Shady shop. I'll never buy anything else from CameraTools. I ordered a Sony lens on Amazon on the 27th of November, which was supposed to arrive by the 15th of December. After realizing it wasn't going to be delivered, I called Amazon and I asked for a refund. This shady shop contacted me and told me the item was delivered on the 10th of December at a tabacchi near my home and that if I wanted to investigate, I had to sign a form to open an investigation. They said many times in the email "Make sure is a handwritten signature."
What a shady practice. Amazon told us to stop talking to them, and we requested an immediate refund!
DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

My experience with them was really good. I bought a blackmagic pocket 4k and it arrived on time. I will definitely buy from them again

The goods were very badly packed and came dirty. The box has already crumbled. I had to check it with a courier.

For some products of the usa-market it is the only place to buy them in europe without wild shiping costs. Like haze in a can "atmospheric aerosol"

Firstly I have to say what a pleasure it has been dealing with CameraTools.NL
I placed my order, and the goods were on my doorstep in the UK in just 48 hours - very good service.
Now for the HBN/Eckla-Eagle autodeur tripod.
The mount is really well engineered. It fits well in my Suzuki Jimny, but only the passenger side. The driver side does not have space due to the positioning of the steering wheel and armrest.
However, once the geometry and fitting has been sorted the mount is very firm. I found it best to grip the door rather than just the window. The window will still wind up and down, especially if you put a bit of pressure on the platform to relieve contact with the window.
Using a gimbal mount, I had to have the mount platform as low as possible. There is a small amount of vibration caused by the flimsiness of the Jimny door card. This can be countered by putting pressing down on the lens when taking photographs. I imagine more sturdy door cards will have less of this.
Particularly good was the ability to turn the camera through 90 degrees, wind up the window, and drive to the next location.
I shut a large camouflage scrim scarf in the door to hide me from the subject, whilst still giving a fairly clear view.
In all I am delighted with this device, and a number of my friends are considering purchasing one.

I ordered a photo background and the color they had in the photos on the website was from a different background, so the one i received was a completely diffferent shade

I am very content with CameraTools' service. I was looking for an adapter ring and needed some info on compatibility and the appropriate model. A CameraTools employee helped me instantly via the chat on their site, provided correct information and good advice. The item was displayed as "out of stock" with an expected date for delivery in approximately 4 weeks. What a pleasant surprise: CameraTools outperformed their own estimate, the speedring arrived at my doorsteps (Germany) two days later - thumbs up for that! Considering the excellent product portfolio, their quality of service and the competitive prices I enjoy doing business with CameraTools.
