Toenail clippings, long hair and dirty towels.

Honestly the worst customer service, and that coming from someone in the service industry.

Checked in on the 16th of August. Had 3 hours from checking until i had to host an event in the city. There was no keys card at the self check-in so we all had to wait around 10 minutes with no information what so ever, almost collapsing from heat stroke because they didn’t wanna turn on the air conditioning.
Got to my first (out of 3 rooms), to find toe nail clippings on the carpet, and a weird smell from the bathroom. Go down to the reception and had to pull a number to get in the queue. Waited 20 minutes to get offered that room service could just come vacuum and that then i could go in again. I politely declined and wanted a new room.

When i got to my new room, i put my stuff in and was long black hairs on the bedding (Could not be me, because i’m bald…)
Go down to the reception again, waited 25 minutes to get a “new” room again. This time i got a breakfast voucher for the luxury price of 90DKK🤣

Got to the “new” room, opened my suitcase and wanted to plug in my phone, only to discover that i’ve gotten my old room (now semi-vaccumed) back (A860) with the same toenail clippings now behind the nightstand instead. I am not queasy at all since i’ve worked 2,5 years in healthcare and seen everything. But to find a strangers toenails on my carpet is a NOGO.
Now im trying to take a shower, but this time there is no soap at all in the bathroom, so get dressed again, go down, wait 20 minutes to get some soap. Take a shower and grabbed a towel, dried myself off only to pull a long ginger hair out of my nether regions. Again, i’m bald and have black hair so…
During this entire circus i have had no excuse, no compensation (except a 90DKK voucher, that i can only use one time but since im staying 3 nights it’s basically useless). Not a single apology.

I would be real careful, i paid over 3000DKK for 3 nights for a room literally the same size as the economy room at Wake-up CPH. Never coming back if my life depends on it.

Really bad hotel

Really crap hotel. Shower head is crooked. And the power only works when the big lights are on. Had to throw away all my food, because could not turn the power on at night.they did compensate after asking more than once for compensation. Really bad hotel for this amount of money.

I stayed at the overpriced Hotel Cabinn…

I stayed at the overpriced Hotel Cabinn in Kopenhavn (Copenhagen). The staff were helpful and friendly but the computer system they are using is not user friendly. It took 20 minutes to check in due to the questionaire, and then I was told there was a further €20 fee for parking. I know from the past that Danmark is the most awkward and expensive country to get parking but I expected fee parking at the hotel which is the norm in most hotels. The next problem was the lifts that often did not work. They have an over-the-top security system that only allows you to use the lift with the room card. However, this often did not work. Not much fun walking up to the 4th floor. Breakfast not included in their expensive price.

Worst customer service I have experienced in 30 years of traveling.

Booked a reservation at Cabinn Metro in Copenhagen, when I meant to book at Cabinn City. I called them up instantly, within 90 seconds of the booking, and they said "Sorry, you canceled after 12pm" and literally hung up on me.

To respond to this, I e-mailed them, and they responded, "We do not care."

They stole $250 from me.

Cabin København

i have stayed at this hotel 02.09.2023 for one night. My room number was B 715. When I entered the room to go to sleep around 24:00 the ventilation in the room was working noisy and the room was cold. There is no mechanism to turn off or disable the ventilation system in the room, only a temperature adjustment button. I tried to sleep because I was very tired, but I couldn't sleep because of the strong air blowing constantly and the sound of the ventilation system that was making a lot of noise. I went down to the reception and reported my discomfort, in response they said that the ventilation system could not be turned off, let's give you a new room instead, this is the last room we have left, I happily accepted and this time they gave me room B516. However, as soon as I got into the room and opened the door, I heard the sound of the same ventilation system that bothered my ears. As a result, I couldn't sleep properly and I got the flu and I'm currently dealing with a runny nose and sneezing. When I was leaving the hotel, I told the reception what happened, they said I was right and apologized. I am very curious about how such rooms are opened to serve customers. I have stayed in Arhus cabin hotel before and enjoyed it, but never again in Copenhagen cabin.

Not worth the money

The staff was helpful and the hotelwas in a good location. Other than that it was over priced. The rooms where very little and wornout. The price for breakfast was too much compared to what you can get out in town. The hotel is not very baby friendly.

Aarhus

Aarhus: penthouse - Horrible and filthy... I can't believe I paid for THIS 1025 kr. Worst experience in my long life. You will simply not be able to have a shower. Besides, there is no soap. Public toilet for 5kr at the station feels like a luxury treat compared with this penthouse. No need to book a hotel, just sleep in the streets of Aarhus, with the same level of comfort you won't have to pay.

Fire alarm. Evacuated at 4 in the night.

Small room. Everything is squeezed in. But worst of all we got woken up by a fire alarm at 4 O'Clock in night and evacuated to the street for a false alarm and they refuse to take responsibility. There was no compensation at all. Incredible bad experience. Never slept so bad! The shock even ruined the next day.

Friendly cleaning staff. Rude and slow front desk.

Hotel denying bedbugs despite 50 bites in the night

Hotel denying bed bugs. I have stayed more than a hundred times at the cheap and somewhat primitive, but generally acceptable CabInn Hotels in Denmark. Not anymore. I got bitten badly during the night in CabInn City in Copenhagen, my favorite for many years. A receptionist that I have talked to for at least ten years reacted with "That is something every hotel has", and then "We'll we shall check and see if is eh that..." He didn't dare take the word bedbugs in his mouth, because he knows as well as I that if it comes out the guest will stay away. "Mail us and my supervisor will check." Still in good faith for old times sake I did so, and the next day the manager mailed back that they hadn't found anything in the room, "and apart from that you can get bed bugs anywhere, in the cinema, on the train and so forth." But I was bitten in the room during the night and nowhere else. Checking reviews you'll learn that also other cheap hotel chains now use the strategy of denial. The scary part is that then they shall not clean the rooms. Stay outa there is my advice. They will deny the facticity of my review as well. But I have witnesses, photos and the mail correspondence

Passable but Could be Better

If you want an excellent example of a space and price-efficient budget hotel, DO NOT try these. Both Premier Inn Hub and Holiday Inn Express do this style of accommodation much much better than Cabinn (in our view). We booked into the Cabinn City in Copenhagen and have found it to have a quality / ambience somewhere between that of student halls of residence and a “Big Yellow” storage warehouse. The room is over hot with no heating control, space is much less well organised than in a Premier Inn Hub and fixtures and fittings inc bedding and room safe (none) are likewise not as good as in those other hotel chains. If you’re young and on a very limited budget, consider youth hosteling instead. If you’re older and have a few more “beans”, we’d suggest spending a bit more booking elsewhere. One more thing: the hotel app doesn’t work fully ( in our experience) and rates only 2 stars in Apple’s App Store. No criticism of hotel staff who are busy and helpful and checked us in quickly.. Overall, from our experience, the hotel reaches for but doesn’t reach the standards of comparable chains elsewhere.

Lousy WIFI

Lousy WIFI, No coffeemachine, TV did not work, lousy bedcomfort, no change of bedwear until the last night, the room was hot as hell. Good breakfast buffet...though.

Cabinn Scandinavia - space efficient and good location.

Cabinn Scandinavia Copenhagen. You get what you pay for. Basic but cheap price. Small room and even smaller bathroom, where the only standing space in the bathroom is actually the shower itself, you just wrap the shower curtain around you and redirect water from the tap to the shower head. Both a cool concept and very space efficient. Amazing buffet breakfast, loved the fresh waffles you get to make yourself. Bit of a queue for them as there's only one waffle iron, but really worth it. Plenty of food choices daily and lots of tables available to sit at. Good location and, at the time, they also offer discounts at certain restaurants if you present your hotel key card when ordering. Would definitely stay there again.

Great if you just need a place to sleep.

Great value, I was on a Business trip in Denmark and used this hotel as a base for a week. If you just look for a place to rest your weary bones it is perfectly adequate. The rooms are tiny but that didn't bother me, the wifi was good which was all I needed really. Only issue is the shower, it is so small that if you use it the rest of the bathroom gets soaked including the toilet paper. Shower was hot though so as soon as you know what to do it isn't a big issue. Breakfast was great and very tasty, I did however missed scrambled eggs and sausages.

Be careful in my mind this are cheaters

I made a reservation in Copenhagen via Booking.com. Due to a long delay of my flight I cancelled the reservation in the morning. Nevertheless Cabinn charged 100% of the accommodation cost for absolute no service.
