Carpet One charges for considerably more carpet per square feet than what is needed.
Here are two carpet installation quotes. I am having carpet installed in my living room and 2 bedrooms that measures 745 SF (which is the measurement from Carpet One and Lowes) I understand that most retailers will add 10% more square foot than what is measured, even more percent if the carpet has a pattern that needs to be matched. My carpet was NOT a pattern match carpet. The one thing I do not understand is why they charge you the same amount of SF for the carpet and pad being removed and hauled as they do carpet and pad being installed knowing they have 10% extra carpet!? Is it possible to tear out more carpet and pad than square foot of space measured!?? My advise to people looking to install flooring is to be careful and look over quotes because mistakes/scams can happen.
