Scam Website - Beware
The only time I've fell for a scam website. Website looks generally convincing. Went to order a roof box due to the price being cheaper than others (but not ridiculously cheap to reel you in).
I placed the order and should have been more concerned at the fact it was bank transfer only and no mention of delivery price being excluded or included for a large item. I proceeded anyway and got an email saying they would email soon with payment details.
24 hours later I chased them due to needing the box for a holiday. They quickly replied providing bank details and asking for proof of payment. I found this strange as banking apps do no normally allow this so I advised them the same. I stupidly proceeded to make the payment and when I got an email 2 hours later saying I needed to pay another £150 for courier "insurance" I knew it was a scam.
The person did not sign off on a name on their "company" email, caller me "mate" and tried to put pressure on saying he was waiting on me, refusing me to provide proof of the shipping and only sending a generic image of clearly not a roof box in a cloth cover in some internal storage container.
I asked for a refund and was told it would be 21 days because I did not pay the insurance, which is clearly a lie given it never got shipped and they have my money. No surprise their telephone number does not work and they stopped replying to emails.
I have reported the website for fraud to several sites and my bank who will look to recover my money. Doing more digging I found there is no company number or director details based on the two names given as contacts, and the fake reviews have images stolen from other websites doing a reverse image search.
DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS SITE!
