Absolutely ridiculous payment policy regarding both payment methods and how they process them. They will not allow any form of debit mastercard nor prepaid card accounts like KOHO. The money gets put... See more

Bad Business
I ordered a monitor, on line, for a pickup at their North York store. I checked the website two days later. The order was cancelled by Canada Computers. I called their help line and enquired as to why. They said it was unavailable at that store but it was available at other stores. I could go and buy it at one of the other stores. I asked why could they just not arrange to have it picked up at the North York store. I was told that was possible but I would have to call the North York store. At that point I ended the conversation. Canada Computers brags about being Canadian owned. If all Canadian companies carried on business like Canada Computers what does it say about our future.
DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING
DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING, AND I MEAN ANYTHING from Canada Computers. God forbid you have a problem, you are on your own. I spoke to the service manger at head office and he basically told me to go pound salt on an item that didn't work out of the box.
worst company to buy from
worst company to buy from, customer service sucks, I would never recommend any one to buy from Canada computers. bought over $3000 of desktop parts to build my own, some of the parts were not compatible and they would not return it or replace it, and it was Canada computer recommending the parts for me.
i took my computer in because things…
i took my computer in because things kept crashing, not only did they not fix the issue, but after i brought it in something completely unrelated broke too. they couldnt find a cause for either problem.
Bait and switch. Save you time, shop elsewhere.
Ordered a computer just before Christmas. Was told it was in stock. Now over a week later, and it's listing as "Dropship", still no confirmation that it has, or when it will ship. Last time I spend any money a Canada Computers.
I have utilized the technical expertise…
I have utilized the technical expertise of the staff located in central Mississauga on a number of occasions. I recently needed a battery for my laptop which Canada Computers (CC) does not sell. I obtained the battery from an outside source & received help with the battery installation at CC. Honestly - the customer service I received from Dave was first class.
About a month previously I received assistance from Denzel regarding the type of batteries and process to replace the batteries for the remote control of an older vehicle. This was a time consuming activity which required a bit of research on his behalf.
Although neither of these items were overly financially lucrative for Canada Computers, the customer service I received was so superior, this is definitely the place I will utilize in the future for related items as well as the purchase of my new computer very soon.
Thank you so much for your most valuable assistance.
SI

uses puralator
They are the WORST company to deal…
They are the WORST company to deal with. If you value customer service and customer loyalty this is NOT the store for you. My only regret now is I could not leave a lower score than 1. They have false advertising on their price guarantee policy (in fact there is none because they have so many exclusion conditions there is no point of having a policy). When I tried to discuss this I was basically ignored. Great service after purchasing more than $1k of merchandise - I will not return.
Website quite meh
Website quite meh. I'd recommend going in-store instead.
They have a habit of showing display units (some of which they don't sell) as a part of their stock in stores, which was frustrating because one time I took a bus across a city for over an hour only to find the 1 unit remaining was a display unit that they couldn't sell.
Could also be nice if they had cheaper shipping, the prices seem like what a normal person would get when shipping items, not really what a company's shipping costs should be on the scale of their operations.
Desperate as hell
I have an account on their website. I tried to buy stuff, it wouldn't work so I checked out as a guest instead.
Now for the last half a day they've harassed me with 13 (I kid you not) emails saying I have items left in my cart.
I've emailed them but obviously it isn't business hours so I guess on going to wake up with 30 more of these stupid emails.
How the f*** is your company so ghetto, or so stupid, that you beg customers to buy $#*! every 15 minutes with a f**king email?
What Outstanding Service!
I bought a new computer from them and I am pretty savvy when it comes to desktop computers and most things tech, but not laptops. Ethan on the sales side was knowledgeable, did not talk down to me, but in terms I could understand, was service oriented and he made some great suggestions for some of the accessories I was looking for. On the service side I wish I could remember the names of the two guys who were working on October 5, 2023, but they were outstanding as well. As for the person I think was the store manager, he was splendid.
Bad online, good in-person
Never order something online for shipping, it will take forever and its horrible experience. In store shopping is pretty good and the prices are good as well.
Avoid. Scam
Placed an order. Once placed and my card charged they said it was back order. Online showed lots of stock. They then said it had shipped but after 10 days Canada Post doesn't have it and confirmed that to me. Canada computers has not opened a trace or taken any action. Clearly they don't have the products. Haven't shipped the products and simply taking my money until they can. I have called and emailed. They out and out lie. I can't get a manager to call me back. Always busy when I ask. Just adds to the scam they are pulling.
They have a lot of complaints unanswered on the BBB.
Avoid them. A scam. I have called my bank to help get my money back.
The Waterloo store used to be a good…
The Waterloo store used to be a good place to shop. But now there is hardly anyone around to do something as simple as check out a purchase. Lots of people standing in line and all we need is someone to take our money and let us leave.
Their warranty for Lenovo ThinkPad is a scam, not honored by Lenovo
I used to buy refurbished Lenovo ThinkPads from Canada computers since they provide 1 year manufacture warranty. I never had to use it until this year. My ThinkPad keyboard failed in less than a year so I called the store and they advise me to call Lenovo. Lenovo support said my warranty expired, seems they don't have warranty on refurbished computers only original warranties . It's been a week and I am still in process of talking to different departments, they send me from tech support to sales and back, nobody knows what to do. Canada Computer warranty is not in Lenovo system. So I do not think this warranty will not be honored. It's a scam. Please be aware. I would never buy the laptop from Canada Computer again, their warranty is a SCAM.
Horrible Customer Service & Fraudsters
I bought a refurbished laptop. Brought it home and noticed it had a damaged track-pad. I called the store right away and they said bring it back. I brought it back the next day. Did they give me my money back? Nope! I was prepared to spend more money on a brand new unit but they told me, "We're sorry but our head office has a policy." I have to wait 4-5 business days and they might not give me my money back for a damaged laptop! Canada Computers and their staff do NOT care about you in the least! Buy from them at your own risk! Canada Computers will not see a single cent from me ever again.
Great In-Store Experience, App/Website Not Great
I've built 7 PCs and at least half my parts were bought from Canada Computers. Never had a bad in-store experience, though their website/mobile app experience could use some improvement. For example, their display units somehow count towards their stock of a product??? Stupidest thing I'd ever heard since they don't sell their display units.
Shipping costs are also quite bad, but I suppose they aren't high-volume enough to have a good relationship with couriers.
Most dissatisfied experience at the Ajax store
Hello. I've visited the Canada Computers store in Ajax alongside my son, who purchased an Xbox controller and the extended warranty for it. The controller was purchased March 15, 2023, and the extended warranty expires in 2026.
This controller worked great until a few days ago when the right bumper started intermittently failing. My son tried to use a pressured air spray to clean it up and after 30-40 minutes, the button acts up once again.
We came to the store asking for a replacement under warranty. The store manager, Ronald V, stated that he can't trust us that the item is defective, and he needs to replicate the issue in store. I asked him how long do we need to be there since this isuue is intermittent and pretty random, and he said `as much as we need to'. I asked him why would a normal person come to a store with a working controller, asking for a straight replacement, and he didn't know what to say. So after talking to this person like I was talking to a wall, I agreed to leave the controller with the store for a day so they replicate the issue. My next question would have been how much time are they going to stress test a controller under the same condition a teenager would, and doing their job at the same time, but honestly, I just gave up.
I want to say how disappointed I am with their service. My son bought this out of his own savings, and I advised him to purchase the extra warranty, hoping that he's going to use this controller for a long time. After my experience with this store in Ajax, I can tell you that it was the last time I shopped there. This Ronald V person refused to give me a clear escalation path or a feedback form, so I'm using this as a complaint for a terrible customer service and attitude towards a paying customer. I will use all available means to get my kid the product that he deserves, and paid for.
Generation Z in action.
Garbage. Went to Canada computers in Orleans to get a Lenovo laptop case changed because they advised me previously that they worked on Lenovo. I own/run a small business so getting my laptop fixed is really crucial as I do tons of work on it 7 days per week. Weren’t able to help me in any way, wouldn’t commit to any repair or parts, technician not working so couldn’t speak to anyone who actually works on computers. The clerk I spoke to has no idea what he was doing - zero customer service - basically a business being run by condescending teenagers. Do not go to this business for anything.
