Fantastic service from start to finish. Lorraine in reception was very accommodating and Len is a top instructor and all round great bloke - knowledgeable and makes you feel confident behind the wheel. Can’t thank you all enough!

I had a fantastic experience with British HGV for my HGV training. The instructors were professional, patient, and really knew how to build my confidence behind the wheel. The course was well-structured, with clear guidance at every stage, from theory to practical. Communication was excellent, and they made the whole process stress-free. I passed first time thanks to their support — highly recommend to anyone looking to get their HGV licence!

I have had the pleasure of passing my practical first time with this company.
I was extremely happy and grateful of the help of my instructor named Len, who was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, kind and reassuring! Without his help I would have not passed first time and I felt honoured to of had him on the journeys with me.

I would also like to mention that the staff are really polite and professional especially the lady at reception named Lorraine, she was onboard with me on the journey of my practical and always made sure I had everything I needed! Not to forget to mention she was also a delight to get on with and never failed to make me laugh!

I had an absolutely fantastic experience with British HGV Driving School, and I cannot recommend them highly enough – especially Carl and Lorraine, who were both incredible throughout the entire process.

From day one, Lorraine was friendly, knowledgeable, and always on hand to answer questions or guide me through the paperwork and booking process. She made everything feel smooth and stress-free, which is a massive help when you’re taking such a big step in your career.

As for Carl – what a brilliant instructor. His teaching style is clear, patient, and confidence-boosting. He knows how to explain things in a way that makes sense, even when you're feeling nervous or overwhelmed. Carl genuinely cares about his students’ success and takes the time to make sure you’re fully prepared before test day. Thanks to his expert guidance, I passed first time!

Well all went well until Thursday failed my 1st attempt but we go again Chris my instructor 1st class learned me from scratch passed everything apart from my test so we will go again it's about the experience that counts and the fact u no wot to do 2nd time around Lorraine and kaz very helpful indeed but importantly got my module 4 my reversing certificate and cpc studies 2 hazard perception so to pass all of these then fall at the last hurdle I felt disappointed but back in the hot seat again look forward to re attempting my test again

Just be careful! They will always say "you are not ready" to squeeze your money. They just simply don't teach you anything and ask you to drive, then those coaches will make you look stupid by shouting at you, keep criticising you while you are driving. Let you believe that you are not ready, then pay more to learn. Sometimes they play good guy bad guy game, if you are not mature enough, you will fall in their trap. If your budget is limited, avoid this company.

Recently took and passed my test with British Hgv. I cannot recommend this company more highly. Carl was my instructor and from the second I walked in he put me at ease. He has a brilliant training style, he took time to show and explain every aspect, showed patience when required and is truly an inspiration to the company.

I was recommended to British HGV and was confident from the first contact with Lorraine that things would be good.
I took my bus training with Len. He was easy to understand and clearly very experienced. Enjoyed every bit of my week despite a first day hiccup when the training vehicle suffered a mechanical failure before I’d even started 😃. Not a problem, such things happen. So for me, an extra bit of time on Tuesday Wednesday & Thursday and passed Friday morning as scheduled.
I also did my CPC 4 during the week with them.
All good and very enjoyable.

Today i pass the pcv driving test, The British HGV is the best training school. My instructor Len is perfect teacher, he learn me many bus driving experience，many thanks to him. I very happy in this training school.

Highly recommend British HGV. My trainer carl he was spot on I tend to doubt myself iv been a class 2 driver for nearly 6 years and finally decided to do my class 1 I passed 1st time with zero minors! If it wasn't for Carl's patience and guidance I wouldn't of stud a chance absolutely Brilliant couldn't be happier!! Thanks guys

I cannot recommend British HGV Training enough for anyone looking to obtain their HGV license.

After a challenging experience with a previous training company that unfortunately went into administration, I reached out to British HGV Training and explained my situation. From the very beginning, they were more than happy to accommodate me, and I truly wish I had chosen them from the start.

From start to finish, my experience with British HGV Training has been absolutely fantastic. Today, I passed my car to artic test on the first attempt! I want to specifically thank Lorraine for her guidance throughout the process; she was extremely helpful in outlining the next steps I needed to take.

Paul who conducted my driving assessment brilliantly, and Wayne, my driving instructor, was an absolute legend. His extensive experience and knowledge about the roads and HGVs is unparalleled. He made the learning process enjoyable and ensured I felt at ease during our lessons. I’m truly going to miss driving with you Wayne.

From Lorraine helping to organise the initial paperwork and supporting all the way through, to the team of excellent instructors, they all made my week training towards & gaining my class 2 licence a very fun & informative experience.
Special shout out to my instructor Carl. A wealth of knowledge with a friendly approach. He was always happy to answer any questions and correct any mistakes I made, he knew exactly what was needed. Top bloke.

Best driver training I have received by far. Started off with an agency with another local school that didn't have the standards for the training to get me through my tests.

I decided to join BRITISH HGV and it was the best step for me to take to kickstart my new career. I only wished I was with them from the start.

All the instructors and staff are here to help you every step of the way and will teach you the methods to successfully pass your tests.

Passed successfully using the techniques and methods my instructor taught me. You’ve just got to listen and act on what you’ve been taught.

It was a pleasure training with this school and I would recommend anyone looking to start their career in HGV/ PCV to go through this school.

I can't thank this company enough for supporting me in my HGV training, from only really driving a car to passing my test for HGV C+E on my second attempt they were amazing. My instructor and all the other other staff could not have been any more supportive if they tried.
