My reply from them after asking for a delivery charge refund because fabricated delivery attempt by their courier DHL

"I have just looked onto this for you. I have rang our couriers dhl and they have advised they have attempted to deliver but could not gain access. Therefore they have no choice but to attempt re-delivery.

They have checked and advised the gps co-ordinates match on the vehicle but they will investigate internally to be 100% sure.

In regards to delivery fee refund unfortunately because they couldnt gain access i am unable to refund this.

I guess delivery companies never lie when they cant be asked to deliver something or forgot to load items on to their van etc. do they? no no no no they are boy scouts. If you type in their name and search other reviews with 1 star you will find many other people who has had this failed delivery attempt happen to them also.

Not a bad company to deal with, products are good and prices reasonable. My only gripe with Built.co.uk is their marketing policy. Once you let them have your email address you'll be inundated with email and text message marketing.

I tried to stop this happening by changing the marketing preferences in my profile page on their site. It makes no difference. I sent emails to their help address to try and get it sorted, but the emails and text messages continued.

At the end of the text messages I am told I can stop them by texting BUILTSTOP to their number, but my phone warns me that doing so will incur charges on my account. Why should I have to pay to stop their spam?

FANTASTIC. My first choice for building materials and more. Great prices, free next day delivery, and first rate service. Even the drivers are friendly, ambassadors for the company. I put through a fair amount of spend and the staff and managers have looked after me well.
