I paid $200 for a new textbook directly from Cengage's website. It took 20 days for it to arrive, and it is clearly used. Pages are folded over, and gunk is spilled on the back cover. How can a publis... See more

Don’t take a class with Cengage
Don’t take a class with Cengage, your scores will plummet the grading is SO SPECIFIC that it is nearly impossible to get 100, to courses like MS EXCEL
Legitimately a scam
Legitimately a scam. If you're university adds this disastrous shovelware to your course, you need to find a different university.
Ambiguous Exams That Don’t Reflect Learning
I would give this a negative rating if that were an option. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with this platform. I am currently taking a cybersecurity course, a field I genuinely enjoy and am pursuing as a future career. Unfortunately, the exams provided through this platform are extremely ambiguous and poorly written.
Despite studying hard, reviewing the material, and taking detailed notes from the textbook, the exams feel designed to confuse rather than accurately assess understanding. Multiple answers often appear correct, which makes it difficult to know what is being tested. This has resulted in consistently poor exam performance that does not reflect the effort or learning put into the course.
The experience has been discouraging and unnecessarily stressful, and it has negatively impacted my confidence in a subject I otherwise enjoy. Based on my experience and conversations with other students who share similar concerns, I would strongly recommend avoiding this platform if possible.
Incredibly low quality product with high quality price
Load times are terrible. Super buggy, and MindTap is currently down at the time of me writing this review. I paid $135 for the e-book and MindTap! This is ridiculous! I am trying to get schoolwork done (during school hours might I add) and I have no way to complete anything. If you are a professor considering using this service, please pick anything else.
Wonderful support!
I had a bit of trouble getting into my account. I spoke to Ayessa she was so patient and went above and beyond to help me. This made my frustrating morning much better.
Thank you Ayessa for the help you provided me and for your patients. Keep carrying out your God giving patients and great attitude.

I am surprised that schools continue to use this platform. I am so frustrated with the lagging I can just scream and quit school. If it is because many students are on at the same time, then that is a problem they need to work on because I pay almost $150 per class per semester for this junk!
Professors PLEASE do not use this site.
While this is a site that provides text books necessary for learning many of the books it offers are overpriced as you loose access to the textbooks after the semester is over. I understand the desirability of using it in colleges and universities as it offers in time learning however these prices should be associated with physical copies of books rather then ones you can only have a limited access to for a short period of time. Rather disgusting business strategy. Which is why I am also disappointed in many professors using this website knowing the price that they are charging all college students regardless of background.
**** garbage company all they care…
**** garbage company all they care about is profit and they definitely get it do whatever you can to find a free version of their PDFS do not give them your money -
Buyer Beware. They are just looking for money.
Registered for online course 12-25. My state informed me the course is not accredited in my state on 1-6. Contacted Cengage and they refuse to refund anything. My local community college has this course on their website when it is not even accredited in my state. So be careful- Cengage doesn't care about you or your educational needs- just in it for the money. They don't answer their phone over the holidays and now they claim the 10 day refund policy has expired.

BOUGHT A TEXTBOOK FOR MY COURSE AT MY COLLEGE. BUT COULD NOT ACCESS TO E-BOOK. UPON ASKED TO CUSTOMER REP, THE BOOK IS NOT AVAILABLE. SO WHY ARE THEY EVEN SELLING IF NOT AVAILABLE? THE WEBSITE ALSO HAS GLITCH AND JUST SO ANNOYING. WORST COMPANY
Horrendous
A computer science undergrad could run a more efficient site.
Miserable to Use
Doesn’t auto save and then will log you out or refuse to save your progress for no apparent reason (claims there’s an “error” and to “try again,” but still won’t let you save) . Poorly designed, and wastes time.
THIS IS BEYOND A WASTE OF MONEY
THIS IS BEYOND A WASTE OF MONEY. DO NOT USE THIS SHIT.
worst site ever
I have used cengage for 2 years, over the course of around 5 classes. every time it sucks. it never has ever worked without issues for both the student and the professor. i would give it 0 stars if i could.
Mind Tap Hell
Taking Computer Science for my collage courses!! If you come across this review I assume you’ve seen all the others before this!
Cengage learning is by far one of not the worst educational program I’ve ever had to put my hands on in my whole life.
Nothing short of hair ripping, table smashing, fist clenching, exhaustion.
Every assignment requires questions to be answered in the most pin-point perfect manner otherwise it’s graded as wrong. Your finger could slip on the mouse and it’ll grade the question incorrectly.
Grades overall the program does not grade correctly whatsoever, I read instructions word for word with a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet triple checking it only to be given a 0 out of 100.
Do yourself a favor if you pick a course that uses this program and deep dive into YouTube Tutorials and consider a different course for your next semester this program is simply abysmal to learn and to use I hate it.
Horrible
Horrible. I've been stuck doing the same 3 problems even needed Ai to help. Guess what? Ai didn't even know either! I rather Delta Math 100x more.
Absolutely horrible UX with C++ coding!
Currently taking C++ classes and I am consistently stuck on more complex exercises because the grader requires extremely specific class names. Further research revealed to me that the old coding exercises (before they migrated to a new ui) is actually more descriptive! Often times the exercises withold vital information that make it impossible to solve. I am so tired of seeing file compilation errors when I am able to compile it on both linux and windows perfectly fine!
Completely wrong information used as correct answers
Uses outdated and straight up incorrect information that is not designed to be used alongside a human instructor, forcing students to learn the material twice just to pass a course at an institution that has partnered with the useless program. Actively inhibits the learning of all students in the program linked to this system.
