Really dreadful food

Really dreadful food. Had 2 plates of Orechiette pasta with sausage and Ragu sauce 2 orange juices & 1 small bottle of water for £34.80. Pasta arrived about 40 minutes later. It was almost raw; some was cooked al dente. It was also so tasteless I couldn’t eat it. My son was really hungry and ate it all, but asked me never to take him here again. I paid in full in cash, but decided to complain. The manager took the payment, agreed with my complaint but offered no refund or amends. Avoid carluccio’s, really disgusted.

I used to love Carluccio's

I used to love Carluccio's, but it has sadly let itself down recently. We went for lunch to the Hampstead branch. My youngest child received both his main and starter at the same time as our starters, which was a bit odd. However the rest of the food still hadn't arrived almost an hour later, despite three requests to find out what had happened to it. When it did eventually appear, it had clearly been microwaved - it was really unpleasant. We were so hungry by this point that we couldn't face another wait, so we ate it anyway. The waiter who took our plates away asked if everything had been all right. I said "No, not really..." He then just walked away! I contacted them afterwards to let them know what had happened, but they haven't bothered to reply. Such a shame, it used to be lovely.

Ignorant staff

Hi, I visited the restaurant today around 1.30pm and we were seating close to the back area where a lot of the wait staff are located. I understand a bit of Italian, and unfortunately overheard some of the staff talking about my appearance (and race) and the fact that I asked for gluten free menu. I don’t care about opinions regarding my race or my appearance, but I think it is very poor taste for the waitstaff to think that others do not understand their conversations simply because they speak Italian to each other and do not show discretion or respect to the clientele. In addition, I believe it is very poor taste to criticise someone just because they ask for a gluten free menu- which is obviously linked to my health conditions. I forgive their ignorance regarding comments about my appearance as they have no idea what my medical conditions are, but I don’t think they should demonstrate indiscretion or lack of respect just because someone asks for a gluten free menu and is suffering from an autoimmune condition. I urge you to educate your staff to show more respect and discretion when sharing opinions amongst each other, and not think that people are unable to understand them just because they are speaking Italian to each other. Many thanks

I went to brent cross with my daughter

I went to brent cross with my daughter. We ordered teas and cake. The teapot was filthy. It was full of hair and dirty old bits of food . I was so shocked we walked out. I have never been to a carllucios before and will never go again.

Please do not use Carluccio if you have…

Please do not use Carluccio if you have any allergies. I intolerant to black pepper and it seems they cook everything w pepper. Sad that they choose pepper over a paying customer. And by the way, we use very little pepper in Italian dishes in Italy. Just saying.

Went to Brindley Place restaurant…

Went to Brindley Place restaurant tonight.
Spaghetti Carbornara luke warm and dry tasted like a shop bought sauce, request for some ordinary crusty bread denied, what self respecting Italian restaurant does not serve bread with pasta, cost about 30 p.
Saw waiting staff leaving salads under hot lamps and reheating dishes held up to them.
Beer was luke warm as well.
Whole experience mediocre at best I only gave it one star to be able to write this review it does not even deserve that.
I thought Jamie Olivers was bad this ranks along with it.
Factory food at it's worse .

Deserves To Close

Deserves To Close
Deserves To Close for Good .. just like the the proverbial Monty Python parrot and Carluccio - DEAD for ever
We ate at Swindon Carluccio's and the food was terrible. Our guest had symptoms of food poisoning and we will never return to any Carluccio's.
This chain has lost its direction since Antonio's demise.
Avoid this restaurant or risk your health.

disappointing food, beware!

Visited Richmond on 13 September. Bruschetta cold unseasoned pieces of tomato on cold bread. Toast served with pate cold curled.
Breaded chicken unseasoned tasted like cardboard.
Steak good, pate good. Written letter to head office, London enclosed receipt, still no reply. Do they ignore complaints?
Service was good but meal disappointing. Will not hesitate to relate experience when Carluccios is mentioned.

I have been in touch with Caluccio's…

I have been in touch with Caluccio's management people after a pretty dire experience in one of their restaurants.

After three weeks or so I have yet to receive anything other than polite acknowledgments via twitter and email.

I am beginning to get quite fed up now and will report further.

Went to Carluccio’s in Richmond

Went to Carluccio’s in Richmond this afternoon for lunch. Our waitress Stacey was first class! Very professional and well mannered. The food and deserts were excellent as was the service. Will be happy to visit again!

No attention to detail; neither in service nor kitchen. Poor value

After a long walk, we popped into an empty Carluccios for breakfast.

I had the traditional breakfast with very salty pancetta and an overcooked and very dry sausage, under-cooked poached eggsand toast which wasn't really toasted.

my wife c hose the diavolo egg breakfast and specifically asked for her egg to be briefly flipped over - she hates runny whites - but for the yolk to still be runny. She got an over-cooked and hard-cooked egg and said the whole meal was pretty tasteless.

My americano coffee was too strong and way too short; my wife asked for her coffee to come after we'd finished eating but it came midway though the meal.

Service was indifferent.

A waste of £23. Won't be going back.

Poor Service

Branch opposite Tate Modern
Inadequate customer service, all the staff looked miserable; clearly a lack of staff given the volume of customers & delays to being seated, ordering food etc. Disappointing experience

Oxford Carluccios - Very Poor Food

Oxford restaurant.

Terrible and slightly overpriced food, not what you expect from Carluccios.

When it came to pay the bill our waiter stood over us whilst we decided on the card machine whether to tip or not, which felt forced.

We actually declined to because our food was so poor and expensive. Shame - our waiter was actually pretty attentive.

Not a fan

Not a fan as I have had some poor experiences in this chain of restaurants.
The food is nothing special and over priced.
During my last visist one of the employees was handling food with her bare hands, then dealing with customers and handling money, then going straight back to the food without washing her hands.
If she was doing this in public it makes me wonder what is going on behind the scenes.
