Poor service
Dave’s definitely full of himself with the talk and the self promotion, but his bank can’t even be bothered to respond to a request from a customer poor

Dave’s definitely full of himself with the talk and the self promotion, but his bank can’t even be bothered to respond to a request from a customer poor
I was in the UK banking industry in the 1970's and left it due to disillusionment. I've researched 'Bank on Dave' extensively, and I think, compared to traditional banks, they are well on the right track. Of course, as responsible lenders, they won't literally be able to lend to every applicant. Yes, deposits aren't guaranteed by the FMA (formerly FSA) , but if you look at the documentary and the in-branch paperwork, there is an insurance policy set up to do much the same thing. There are some very unjust reviews here. Don't be put off!
I've been looking for places to invest some of my funds, and I happened to hear the BBC's You & Yours Programme.
In this programme, Burnley Savings and Loans owner, Dave Fishwick, was interviewed about his financial institution - which is not a bank.
Putting aside the advertising spiel, potential customers should know that THEIR MONEY IS NOT PROTECTED BY THE FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPENSATION SCHEME (FSCS). That means that if Dave goes bust or folds up - YOU WILL LOSE EVERYTHING!
The fact that my money would not be protected by the FSCS was enough for me to avoid this institution. Money is tight nowadays, and I would not risk placing thousands of pounds with this company.
Applied for a start up business from these after being impressed by their ethos, contacted them for update of application. Was told that they could not help because we pose a risk and passed our details on to another company who held the same ethos. Other company contacted us and gave us the quote with extortionate interest rate which would cripple us as a small business. So much for helping small businesses
Just showing my respect for an organisation ACTUALLY helping and understanding their customers. Wished I lived in the area need a similar organisation in my area then I could possibly benefit.
Carry on the godd work👍
