My shoes were very well packed and arrived on time. I have chosen Rieker as they are good soft leather shoes and comfortable to wear (even with bunions!). I would definately buy from this site again.l

Used Clinkards before but my recent experience means I would never use them again. Paid for express delivery and 11 days later still no delivery. They used DPD who have not even attempted to deliver. Sending photos of spurious houses but not ours. The frustration has been trying to find someone in Clinkards who cares! They couldn't care less!!!

Although the item arrived very promptly the box was badly damaged. I was offered a £5 discount or to return the item. I accepted the discount as I needed the item as it was a present and the next box could also be badly damaged

Charles Clinkard is my go to shop if I'm buying shoes online. Always a good selection of shoes, good price and prompt delivery.

Great smooth process end to end. Good customer service keeping me informed all the way.

With reluctance I ordered a pair of ankle boots. They did not fit so have been returned at my own cost which I truly resent. It was recommended by the Post Office I used a signed-for service (due to the value of the item) which cost me £5.55 which I find unacceptable. Online shopping has been foisted upon us whether we like it or not and I definitely do not!

Contacted them as wanted some shoes they had.
Yes they had them and yes they could despatch them same day if I paid another £5.99 on top of the shoes that were already selling at £6 over what the manufacturer is selling them for on their website.
But if I didn't pay the extra £5.99 then they would purposely not send them today but wait a day or two to send.
Honestly why would you not help a customer out and say yes sure it's only 3pm we can get those out for you today ?!
But instead lose business ? Why

Very good service, shame I cannot say the same about Royal Mail, it took a lot longer to receive my order as Royal mail sent it to 2 different places before it was delivered to me

I ordered what I expected would be a quality pair of shoes and paid for special delivery because they were needed fairly quickly. Four days later they arrived. The problem was that whilst the box said the right size what was in the box was the wrong size. Whilst the customer service person apologized he felt it was a genuine mistake. I'm afraid I do not agree. I put it down to incompetence and lack of attention to detail on the part of whoever picked the shoes in the warehouse.
The only solution to this problem was to return for a full refund because there was no stock of the right size in the warehouse and there would have been an inordinate delay in checking the stock in the shops, if stock was found for it then to be returned to the warehouse for onward shipping.
So the experience I have as the customer is not very good at all. I am put out and out of pocket because I have to repack the shoes, print a label off and take the parcel to the post office. Then wait however long for the refund to be processed, and I have no doubt that I will have to chase the repayment.
It is little wonder the UK retail market is collapsing.

Congratulations again to Charles Clinkard for having a great rage of shoes in half sizes. Service both in store and on line is great though the website could do with a little attention - or was it me being dim?

Went with my girl friend into the York branch and was served by Serena, she was super polite and helpful and even managed to upsell some cleaning products.

All good had no problems placing order & delivery.

I ordered the shoes on line and they arrived promptly. I found I needed a smaller size, so went to the Leeds Charles Clinkard shop. I was told by the shop assistant, because I had bought them on line I would have to send them back for a refund and buy new ones. She said she could "put it on a gift card" so I didn't need to go through the return processes.I am still not sure how this worked. I found this odd as it says on line shoes can be exchanged at any Charles Clinkard shop.

Today we were served by Amber in the Newbury store. We find it tricky to get shoes for both children as they have very narrow feet and are very fussy! Amber was amazing. Patient, knowledgable and kind. Couldn’t have asked for better service and will definitely be returning!

I bought a pair of Charles Clinkard’s own make loafers in mid December 24. I had worn them about half a dozen times when I saw that the leather had completely gone from both shoes at the toe end. I took them back and was told it was due to the way I walked. I have had hundreds of pairs of shoes over the years and never had a problem. The shoes are not fit for purpose i.e. walking in them! CC have been most unsympathetic and unhelpful. I would not recommend them.
