Customer service does not exist. They do not give the 15 percent discount. No dunce answers the phone. Ever. You get an auto generated email reply 5 days later that is not response to the problem. Lastly items were never delivered. Nobody to call. Ordered weeks ago. What is remarkable is most pet consumer companies have amazing customer service. I cannot understand how this company stays in business. I cannot opine on the quality of merchandise because I never got any. American Express has had a lot of problems with this company
Horrible customer service
I would prefer to not give any stars...I have bought items from CP in the past but I had some questions about sizing because I bought 2 coats of the same size but they were different in sizing. So before purchasing a new coat, I wanted to get some size info. I called twice and they have no one to take calls so I emailed. No response. Also, when you click on "Chat", nothing happens. I may still purchase CP items for my dogs but will purchase from Chewy.
Canada pooch is a joke.
In December 5/2024 I bought a winter jacket and a set of winter boots for my chihuahua dog. It’s January the 9th/2025 and my order hasn’t arrived yet. I thought the delay was due the Canada post strike. The Canada post services have been restored since two weeks ago and nothing yet.
In their tracking website says that the parcel is on its way. I have tried to get in touch with the Canada pooch company several times to address the issue and there is not way you can get a human being to answer the phone calls or an email.
I’m very disappointed with this company. Seems to me that after they get the money for the purchase they wash their hands and don’t care if the costumer gets the items or not. There is not desire to help me to resolve this issue at all.
I do not recommend to buy from this company.
Wonderful customer service
Wonderful customer service. When I emailed asked if they sold individual boots (as we lost one) they informed me they didn't not but they that they could ship one to me if I covered shipping. Very happy! Highly recommend this product as it is great quality.
Bad and impersonal customer service
I placed an order and five minutes later wanted to add another item so created a second order together with the initial article to save on the shipping costs. I immediately wrote to the Canada Pooch email and asked that the first order be cancelled. I received a robot email response noting that Canada Pooch does not allow cancelling orders and that they have an easy return process.
When I received the two packages, I had to return two articles and again had to pay the shipping fees. CP uses a courier called ICS that is not a common courier, and I waited 45 mins on the line without a response to set a pickup. I contacted CP via email to ask if I could use a different courier but as the return timeline was coming due sent the package. I finally got an email 1.5 WEEKS LATER noting "they were sad to hear this was not a perfect fit" "Glad to see you were able to set this return".
I have never seen such a terrible customer service and so impersonal. Even with my returning an email noting my disappointment Canada Pooch did not have the decency to give me a call and try to better understand. Beware when buying products!

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
Added: The morning after this review I received an email with a shipping label. I was given 5 days to deliver the return to the post office which was done. Later during the day it was dropped off I received an email saying that I am being refunded for the return.
I have no problem with the quality or fabrics used. However after having my return for one item “approved” for return on their website and being promised a shipping label for the next day I HAVE HEARD NOTHING! It has been over a week. I have emailed twice and received NO REPLY! There are many other pet clothing and accessory companies to choose from. I will NOT BE BUYING from Canada Pooch again!
Poor customer service and Bad sizing guide
The size guides were WAY off for my dog. Then when I went to return the item, they told me it was final sale. There was no indication of that when I purchased it during check out of otherwise. I do not recommend purchasing from this company.

Honestly I wish I'd looked at Trust Pilot first. They mean it when they say new with tags on and there is NO accommodation for customers at all. I followed their sizing and the one we got hits my pooch with tracheal issues right where it makes her cough. They offered me 15% off to buy another size and that's not even enough for taxes and shipping. These coats are great quality and very expensive but you better not have any issues bc they will not make allowances for any reason once you take the tags off.

This company may have nice products but the service is sad. I have been a customer for many year and also gave the products to many people. As of today I will NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN! They never call anyone back after my sixth time still no answer and I asked to speak with someone and still no answer. Its clear its only a money transaction form them. This site is MISLEADING when you say last item are for final sale then you should say this IS A LAST ITEM SALE NO REFUND ... also the print is small so you most likely won't read it and returns your charged for it. a total scam! they actually abuse animals too! peta has been trying to get rid of them but they keep moving their location thats what i heard from several credible sources. Also the fact they answer the phones rudely which was a mistake on their part since im now going to review them 1 star on every possible review site, really thinking about taking this story to cp24 news on how horrible of a company they are and how badly they scam people and the fact they have people with no literal sense or brain power or respect for attempting to do their job properly.

I saw that Canada Pooch had poor reviews, but because my local pet store carried the products, they must be ok. The waist belt that you attach a leash to is made for obese people and is loose at the tighest setting. After cutting a mile of belt off, the belt kept sliding out of the strap, and have had to jerry rig it with elastic bands and staples...

Don't bother with Canada Pouch
I measured my dog's paw carefully, but the boot sizing is way off! I reached out to request a smaller size, but I was told I couldn't exchange them because 15 days had passed. For the amount of money they charge, they should have a more reasonable exchange policy. I wouldn't recommend buying from them.

I bought their Soft Shield Boots for my little cavapoo. Within a couple of weeks, the stitching had worn out on all four booties and there was a hole in one of them within three weeks. My first pair lasted several months but this pair did not hold up at all.
I contacted Canada Pooch and they asked for more information about how I was using them and for a photograph of the damage. After doing so, they blamed me for the damage, saying the boots “are being used incorrectly” because I was using them on grass and sidewalks. They claimed the boots “are meant for winter use to protect from snow, mud, and salt, they were not designed for everyday use.”
Instead of backing their products, they merely suggested I just buy a different pair of boots. Why would I spend more money on another product after experiencing such poor quality?
I pointed out that my first pair was used under the same conditions and did not wear out like this. I also pointed out that the stitching should not wear out and holes develop within three weeks of use, regardless. In addition, there is nothing the website saying the boots are not allowed to be used on pavement or in the summer. The website expressly says the boots protect against mud and rain, which inherently occur in summer as well as winter. Yet my first pair did not have the same issues.
They simply responded saying “our hands are tied here.”
I asked if I could physically speak with a supervisor and the responses was “I am the Senior Customer Experience Specialist here at Canada Pooch so I will be the one continuing this conversation with you” and then she ghosted me.
I followed up several times asking if I could physically speak with someone and there was no response. I also tried calling the customer service line but no one ever picks up. Instead, there is a recording saying “no one is available to take your call.” I tried calling at different times but no luck. I left a voice message but no one called back. I emailed several times and no one responded.
This is wildly unprofessional behaviour, and it seems this company is much smaller than implied by the website.
TLDR; Product quality is poor, they do not back their products, and then they ghost you. Take your business elsewhere.

Poorly fitting items and they won't allow refunds. I went off their size guide and everything was too big, reached out to CS and they won't allow me to exchange anything- I wasn't even looking to be refunded(except for the hat, because they don't make anything smaller), I simply wanted to exchange everything and Melissa from CS said No, but reassured me I can reach out for help with sizing (after already going off their measurement guide to begin with) for future purchases....like I would ever waste my money with them again. I tried to leave a review on their page warning people about the sizing-but my reviews mysteriously vanished-so they are deleting any negative reviews and only keeping the 5*. It doesn't make any sense why the reviews would be so high on their site with not a single bad one, yet when you research everywhere else they're less than great - downright bad. Unfortunately I have been buying from this company for 10 years, in store, I was unaware how deceiving they are. Never again!
