Beginning to end took 24 hours. It was speedy process. Lewis was professional and talk us to each step. Only thing I didn't know was they do soft search on guarantor as well as the main applicant and they also do income and expenditure for the guarantor as well. Other than that lewis was very helpful.

Was asked to provide more information on my review which I submitted and then got no reply.
Contacted Buddy complaints as I’d cancelled direct debit and asked for account to be put on hold until a final decision made on case ,told a 30 day hold would be requested and when I asked them to confirm that guarantor would not be required to pay during the hold I was told it was a communications hold not a account hold as requested and guarantor would still have to pay.
Based on original upheld decision on complaint by investigator its means I’m over paying the principal borrowed so thought they would be willing to hold account as if ombudsman agrees then I’ve been paying for the last 7 months when I didn’t need to,at a time the money would of really helped me.Ignore the health and stress I mention in emails and then when I say if they plan to take money from guarantor then I’ll just set payment up again until case resolved I get no reply when I ask for details to do so.
The ombudsman is upholding over 88% of guarantor loan cases according to latest figures.

Rude and unprofessional company
I applied for a loan from this company. My application was confirmed first and they asked for a guarantor. I submitted a guarantor, and he got approved, too. Then they asked for my bank statements. I sent them these as well, and they confirmed the receipt. Then they asked for the bank statements for my other account. While I was in process of uploading the second group of statements, I had a technical difficulty, and just decided to give them a call to get some help. The lady on the phone asked me why I entered "other" as the reason for a loan, which has nothing to do with my technical difficulty at this point. And guys please remember that I am the one who decided to give them a quick ring in the first place, thinking everything else is fine. I have explained the lady that the loan is to cover a temporary debt and bills, literally a combination of everything. And at this point I was already confused, as she was bluntly interrogating me instead of helping me with my statement upload. This approach is completely unacceptable, rude and unprofessional because if this company is so obsessed with my reason for a loan, why didn't they refuse me straight away, when I first applied? I found a guarantor, he got approved, they asked for statements, and when I called them about a technical problem, the woman on phone decided to tell me that the reasons I was presenting were not convincing and she told me that my application has been refused. Everybody who applies for a loan from this company should be prepared to get refused like a week later, after everything seems OK and they get every detail from you. Be prepared to give a full report of what you're going to spend your money on, or else you will be shut down by them.
I am really upset
I am really upset, I have been with buddy 15 months, paid every single payment on time, I am a single mum on benefits and its my daughters first proper christmas and due to the social and lockdown I requested a small top up, the lady I spoke to advised me to apply for more to pay the same as I am doing now each month only to be declined 4 days later by the 'underwriting team' without an explanation. Now what am I gonna do?? Thanks buddy.
The lack of communication between them…
The lack of communication between them is ridiculous was in discussion to try to sort out a payment holiday while unable to work and explained that i was trying to live on universal credit... They took the payment anyway leaving me without food.September my payment was taken twice on the same day and wasnt returned for 3 days. They will hound and hound if your payment is late but you wont hear from them at all if you have any problems.Once theyve got the payment you dont exist.

I recently used Buddy Loans to consolidate my finances into one. I was originally very sceptical and nervous about having to go though the whole process until I spoke to there lovely staff. I dealt with two ladies called Jess and Jasmin. Jess was my first point of contact and she was brilliant!! she gave me all the correct advise and came across very knowledgeable. she was very calm and jolly on the phone and helped me understand everything I needed to. Thankyou Jess! After my application went to the under writers I then dealt with Jasmin who was also fantastic!! Kept me constantly up to date with how things were going and was lovely to talk to. I know it's coming up to xmas and people feel the need to for these types of loans but I'd strongly advise against this company. Borderline SCAM. They approved my uncle as a guarantor and soon as they had his bank we heard nothing back...do not trust this company!

Been an existing customer for over 2 years and never missed a payment went to get a top up and was declined, wont tell me why it was declined other than computer says no 🤣🤣 no humans or trust involved as they say they base all there loans on and the guarantor means nothing as i have proved i can afford the loan as ive been paying it for 2 years my guarantor was happy to go ahead with the top up, but this god awful company dosnt stand by anything it says on the packet i do not advise using them as they obviously dont seem to appreciate the customers that pay on time no matter what.
