My partner and I worked with Richard on our first home. We went into the process totally clueless and had no idea what we were meant to be doing.

We first thought about buying a property 12 months ago, which is when we contacted Richard. We had a few issues with our credit reports which Richard advised on how to clear up, he then secured us a great mortgage with rates we didn't expect to get. We had a 7 month journey from the day we put the offer in on our property to actually receiving the keys, with lots of hiccups along the way. Richard didn't just arrange our mortgage, he helped nudging solicitors and estate agents in the right direction, he was there to answer all our questions via email or phone and responded very quickly. He also arranged our life insurances and income protection insurance which was also a big help as we had no idea where to start with things like that. Richard was very helpful at every step of buying our property. We had a few hurdles along the way, such as finding problems on our credit report and a couple of down valuations. He always found a solution and was reassuring when we thought we wouldn’t complete.

After talking to a few mortgage brokers, it became clear that there’s a few cowboys in this industry who will probably charge you a fee for their services, and choose a mortgage that’s good for them, not you. Richard is the opposite as he doesn’t charge a fee and will always check for the best deals.
