After "Too many requests" last week and…
After "Too many requests" last week and now this morning I cannot access it again with "BT mail isn't working right now" one has to wonder what the hell is going on. Have had BT for over 15 years now with hardly any issues, they change the format, and now it's a lottery as to whether I will be able to access my e-mails.
BT email down now says "too many…
BT email down now says "too many attempts" this is after weeks of changes to layout etc. A complete waste of my time, what happened to the word "service" for which payment is being made. Can we all expect refunds for the inconvenience, I suggest at least 50.00 for every customer, together with an apology that acknowledges BT accountability.
Takes up to 10 attempts on reCAPTCHA to…
Takes up to 10 attempts on reCAPTCHA to gain access to email account.....far to slow particularity if you need to login into multiple email addresses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Rubbish New Email from BT
Whoever built this new email for BT should be sacked. It is the most appalling system I have ever used. It is so difficult to download and get images BUT so easy to delete emails by mistake. When writing emails the curser jumps all over the place and the text size changes. It is so frustrating. We should all abandon BT.
It's much more difficult to use than the old format.
1. The cursor moves back to the start of the email while I am typing.;
2. the font size changes while I am typing.
3, I cannot attach a file. 'Drag and drop' doesn't work.
4. the coloured boxes are meaningless and unhelpful/
Yes awful
Yes, the updated email system is awful.
Is there anything one can do about it though?
Currently, just about unuseable
I have repeatedly informed BT that…
I have repeatedly informed BT that "another person" is using my BT email account. They have done nothing about this to my knowledge, as the hacker is still using my bt account.
Awful update
BT appears to have "updated" their email system. It is rubbish. Can now only delete 14 emails at a time. Also, in spam, can only block an email address one at a time. Awful.
Awful product
Awful product. Slow, it "hangs", silly colours and worst of all it does unexpected and unwanted things, why change something that was working perfectly well?
Utter incompetence.
How can a company like BT with all of the resources at its disposal make such a peanuts of an e.mail service.
This is so called e.mail "upgrade" is the worst mess I've encountered ( there have been many) with more bugs than an Insectarium.
The incompetence is staggering and has virtually made my e.mail service unuseable with more issues than I can list.
Time to vote with the feet !
An absolute shambles of an upgraded email service
As others have pointed out, the new email system is an absolute shambles. Can't compose a message because the cursor moves to the top of your email when typing leading to a garbled composition.
The colours with initials on each email is an absolute distraction and the way it shifts to the next email is not required. I'd rather chose the emails I want to see next BT.
Worse than all of this however is the "failed to login due to too many attempts" message which proceeds to lock me out for 15 minutes. A total PITA when you are waiting to reply to people in a professional setting.
I'm beginning to wonder if they didn't bork it all on purpose to encourage users away from an unprofitable service. It's an absolute shambles.
The new email upgrade is a disappointing shambles.
The new email upgrade is a disappointing shambles.Silly coloured, childish boxes, highlighting first initials of sender, no use at all. Far better as it was.
Annoying, trying to read emails with words chopped stupidly to next line. Didn't happen before upgrade.
After reading an email and sending it to a folder, the next email is automatically opened instead of returning to inbox as before.
After sending an email directly to a folder it automatically ticks the next one to send. That's my decision to make! I had to find a few lost emails before I realised this was happening.
Can't access scroll down arrow, have to jump down then arrow scroll up to check not missed any.
For some unknown reason it's started to put regular emails in spam????
I agree with previous reviewers, sending emails is equally annoying for all the system errors detailed.
For goodness sake BT sort this out!!!
Worlds Slowest Connection (WiFi)…..IN THE WORLD
BT WiFi are the slowest connection out there. We have a connection box literally right outside of my house but I am connected to the one 3 miles away..!
Iried BT because I live in a small village and struggle to get connection.
I had an email from BT saying:
“We are upgrading your WiFi to Full Fibre.”
I was like great fast wifi!
(My speeds before the upgrade:
Download: 10-12
Upload: 0.95)
My speeds after the “upgrade”:
Download: 8-9
Upload: Usually 0.95
If I am lucky: 1
WiFi measured in Mbps.
Had a WiFi outage so I did not have any WiFi. Got told they this will be fixed by tomorrow.
6 days later: Just starting to fix it…
BT email is the slowest website out there. Which must be fast with my “Full Fibre” WiFi.
I would expect much better, BT.
Total garbage
God only knows why BT has done this. I pay for a premium email service and this change beggars belief. I cannot now reliably use my email whereas it was OK before the change. I get numerous and spurious problems cropping up all the time...sometimes just one-offs that don't happen again. Seems like BT gave this "upgrade" to a bunch of 13 year old work experience kids who had zilch technical knowledge. YES IT IS THAT BAD. BT needs to get back to the old days when they were reliable and professional.
Appalling
Appalling. Totally frustrated with the tiny layout. It was fine before and it's beyond me why BT have made it so user unfriendly.
New BT email system is very poor
New BT email system is very poor.
Font and line-spacing change as you compose a message. This is not evident until you view the email in a reply.
Old email worked well. Why downgrade it?
The new email system is crap
The new email system is crap takes me ages to delete an email if i dont wont to read go back to the old way so much better
Email now useless
Why change the email system to make it absolutely useless.
Heard about Social Tarriff and called…
Heard about Social Tarriff and called BT to set up new details. James Warrick was amazing. He answered my call immediately and is obviously experienced in his dealing with customers who need patient and friendly assistance. His lovely Welsh lilt just added to a very pleasant experience. He very expertly set up the required steps needed and he is a real credit and asset to BTs service. Definitely full marks in every aspect. BT are to be congratulated in their choice of James as it was obvious his training has not been wasted. Exemplary is the only word that adequately describes his dealing with my problem. Very well done.
Another BT so called update to emails
Another so called update! I can't even write an email with out it jumping all over the place. Why do BT do this!? The old layout was better. Trying to write an email in drafts is a nightmare. How can such a huge profitable company offer this as a service?
