I had the pleasure of working with…

I had the pleasure of working with Edward Vorley at Camino Search after being made redundant, and his support was invaluable. Ed was proactive in finding a wide range of opportunities and always listened to my feedback on which roles I did or didn’t want to pursue. He also helped me grow my professional network and most recently introduced me to Blue Bridge Partners, which has led to involvement in internal projects and kept me engaged in my current role.

Ed’s approachable style, clear communication, and genuine interest in my career goals made a real difference. Camino as a whole also stands out by offering more than just recruitment — providing valuable insight into the wider market. Highly recommend!

Horrible

Horrible. They are fake recruiters building a database and selling it to other firms.

Absolutely horrible recruitment…

Absolutely horrible recruitment company. I think this is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. This company does not even deserve to be a called a company - it's a scam full of lying people (and I have evidence as you will find out if you continue reading this).

I was contacted by them regarding two roles. They passed on my CV for another role without my consent. The recruiter did not ask me anything about my previous experience or my current position - nothing. They also provided very little to no guidance on what to prepare for the interview, have no description ready for the roles that were recruiting for and frankly knew nothing about it (again very very young professionals which is fine but someone please give them some training and structure...) I was successful so of course they stayed in touch with me. I made it to the very last round of a reputable fund (bit shocked that such a reputable fund is using this scamming recruitment company). Afterwards I heard nothing from them for two weeks. After two weeks, I finally got an answer saying that the company decided to run more interviews with candidates who have more experience in in-house strategy (This message by the way was a script and I know that for sure as my friend was applying for another role with them and got the same message with a few changes), However, this was an utter lie because I found out from my previous company that the fund decided to hire one of my ex-colleagues - a consultant. Absolutely disappointed that I never got an honest feedback from them which I believe after preparing for c.3 interviews and making it to the final round would be appropriate as I already invested so much time with them.

Another recruitment experience (which happened in parallel with the first one), the same story, this time my friend and I did not make it pass the first round. Radio silence from Camino Partners (Search). After few weeks I got the same message - "After interviewing few candidates, they decided to interview few more and looking to fill in position with an in-house strategy consultant". No feedback and radio silence. Funnily enough, I started a new role at another firm and I met a colleague and we started chatting about this and we found out that they were the one who got the role (but they declined). Again, the colleague was not an in-house strategy consultant. I'm just utterly confused why would Camino Partners (Search) lie about this. Why can they not just give you a short feedback? Why they have to make angry off potential candidates like that? I'm utterly confused about the business model here as well. They message multiple candidates on LinkedIn, present them to the client, and ghost about two thirds of them. The potential candidates get (rightly) angry and never respond to Camino´s future opportunities again so Camino Partners (Search) have to look for new profiles every time a new role emerges - how is that sustainable & viable? Surely you want create a pool of potential candidates, build relationship so you can reach back to them and present them with more suitable roles? It's so bizarre and frankly very silly.

On another note, please, if you are a reputable PE / VC fund - DO NOT USE THEM. It is not worth it and it can seriously damage your reputation. Consulting world is small and people talk a LOT. After this experience, I'm ready to stay away from both the recruitment company and their client too.

Terrible recruitment firm

Most unprofessional recruitment firm that I have encountered. The employees in this firm are mostly young, often straight out of college kind of individuals with little to no actual recruitment experience. They often oversell the roles they advertise to build a large pool of potential candidates. Subsequently, they only follow-up with the successful ones while going completely AWOL on the unsuccessful candidates.

I would advise everyone who are looking towards new opportunities to connect with more established and professional firms. Don't waste your time on these guys.

The most unprofessional recruitment…

The most unprofessional recruitment agency I have ever dealt with. They are very quick to get back to you when they need something from you. Otherwise, you get blanked, ignored and are lied to. They work with companies who have no ethical standards and treat their employees like dirt. Avoid!

I do NOT recommend - AWFUL AGENCY

I do NOT recommend. They start off giving it the big talk and it’s all downhill from there. Seems to be a trend with Camino, as some of the previous reviews mention a similar experience. Stick to well known names in the recruitment industry this agency fails to deliver and actually there are far better agencies out there with more exciting clients. These guys need to drop the big talk and learn to be more open and honest. These guys are the worst agency I’ve dealt with

These guys are spoofers!

These guys are spoofers!

Always posting nonsense on LinkedIn about great roles available and but then waste your time or either don’t respond to mails at all. I am not sure they have any roles at all on sometimes

As a candidate I would suggest avoid avoid avoid

The best recruiter in London.

Sachin Ruparelia of Camino Partners is the sort of person one comes across very rarely. A highly experienced and astute recruiter, he was able to understand my job search and particular circumstances very quickly, secure me multiple interviews and ultimately two fantastic job offers to choose from.

Throughout the process Sachin has been beyond impressive; he has provided crucial advice and insight, access to opportunities that I would not have been able to find elsewhere, and has been an absolute pleasure to interact with at every step. All this while he is also running the company as CEO! Highly recommend- supremely impressed.

Most unprofessional recruiters I've come across

I've blocked them from contacting me on my mobile, email and LinkedIn but different consultants still continue to pester me. They've done nothing but waste my time. First they tell you you're perfect for a role they have, waste hours of your time telling you about it and getting you to apply, then just ignore you completely. No feedback, no call back until they need you. Worst approach I've ever experienced. I hope to never hear from them again.

Unreliable recruitment company

Unreliable recruitment company, they will find your details on LinkedIn, contact you, email you and then interview over the phone and by video. Then they will promise you that you are the best candidate for the job and finally they will turn around and say their client has changed their mind. It is all a CV collection exercise like a lot of rogue agencies do nowadays. Stick to the well known names in the recruitment industry as this agency will definitely disappoint after wasting many hours of your time. They are also Google advertisers so if you try to post any negative review about them on Google, they will have it removed as they don't like the truth to get out. Stay well clear if you don't want your time wasted.
