We were looking to book a chalet for the New Year period and a friend of mine discovered Chalet Olindo which can accommodate upto 14 people. The chalet is absolutely stunning and we were pleasantly surprised that a) it was available and b) the price was affordable (especially if 3 families participated). The site allowed you to reserve 5 days as a minimum (which is understandable) and there is also an option to pay an additional fee to allow you the flexibility of cancelling at short notice. It was only when I was asked to pay 50% as a deposit that I went onto Trustpilot and discovered that there was 1 review that reported that the site was a scam. On further investigation, I discovered that the chalet does in fact exist but is called Chalet Il Gufo. It is marketed by Leo Trippi and Firefly, both of which look to be reputable companies. The cost was a) much higher and b) there was no availability. I have since discovered that the owners also market the chalet directly and I am in the process of informing them of this rogue site.

This website is a fraud. I tried to rent a chalet in France and almost transferred payment when I discovered that the alleged bureau did not have any access of legimitation to rent out the chalet
