Didnt cancel policy they were told to cancel
Phoned them up 3 weeks ago to get quote for new bike. Told me they couldnt quote for my new bike so asked if any other insurers would. Yes they could get another insurer to quote. Came back with price near double what i had just paid for a multi bike policy with them. Told the rep that wont be insuring with them as of the 27th of july and cancel policy as of that date as i will be picking up new bike on that date and have a cheaper quote with bike sure for less than they were charging for multi bike. Just phoned them to make sure i wasnt still insured for 2 bikes i dont own and they said i was. Asked why old policy hadnt been cancelled as requested and was told the person i spoke to couldnt cancel a policy. Person i spoke to this time comfirmed the conversation but they refuse to back date the cancellation even though it was their mistake and i wasnt informed i would have to contact their cancellation dept. No it is not my issue, it is your issue that it wasnt cancelled. You were told when i phoned to cancel it. You made no comment about passing me to cancellation dept or that you couldnt cancel it as of the 27th july. Just paid for a weeks insurance for 2 bikes i no longer own. Disgusting treatment. Have now raised a complaint, wonder if i need to speak to God almighty to ensure the complaint has been raised and gone to the right departmemt.

The staff that I had contact with were…
The staff that I had contact with were first class, but they are hamstrung by a ridiculously complex and unpredictable IT system, I still can’t access the online account that I neither want or need but seems to be the only way that the system works.
