gripe is often the next episode starts before the previous one has ended and there is no way to stop this (despite customer service advice). I understand we are to be moved to ITV X soon so fingers crossed the range of programmes doesn't change

Not even worth 1 star. All you get is buffering and no loading. Total waste of time and money. Shame. Britbox, sort your house out !!
Not user friendly at all-New Update
I'm giving BB 2 stars because some of the detective shows are exciting and binge-worthy with good actors/actresses; however, after reading some of the reviews, I agree that BB needs to step their technology WAY UP as it has been a round-about roller coaster of, will BB work today? I contacted BB via email when I was not able to connect, and they responded within 10 minutes to explain they were having technical difficulties, which I appreciated. One day the closed captions work for me and not the next. Manipulating between the phone and the TV remotes has been a nightmare. I'm hanging in there for a while, but don't think I can take much more for long. Hope they can upgrade their systems shortly.
The following is an update of BritBox October -December 2023. BB now allows me to log on and stream seamlessly on my mobile, desktop, or TV screen. I'm anxiously waiting for new episodes of many of the detective mysteries I binged on :-)

A Great Steaming Pile of Horse S**t
Dreadful experience. Almost every time I try to access Britbox via Amazon Firestick it fails. Sometimes asks if I want to sign in, only to be asked next whether I want to sign out. It's like the Hokey Cokey doesn't know whether its in or out.
Other times it tells me I have no Internet connection when everything else works on the same fire stick.
All in all, apart from the content (when you can find it), BritBox is a steaming pile of horse s**t.
You can't get phone help from Britbox…
You can't get phone help from Britbox anymore. You have to send an email form and then they tell you they will get back to you in 24 hours which is not much use at all when the system repeatedly fails to work. Very poor customer service and getting worse.
Difficult to use
Great and enjoyable wide rang of programmes most suited to slightly older viewers. Shame it's such a ball ache to get into with the need for a password every 2 or 3 viewing switch on's. Even the password gets rejected on the TV so it's out with the tablet! Remember the days when you could sit down, turn the tele on and start watching.

I have to say after6 months of this company trying totake money from my card, it has suddenly started again yet I have no subscription! I have contacted my bank who have again reimbursed me, and there is now an order in place if they continue to try and do this they will be charged a very high amount from my bank. They suddenly after 6 months took money, yet when I went back to them AGAIN they had the audacity to say I must have another account with them!!! Very dodgy, so i have this plan in place with my bank in place. I even cancelled my direct debit and now have a new card in place because of these people. Their customer service is terrible and they always try to find excuses and never apologise. My advice is NOT to use Britbox, I have calulated over the months ( even though I have been reimbursed by my bank) they have fraudently taken £79 saying I have an active account which I don't and I even emailed them proof that it was cancelled last year!!! A terrible company
Britbox missing episodes (and proud of it)
Message Britbox about the BBC/HBO series 'Rome' that was missing the last two episodes of season 1. This is their response:-
"Rome is a great historical drama and it's good to have it on our service. Due to licencing restriction we are unable to offer the last two episodes of series. I do understand this may disrupt the pattern of the storyline for you."
