I have appointed Dariusz Domalewski from BUILDOM CONSTRUCTION LTD Company number 11783168, in June 2023 to completely refurbish my house and build a summer house in my garden.

The plan was to start from the Summer House in the garden so I could live there during the works as I didn't have money to rent anything else. I have saved all my money for the refurbishment over the years and was very excited to start this.
I am a single mum to two, and I planned the summer work as I could send my kids abroad to my parents; as I work full time, I couldn't go.

I had a few quotes from other builders, but a family member recommended Darek. Darek said he had a team to finish the work before my kids returned, so of course, I went with him.

The work started at the beginning of June; he took a £5000 deposit on the house refurbishment as he said he needed to get a material ordered, so there were no delays. He also took £1500 deposit for the doors for the summer house. I agreed to all this as I thought we could trust him and didn't want any delays.

The Summer House was supposed to be completed by 21st June, but that didn't happen, the doors never arrived. He kept saying that we needed to move the work to that summer house as it's important to complete my flat now. I agreed to it as my kids needed a place when they returned.

I moved in to the ''shed'', as you couldn't call this a summer house, no windows or doors. and the works started on the flat.

Everything was going slow; he only had 1 person on site and him. I was coming late from work, but my neighbours were updating me. When it came to payments, he always came up with some story and excuse that something had to be delayed, but he needed payment to pay the " guys. I was paying him on time again because I trusted him! I have confronted him a few times, but he is an excellent manipulator!!! Now I know

He has completed the demolition, and closed up the ceilings, started with the flooring and tiling of the bathroom and on that day he asked for another payment as per schedule, and I did, however that was already more than what he had completed (stupid me, I know!) when he received a payment, I got a call from him that he needs to leave the country because of an emergency! His family then was in Poland on holiday. So I was assuming he is going to join them. I asked for proof of a flight ticket he had just bought. He never sent me that. I was at work when that happened; I started crying when I came home and went to a bathroom to see my tiled bathroom. My expensive tiles were broken and coming off the walls! The flooring guy had cut so many pieces of the flooring wrong, so much wastage that we needed more floor to finish the rest of the house, the kitchen, and 2 other rooms. He had no clue what he was doing ! The door lining width was too small, and they made holes in the walls to fit the frames in ..rubbish!!!! The gas pipe was cut off, and that was different from what was agreed. Everything was a disaster

He left me on 15th August , saying that he would manage everything from abroad. He will send money for the damaged tiles and floors. And he will pay the labour to finish the job. He didn't have labour!

I have waited 2 weeks for the money and didn't receive it. His drunk one man labour came few times and took something and left. I had to take time off from work. It was unpaid!!! I hired different traders to finish the flat. I had to borrow cash as I didn't have any left, and when you employ other traders, they charge you much more; I had to buy new tiles and material that was supposed to be on-site and already included in what I paid Darek.

I was doing some works myself to speed up and save money...Darek kept telling me he was sending the money, and he is still sending me emails that he will pay!!!! It is November, and all I have is his harassment via email and false promises.

My kids came back, and we had no electricity or gas in the house, so they couldn't live in the house with me and were starting new schools. We had to rent a place for them somewhere else. Extra money!

He sent me an email see attached. I waited for him! He has yet to arrive. Then again on another day.. Furthermore, it never came. I have no doors or money he owes me.

I went through Hell, and he is still putting me through Hell even now.
The house is still not finished as I have no more money. But we can live in now.... I have no doors that I paid for and a lot of debt!

It is a complete nightmare. I am going to court with this. Now that I have a bit more time. But I needed to put this out there to inform you of this FAKE COWBOY BUILDER!!
