ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A COMPANY!!

ABSOLUTE JOKE OF A COMPANY!!! I ordered Endless Oceans 2, Adventures of the deep on WII on 14th May to cheer my little boy up after he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes as he was upset about having insulin injections. Over 2 weeks later the parcel turned up only to find it was the wrong game inside, they had sent Endless Oceans, Blue World which is the 1st game.

I complained by email, as no telephone number is provided (wonder why!!)
They emailed me a returns slip and said as soon as they receive the returned game that they would send the correct order. I returned the game straight away on 4th June. After waiting for 3 weeks and numerous emails, I received the parcel today 25th June, not only was it not the correct region ie. (PAL) but (NTSC), it was also the exact same game that I returned, they had sent Endless Ocean, Blue World, again. I have emailed them and told them I want a full refund from them and will never order from them again.

They may be a few pounds cheaper than Game, Asda etc..... but what a joke of a company they are, after 6 weeks of waiting and still they send the wrong game. So much for cheering my little boy up...... should have stuck to companys I know! Lesson Learned NEVER BUY FROM THIS JOKE OF A COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sent the wrong item, eventually got a full refund but took some effort

I bought a DVD from CDWOW as it was £15 cheaper than on Amazon.co.uk. Their website described the DVD as region free, thus would work on my region DVD player. The DVD I actually received, however, was region 1, meaning I was unable to play it.
I contacted their customer service team, and whilst they always replied speedily (usually within 6 hours) I could not get any sense from them. I sent them the link and explained the situation but they insisted that it was me who had ordered the wrong product and they would not give a return/refund, despite the fact that the information on their website being clearly wrong, and thus according to their own website, entitling to a refund. Eventually they emailed back saying that as a 'one time goodwill gesture' they would allow me to return the item, but they still stressed that I had made a mistake when ordering the item. This annoyed me as I was clearly not in the wrong.
I sent back the item and 3 weeks later I got an email asking me to confirm whether I would like an exchange for another product or a refund via vouchers to be used on their website. I emailed back saying I would like to exchange for the DVD that said they were going to send me, and if not I would like a refund by card, not by vouchers. After a couple more emails I eventually got to someone who understood the situation and for the first time in the 6/7 emails I received from them, they accepted that I was sent the wrong item and the information on their site was wrong; I was then given a refund to my card.
While I was satisfied with the end outcome in getting a refund by card instead of vouchers, I didn’t receive the DVD I wanted. I’ve ordered it from Amazon.fr instead now.

Cheap prices - long delivery

They have a broad range of products and i often order cd's and dvd's here.
The deliverytime is long, and a few times i have waited longer than estimated.
Good bargains on series.

They are a good company but...

I have ordered several times and will continue to do so. They have some good bargains and a fairly good range of region 1 and 3 with the majority being region 2.

I wouold say that delivery can be a little on the slow side so on that basis I have always gone to another company when needing an item quickly.

I have contacted customer service once and recieved a reply within a couple of days so was happy that my problem got sorted.

I owuld recommend them but if you need something quick I would go elsewhere.

No customer service, aeons of waiting and spam emails

I ordered a game which cd-wow said took 9-10 days to deliver. It took 5 weeks!
When registrering as a user, I specifically asked not to recieve any mails at all. Now I have begun recieving spam-offers from them.

I wrote their customerservice, which cd-wow themselves indicate that I can. I got the email back: "Unknown recipient" (luckily I made an email address which I could delete)!

Do not use cd-wow.com, they're crooked !!

Unacceptable customer service!

I ordered warcraft 3 here and they sent me world of warcraft. After they tried to convince me that I in fact ordered the wrong item I showed them my receipt and they concluded that I was sent the wrong item (duh! does it really take a genius?) Then they told me I would have to send the game back at my expense but I would be reimbursed for shipping costs. 12 dollars in shipping costs later they did not have warcraft 3 in stock and reimbursed my costs in store credit. Why would I possibly want to order from here again? If the website cant be liable for sending you the wrong product should you really order from there? Check out amazon or basically any other online website besides this one!

What should I do with this store credit? If i ordered something from there again I would probably get the wrong product and the cycle would begin again...sigh...

Verging on the fraudulent

How can a company advertise a product with a promise of a 7-10 day delivery , take you money and THEN when your product fails to arrive in the promised time frame tell you that they are still waiting for delivery from their supplier. A month has now passed, they are still unable to supply the product they of course have made no offer to return the money that was sucked from my account the minute the order was placed. If they had advised me prior to placing my order that the product was not in stock AND they have no date for when they might receive it I would have no issue with them, but their practice seems to be that of taking your money first and to hell with you.
USE THEM AT YOUR OWN RISK AND PREPARE FOR DISAPPOINTMENT

Avoid

CD Wow is alright when everything works. They're perhaps slower than most at shipping and delivery, but given products typically come from Hong Kong that might be excused.

The trouble with CD Wow comes from orders they don't fulfill, a frightening amount in my experience. I have ordered items that they quite clearly said were in stock, only to be told they weren't and they didn't have any clue if/when they'd get more stock. One then has to wait for a refund, while they hold the money. I no longer trust the stock information on the site, and won't order from them as I know I might be given the runaround.

Waste of time and effort - use at your own risk

Having placed an order on 30 November, the item hadn't arrived 10 days later, chased it, told to wait at least 21 days, taking me to 30 Dec and no crimbo pressie - however, the dvd arrived 22 Dec, low and behold it's in CHINESE - pretty difficult for a 4 year old to understand never mind read the subtitles - NEVER, NEVER will I use this company again - Now I have the hassle of returning it and finding the dvd WITH 2 DAYS TO GO. Leave this company alone - total disgrace.

Arrived in the end.

I order a few cd's at the beginning of December as Christmas presents, they hadn't arrived after a couple of weeks so I emailed there customer support.

I heard nothing back but a few days later I had my cd's on my doorstep with the word priority written all over them, make of that as you will.

Don't think i would be using this site again even if they are a few pounds cheaper.

waste of time and effort

Ordered call of duty modern warfare 2 for pc as a pre order and commander in chief in October, firstly they cancelled my commander in chief as they were unable to get stock(Amazon to the rescue). Then for no apparent reason they cancelled my modern warfare 2 last week, CD wow did apologise and re ordered it, amazingly they cancelled it again the day before release, but they have taken payment. Now it is on back order cos they aint got stock of what is set to be the biggest game this year. my advise buy games or DVDs from Play, Game, Amazon and Gamestation or anyone else but not Cd wow they really showed me everything that's bad about a business. This company is such a let down and there customer service seem to work against each other.

I didn't get my purchased item

They said they sent it. Then pretended the item had been returned to them. Then said they would send it again. Then didn't. In all fairness they did return my money, but when I asked about why they hadn't sent the item again, I received no response.
I have tried this before with another company who pretended to have an item they admitted to me they didn't really have - and even after having to return my money they still had that item on their web shop for sale.
