Excellent Service

Isabella, is amazing! I say this because not only was she very nice but she was so helpful in helping me to know how to do exercises, while also in explaining why I was doing them. She helped me to understand what each exercise or stretch was doing to help me get stronger.
Thank you again Isabella!

Horrible agency. DO NO USE THEM!

CBI agreed to provide a total of 56 hours per week when my 89 year old mom was discharged from the hospital. PSWs didn't show up, arrived late (I don't mean minutes. It was 1-2 hours at times). They stayed for 15 minutes and left because they "had another client". I was on the phone with the scheduling department every day, sometimes 2-3 times a day. Management couldn't give a rat's ass (Karen H. in particular). After 3 weeks of their BS, I'd had enough of their incompetence and switched to another agency who actually show up and leave when they're supposed to.

If I could give a -5, I would.

Neglecting the 96 year old bed ridden lady

We have a 96 year old bed ridden mother. Totally depends on care. She is only on liquid diet. Her home care provider is CBI. Very often no body shows up for service and they don’t have the courtesy to let the client know and don’t have anyone to show up for service. It is very frustrating.
Now I am thinking to find some other service provider as ther are a few out there. CBI is very poorly managed company.

3 appointments, zero treatments

Im a former college/pro athlete with more time spent in physio, chiro and massage therapy, as a patient than anyone i know. I also have my degrees in Kinesiology, Health and Teacher Education.
I attended two appointments.ents previously trying to get some pain relief and mobility in my hip, which i will be having a full replacement of, in a few weeks. I canceled all remaining appointments due to receiving absolutely no treatment whatsoever in those two previous appointments. Both of which, was spent discussing the pain levels and general complete loss of quality of life. The therapist managed to only print off some strengthening exercises from the internet. I did not receive any treatments at all. ZIP, ZERO, NADA. Given my clear explanation of what I was wanting, and the total failure to demonstrate any actual knowledge or ability to assist with pain & mobility, I was extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience, especially considering the 40yrs of excellent care/treatment I have received across 3 countries, and numerous practitioners i had been treated by, 1 of which was a lengthy recovery/rehabilitation from Tommy John elbow surgery, that would have ended my career at 19yrs of age had i not received the excellent care during a 4 month long physio rehabilitation.

My latest experience was on the date posted above (today). I called CBI yesterday, being in significant pain in my neck and shoulder from an impingement that was causing extreme pain, spasms and nerve pain throughout the are and running down my arm. This pain was comparable to what I was suffering from in my hip. To their credit, I was very happy that they got me in today, as I had stressed on the phone, that I couldn't imagine getting through the holidays dealing with the noted symptoms. However, just like my 2 previous appointments, the therapist used the entire 45 minutes asking questions about my symptoms, showing me a few stretches and printing/emailing them to me. I received zero actual treatment. No ultrasound, no hands on manipulation, no stem, nothing but a couple stretches and told to book in for after the holidays.
I left in as much if not more pain than when I walked in with, and hour previous. I was not impressed which im sure the therapist was well aware of, and she attempted to qualify not having helped at all by stating that I had already gone to a chiropractor and massage therapist one each last week and hadn't stated to have gotten any relief! Im not exactly sure what the hell that those 2 appointments had to do with her sitting in front of her computer looking up exercises instead of attempting to give me some relief so I wasn't completely immobilized over Christmas holidays and nowhere open/available to help.

Im not sure if physio has completely changed from my numerous hours of attending various practitioners in the past, but if it has, then what purpose does physio serve ? Atte ding CBI simply cost money for zero help or improvement. The front desk attendant and others seemed nice enough, I have nothing negative to say about anyone else or my experience there, but it was absolutely pointless to pay for appointments that did nothing to relieve pain & symptoms at all. Basically, I would have at least gotten some entertainment out off lighting my cash on fire and watching the bills burn! Needless to say, as a baseball pitcher, this was a quick "3 strikes and yer out!" I'll never waste my time and money for someone to look up recommended stretches online again, as I already have the knowledge of those and basically common knowledge to seek recommendations in treating injuries prior to spending $ for someone to help. If that is what physiotherapy entails these days, why would anyone bother?

Luckily, I got in to see my chiropractor a few hours later. He performed some hands on physical manipulations, stretching, joint adjustments, and ultrasound on my neck & shoulder, which gave me significant relief, basically reducing my pain in approximately half while increasing my mobility. Im very thankful to my chiropractor, again.

Trusteed

I had such a great experience with CBI Physio! The staff are always professional, friendly, and very accommodating. Even when their schedule was full, they still managed to find a spot for me, which I really appreciated. A special thanks to Vishwa for the excellent physiotherapy care and for sharing helpful tips during my sessions. I also want to thank the rest of the team for being so kind and supportive throughout my recovery.

Horrible phone system now!

The care you get from the nurses (home wound care) is great but they have implemented a new automated telephone system and trying to reach them now is a nightmare. I have been on hold for 45 minutes now and still waiting. Yes, I know you can have them call you back, but that still doesn't free me to go to other appointments. Also, when I do call and make changes, quite often the nurses tell me that they were not made aware of the changes.

Seniors in Canada Beware of CBI HEALTH CENTRES

Seniors in Canada, be aware of CBI Health Medical Functional Driving Assessment recommended by the Ministry of Transportation……… May 13, 2025.
________________________________________________________________________
On February 2025, I was admitted to the Hamilton General Hospital, and I was treated extremely well for Influenza A. The Doctors and staff were excellent, and I was released in 2.5 days.
Whilst I was at the hospital, a Dr. Kent happened to advise me that I should not drive based on my influenza. He did not treat me and constantly asked me whether I would agree not to drive. I replied to him that I do not agree as I had no reason to stop driving.
I was surprised to be requested to see my family Dr. Hussam Taha who indicated that I have been suspended to drive under: Section 47 (1) of the Highway Traffic Act due to “Cognitive Impairment.”
The Ministry of Transportation forwarded a list of Approved Functional Assessment Centres Medical Assessments.
In Hamilton, there were 2 facilities, and I selected CBI Health Centre Hamilton, located at 954 Upper James Street. I further looked for reviews and found that CBI had nasty reviews by internal personal and customers. I was wondering why CBI was recommended. As I could not drive my car, I took a chance and signed up with CBI and paid $750.
I had a session in the office from 9.00 am to 10.00 am and my driving test was between 3.00 pm and 4 pm. Meantime, after having a burger lunch, I sat down for 5 hours and wondered why CBI personnel did not have the fundamental knowledge of workflow practices. In my opinion, it was physical abuse. I don’t think, the employees are taught the fundamentals of physical and mental friction caused by the employees due to lack of training and thereby faking scores and remarks.
Being a confident driver without a ticket or accident for approximately 47 years, I was accompanied by the female employee and the driving instructor. At a blind spot, I slowed down to a crawling mode, I braked, and the driving instructor braked as well. As I was turning right, I looked at the right and left to safely drive when there was no traffic.
Secondly, whilst I drove as instructed, I had to stop at a stop sign or a traffic light: to drive off, I accelerated about 3 times went over 50 to 53 or 55 and scaled down to 50 kmh within mini seconds.
Guess what??
After we returned to the CBI Office, the female associate stated I that I failed the driving test
Disappointed, my guess was that after reading the reviews, one of the tactics made to the CBI employees was to increase sales. The associates can only do that by failing customers to pay again and again.
Do they really think that I would pay CBI again another $750 for a similar tactic, or will I recommend CBI? The answer is a big NO! NO!NO!
All my tests conducted showed that I had zero issues. Blood pressure 126/64, Passed education at the Hamilton Stroke Centre, TIA Diagnosis – zero, Ischemic, Hemorrhagic – zero, Transient Ischemic attack – zero, other Non vascular event possibly related to febrile, illness, CBI FORM 1.D Health form – all zero, palpitation zero, shortness of breath – zero, chest discomfort – zero, dizziness – zero, flattering – zero, fainted – zero, and racing heart – zero.
Seniors, I am positive that you can evaluate how CBI functions. Look at the reviews of the employees who are abused and poorly trained by bullies.
I will have to seek a, honourable driving instructor company recommended by the Ministry.
