No help when needed!
My fiscal documents are not uploaded on the App. I have telephone 5 or 6 times for help. I have been told that I must go in the bank to collect. However, I am having cancer treatment every morning at the hospital. The staff will not help! Today a member of staff pit the phone down on me!
Worst Bank in Spain
I've been a client for 7 years and I've decided to leave as they're theives.
If you don´t link your salary directly, you will be charged €15.00 every 2-3 months and €60.00 every 3 months under 'Cuota del dia' - They justify this by saying these are their terms and conditions.
I complained over the phone today asking for a refund, explaining they left me without money to buy food for the next month. Their reply was, if you don´t like it, close your account or link your salary.
As a long standing client, I feel I have been treated very poorly, and had no other option but to leave this bank for good.
Additionally, they regularly ask you under false pretences i.e. cross selling products, signing for insurarce, updating personal infomation to physically go to the bank and speak with a rep.
Not to mention their embarrising level of customer service, platform development and product maintenance for both the mobile app and desktop.
They deserve to loose clients for the above reasons.
This is a VERY BAD bank, STAY AWAY.

BEWARE!
BEWARE In general appalling lack of service and reliability. On top of this staff lie, mislead and mistreat you to make extra commissions One Example: renewing insurances without consent and in direct conflict with our requests NOT to do so, hiding / not giving specific instructions required to cancel despite numerous requests over many months! In general, Spanish bank’s service is no where near as good as British banks but the dishonesty from this (Villa Martin) branch is astonishing! We closed the account and would not recommend them to anyone!
Home insurance
Tried to cancel my home insurance I bought from them for a bit less than 1 year ago and … voila! … learned that my contract can’t be cancelled until 3 years have passed and that I only can do that by coming to their office 1 month before that time has passed.
I am living in Sweden an they know about that.
When signing the contract they never informed me about all this.
… After apparent manipulations at the local office they ‘could not do anything’ but only gave me a phone number to make a complain through their main office.
This is far from the first bad experience I have had with them during the past 10 years as a customer but this time is going to be the last one and I am going to close my bank account ASAP.
Just Appalling Customer Service
Just Appalling Customer Service. They blocked my account for no reason. I went to branch who couldn't wouldn't help. They directed me to my adviser, who didn't turn up to two appointments. I called customer service who sent a pin via text message which I never received (my phone company's fault apparently)- so they wouldn't talk to me. Meanwhile they still charge me €35 every quarter even though I'm blocked from using the account. I can't even put money in! Unbelievable
If I could rate the bank no starts or…
If I could rate the bank no starts or even - 5 Stars that's what they would get they are useless, I have been trying to cancel my house and car insurance with them for over three years now they tell me they have done it but they lie all the time , I have found out yet again they have lied and not done it taking the money out of bank, I have just booked flights so I can go over there to close bank account with them, do not trust this company they will steal your money when ever they can
Completely dissatisfied with La Caixa
I am completely dissatisfied with La Caixa, charges have gone up from 0 to 300 euros per year, customer service is not appalling, with my advisor being unhelpful and disrespectful. Every month more or less they change my advisor. Never been treated like this by any company.
I signed and made an accidental and life issuance contract in the La Caixa office. A couple of months passed and then I had an accident. I called La Caixa and then they said I don't have that insurance despite the fact that I signed and got all the papers from the office. This could have gone terribly wrong.
The Home insurance La Caixa, I paid for a service for years and never used it. When I had my first accident I waited over a year to get an answer. No, was the answer from one of the products of the insurance case but they never got back to me with the second item that was reported in the case. After trying several times, the advisor almost never responded through the La Caixa app. I got a new advisor every month more or less so I finally gave up. The service was never helpful and it was a bad experience overall.
La Caixa took 60 euros from my account without informing me. When I ask why, they say they sent a letter. I have never received a letter, email or a call. Despite the letter needs to be: (Correo Certificado and signada for el cliente). Letter need to be signed by client.
This is a typical thing with La Caixa, they have all my information and still they can not inform a customer if they change something, they just take money without saying anything. When I mention this, the advisor said I can reclaim by sending an email to international customer division.
I have sent an email and it has gone over a month now without any response.
Every time I have to order a new debit card there is an issue, first it never arrives at my address, just like the issue with the 60 euros above. I have to wait a month and argue back and forth with La Caixa to get a card. Another example: I wrote to La Caixa because I never got the card to my address, then they ordered it again but to the office. After I write to the advisor and ask, she says that my card has arrived in the office. I take a free day from work and when I arrive at the office I have to wait for one hour, then they say they dont have my card. I have to explain the same story again and they order the card again. It's so time consuming and exhausting every time.
Above are a couple of examples and there are many more. To sum it up I would say the quality of service has dramatically gone down in the last couple of years and I'm leaving very unsatisfying. I will not recommend and will never go back to La Caixa after over 10 years as a customer.
Terrible bank
They charge a monthly fee, you do get a personal banker. but their job seems to sell you other products, not to help. The app is great until you try to do anything that every other app does, then you need to book an appointment at your branch, ie change your telephone number. they sold me home insurance, which automatically renews after 3 years, I asked for their help to cancel, they said nothing they could do. I'm trapped with the insurance. So i told them to close my account, they refused to do so until i moved all the direct debits, which was easy, except for the home insurance, which i have spent 2 months trying to just move the direct debit to my new bank.
Do not go near this bank.
Caxiabank are not professional bankers
Caxiabank are not professional bankers, they ignore you, speak to you disrespectfully, I have hated being with them since they were taken over from Bankia, who were amazing.
I can't even log into my account to check my balance to see if there are enough funds for my mortgage.
They are bullies.
so many questions, its a bank!!!!!!! like the Spanish inquisition.

impossible to deal with,an absolute disaster of a bank.
Avoid dealing with or opening an account.
Us unfortunate customers have tried to warn you!!!
This bank needs to be investigated by government and the EU.
Villa Martin Branch liars and thieves
Villa Martin Branch. Staff lie and ignore customer instructions to earn commissions.
Ignored us for 5 months then responded providing incorrect information.
Today we caught them lying again. Made official complaint and closed the account after they effectively stole over 196E
Took over a month to get an appointment but then not informed that they had moved. Just about managed to get to location so as not to miss appointment
Have heard many other complaints from people about staff at the branch. AVOID & BANK ELSEWHERE
Since Caxiabank has taken over what was…
Since Caxiabank has taken over what was Bankia and before that Bancaja they have been an absolute disaster. I went to my local branch today to return my an item I no longer needed. I waited and waited. No one at the front desk. In fact there is no front counter any more. I gave up after 1/2 hour. You could see people come in, think the same and left. They simply don't value their customers. I hope to go online instead. No point paying for a poor service or no service in this case!
Absolutely terrible
Absolutely terrible bank that I have been forced to use since they took over Bankia (have a mortgage with them so little choice). I have lost count how many times they have frozen my account preventing me withdrawing my own money and having to waste time when I’m meant to be on vacation. Have filled in every form
under the sun yet their customer services can’t even tell me what info is apparently still outstanding. And they have the nerve to charge 60 euros a year for the pleasure of this “service”. Avoid at all costs.
Impossible to contact and miserable helpdeske
It is impossible to contact caixa bank if You do not have the CaixaBankNow app and there an adviser assigned.
I get emails, that I have a new statemen in the mailbox, but I can not open that statement, because they have cancelled my adviser.
I have contacted their helpdesk 3 times, but they do not help, just advice to visit the office or phone there. I am in Finland, spanish phone robot speaks badly and I do not speak spanish. Also dialing numbers, that the robot proposes does not connect me to any human. I suspect, that even travelling there does not help, becouse they propably do not let me in without reserved visiting time! Help desk Ref.24114217
