Hate the new system....
Really Dissappointed with Roaming service
Chatr sent me a text upon arrival in the US telling me roaming charges. However, i could not get data or voice even though connected to AT&T., My second sim could get connection so it was an issue with Chatr but they have no way to contact them without a phone. Text help is a lie - it only asks which link on the website you want. Customer service is NON Existent.
Delivered what they promised
Was on holiday to Canada from the UK and needed a SIM for a couple of months to use while I was there. Prepaid $35 or so for 45GB data, which is all I needed. Service worked as promised and there was no hassle.

Spoke to Amni from the customer support and she was not at all helpful. I have trasnferred from eSIM to physical sim on 12th June and till now the SIM is not working. I have explained to the store who raised a ticket with the customer support. Customer support - Amni kept repeating it is a store issue and i need to go back to the store. Customer is being pushed from store to customer support and the one month package is expiring without any resolution.
This is actually the worst experience i have had with any providers in canada and would never recommend anyone using their service

Trust Pilot should also be telling Chatr to come on here and read all the negative reviews about their company.. I'm gonna see what I can do about getting a hold of CEO or something.
I left Lucky Mobile and went to Chatr b/c LuckyMobile doesn't accept Master Card Debit as payment, which is just stupid in my opinion.. it's literally coming from my own bank account, so what's the problem, right?!
Anyways, I'm not exactly sure what happened to Chatr Mobile from when I was with them a few years back; however, going back to them this time again was a mistake that I won't be making a 3rd time.
Their customer support is atrocious, just as bad as Rogers together with Shaw.
They don't give a "hoot" as long as they got ur money.
More than 95% of the time, its an immigrant answering the phone, so they don't understand you, anymore than u understand them.
When you call customer support you have to listen to a 2-3 min speal b4 u can even choose an option.. It's just ANNOYING, but I think it's that way on purpose co)llliìv1bq
AND THEN, if all that isn't bad enough, if you upgrade ur plan, pay them even MORE money than what you already did, then ur voicemail doesn't work anymore, and the dummies that work at the call center and should know how to fix it, DON'T!
AND THEN, when u try to call them on a Saturday evening at only 10pm... their office is CLOSED!

Steer clear of Chatr Mobile. They SUCK and so does their data that cuts you right off if you don't pay right on ur anniversary date. So, even if you have x-tra money on ur plan, doesn't matter.. You'll be using a free texting app until you do top-up.

From Australia, visiting relatives and needing communications on the Canadian Train from Toronto to Vancouver. Chatr left us without any form of communication especially when the train was delayed due to derailment of a freight train ahead of us and had to reschedule our flights
I ordered a pre-paid sim car
I ordered a pre-paid sim car, went to activate it using my credit card. The activation failed saying something about my visa not authorized and to call a number. I called and was told I need to send my CC info in an email along with my government issue ID to verify my identity? I told the nice young lady from India, named Maureen, this was absurd I was not sending my sensitive private information to a cheap cut rate phone company. I went to Freedom who accepted my CC with no issues whatsoever. I do not recommend Chatr at all and cut up their sim card.

Stealinh money from customer and refuse to refund. Chatr charged me twice for data plus purchase while i just purchased only once. And when i called them to ask for check they just said they could not check it because it was last month. Thats crazy!!!! I asked for check on May 30,2024 while the purchase happened on May 19, and they refused to check it and do not refund the money! It’s definitely stealing money from users blatantly! Very unprofessional, expensive and money scam!

Very bad customer service from monica the agent i spoke to today.
She has no idea what’s working in the customer service means.
She was so rude and the way that she was talking can’t be from a customer service agent.
I hope her manger listens to our conversation over the phone today so he knows what kind of employee he has .
Please find nice people so they know how to deal with your customers.
Chat r has very good offers but they have very bad reviews because of the agents.

Avoid the company at all cost. I wanted to change my carrier . It is worse than pulling a tooth. Each support person I talked to has her own version of the story . I have spent at least 2H per day for the past 5 days with their support team. Every single time even when one speak to a manager they say that they are not responsible for the shortcoming of another of their agents. The process should have taken 5 days it now they say that It will take 7 days

I and my spouse had been with Chatr for few years and the service got from good to worst, missing calls and messages undelivered became a norm, Chatr says 24hours client service which is a fantacy, worse and last straw was the client service in Laval, an employee at place Laval, Quebec names Jorko. Happily gone to a better provider.

wow Chatr mobile gave the worst customer service I've ever received. My prepaid plan stopped working even though I was charged through auto-pay. I was on the phone for over an hour, the rep could not explain what had happened and asked me to top-up to re-activate the account. Supervisor said it was a problem with my credit card even though there were no changes to the expiry/etc. I decided to find another provide online while waiting on the call - that's how bad the experience was.

If you pay them for an upcoming monthly plan and you downgrade your package even a day after
- you are not entitled to anything you paid for
- no charges or data reimbursement
- everything is wiped off!
- you paid out of pocket for old+new downgraded plan
