I wish I would have done research…
I wish I would have done research before booking. You book they take your money and they poof they are gone. If you try to call their help line it’s a 4-5 hour wait. If you email them they don’t respond. Please please don’t book with them. You’ll regret it.

I've used cheapcaribbean multiple times…
I've used cheapcaribbean multiple times and this time by far is the worst. I purchased a trip for me and my family for a wedding and had to cancel as the hotel was closed and changed location to put us into a different hotel. I'm literally 3 months from our cancelation date and they still have 4k of my money. I'm afraid i won't be using them again.

NIGHTMARE -CANCEL YOUR VACATION WITH CHEAP CARRIBEAN
First off, On Wednesday prior departure I learned that someone at cheapcarribean.com canceled our airfare. Luck be had that I called the airlines to find out why I didnt get flight information. this company will lie, and then all you have is 4 to 8 hours waiting on a phone. We are to still be on vacation in Cancun now, however hurrincane Delta hit and we had 2 days on the beach, then 5 hour bus ride to Merida where we stayed 2 days in 1 star hotel. The resort was beautiful 5 star Imperial Valentin River Maya, the hotel will not name. You can not get ahold of anyone at cheap carribean and luckily we had a travel agent with our group who help get us flights back to USA. Today I just spent 3 hours 45 minutes on hold trying to get through to Cheap Carribean, which I was then put on hold for another hour with no one coming back to talk to me. PLEASE TAKE MY ADVICE.... DO NOT GO THROUGH CHEAP CARRIBEAN AS MOST TRAVEL AGENTS CAN BEAT THERE PRICE. Also please buy a international calling plan for 30 days before traveling. Wifi in the carribean is terrible and we couldnt use phones to book flights or check emails.

I have spent so much time arguing with the Cheap Caribbean staff that I debated even taking more time to write this review; but I do think that there are a couple of things that any first time customers should be aware of. The prices are great & that is most likely because they offer minimal customer service over the phone, considering it seems like they always have minimal staff on duty. I booked a trip to Cancun – Mexico & was charged $1,897 twice but was given one confirmation number when I completed my transaction online. I wasn’t even aware that I had been charged twice until someone from their team reached out via email to let me know that it would take 40-90 days to get my refund for the duplicate booking of $1,897. I was told that my case would be moved to priority and I may get my refund in 30 days. Mind you, this is something that has left me unable to pay bills because cards were maxed out etc. What do you think they did for me as a customer for this inconvenience? They offered me $50 off my reservation after I spent an entire morning trying to figure out how to get the refund back a bit quicker than 30 days. I took the $50 and hung up that day after spending hours on the phone during my workday. I remained calm & collective up until the point that I had to call my bank and spend more time (we know how long the waits are now during this pandemic) to get these charges disputed because automated bills were not going through due to the card being maxed out. After this I called back Cheap Caribbean & I asked Monica to please look at my case & let me know if there was any way she could give a free excursion or more money off due to the inconvenience since I am a first time customer ( I mean why would I want to come back after this? I should not have to dig into my savings to pay for things after this mistake) After spending another hour waiting, I finally got someone on the phone from Cheap Caribbean to explain this whole situation to again. They transferred me to the only supervisor they have, Monica, who remembered me & my situation. She proceeded to tell me there was nothing they can do for me since they offered me $50 dollars & I took it. She didn’t care that I have no money to pay for bills, I mean she made me feel like I was in the wrong. Even proceeded to find ANY excuse she could to pin this inconvenience on me, stating that I must have booked it wrong. She yelled at me on the phone saying there was nothing she could do to override any promotion/discounts to my booking (which we all know that anyone behind a computer can override anything they would like) & told me that she was going to hang up on me. Which I am sure if it were her/ANYONE who had been charged this much & was told to just wait, they would react the same way I have. She finally said she would speak to her support team about adding a discount to my booking (which I knew was BS). She left me on the phone waiting for over 40 minutes, answered and told me “there is nothing we can do for you at this time”. I would expect a little more understanding on her part. They did nothing to make me feel like I am a customer whose business is appreciated/wanted. I will not be booking through them again. I would honestly suggest that you spend the little bit more on getting a regular booking to ensure that you are given ideal customer service if something were to go wrong with your booking. Its not worth the anger, the arguing or the time that I have spent on this mistake. JUST BOOK THROUGH EXPEDIA OR ORBITZ OR DIRECTLY THROUGH AN AGENT!
UPDATE: It is now 09/15/2020 – Still have not received my refund.

I booked a trip on June 19 2020 for Sept 19th. Obviously I was worried about cancelation due to the pandemic so I purchased the insurance. When I expressed my concern to the agent they assured me that I would get a PHONE CALL if there was a cancelation or any changes to my reservation. Low and behold my reservation was canceled on Aug 21 but all I got was an email that went straight into my spam folder. I didn't find out until about 14 hours before my departure when I was trying to check my flight info. Thank God I called. The so called customer service was rude and impatient. I had to wait on the line for almost 2 hours before even speaking to someone and was told there were no managers available. Even after all that they wanted to just give me credit but I demanded a refund which they say could take up to 2 months! 2 months! Never again. My son is devastated as am I. When you are looking forward to a trip and have the rug pulled out from under you its one of the worst feelings. I wish I could give negative stars. Buyer beware!

24hr cancellation - no refund despite their policy
I booked an all-inclusive vacation and a few hours later realized I could get a better deal if I increased my dates. I canceled the first booking a few hours later, taking advantage of the 24hr refund rule and rebooked the better deal at the same resort.
I had called first to make sure I'd get a refund. I canceled online successfully but I didn't get a notice or anything saying I'm getting a refund. I decided to call them the next day, they told me refunds normally take 70 days but they'll mark mine high priority and refund within 14 days. It's been 3 weeks no refund. They've $1500 of my money, $700 of which I'm owed for the first booking I canceled and $800 for the vacation I'll be going on here shortly.
This review is for my booking experience which is already causing me trust issues before I even embark on my vacation. For the fact they're holding up the money, I could be using.
I call them, they say they're refunding in 14 days, 2 days, then 60 days.

We booked a trip for March which was canceled due to the pandemic. Understandable. We rebooked a trip with the travel credit for July which was also canceled. Understandable. We then called, waiting hours on the line, and asked for a refund which was finally approved but were told it would take 60-90 days. Considering Carnival, Riu Resorts, and American Airlines gave us our credit on different canceled trips in a few days or weeks, that time frame seemed excessive. I have called twice since then, each time waiting hours to talk to someone. Truly they are the most unresponsive and least helpful company I have ever dealt with. They literally won't tell you anything other than be patient and wait. When I asked to speak to someone in charge, their answer was flat no. They have had my money for 8 months now. I travel 3-4 weeks every year but will never use this company again.
Update: As a result of posting this review, I have received my full refund. Thank you!

Our flight to Jamaica was cancelled, and CheapCaribbean will not give us a full refund. The other couple going with us booked with Expedia and is getting a full refund. Know who I will be booking with next time.

The key word is Cheap
The key word is Cheap! I made a reservation with Cheap Carribean in January of this year to vacation in Cozumel in March. Due to the Pandemic, all flights were cancelled to Mexico. So, they could not send us on our trip. Cheap Carribean was reimbursed for the air fare. However, they DID NOT reimburse me. I will NEVER use Cheap Carribean again.

I had a horrible experience
I had a horrible experience. They changed flights 2 times weeks apart from the confirmation date. They claim it is the airline that changes it so when you book you have no real assurance that your flight times are real and they have the right to change them as they please. When i changed the date to get a better flight they charged me more money even though it wasn't our fault. Horrible customer service she hung up on me and did allow me to talk to a manager. Hours to get through, horrible response time. Never again.

Course it was cancelled so I rebooked the same location for July and of course that was cancelled too. So I changed the location to Mexico and it was fine. I was informed of cancellations at least 3 weeks in advance and was offered a refund each time. There was a slight issue with the resort because they said they didn’t have Me down for a reservation but one of the reps actually followed up and took care of it before I left. So yeah I’ve been on hold for a little bit but that’s to be expected. I’ve used them for several years and was happy with the way they took care of this situation too.
CheapCaribbean Rip Off
I have been dealing with this rip off company for just under 4 months going thru AMEX. Finally received final dispute from AMEX. They said that I should have purchased cancellation insurance and that I have no recourse and simply lost my 2500.00 dollars. This sounds like a Class Action law suit if no resolve is found.

WORTHLESS TRAVEL AGENCY
Used them for the 2nd times to book a trip to mexico and they send me an email the day before saying my trip was cancelled and to call them.
Good thing I called the resort a week beforehand because I could not get a hold of Cheap Carribean (was on hold for 3 hours a pop, 3x). You cannot communicate with them via email unless they reach out to you. THEY ARE A WORTHLESS TRAVEL AGENCY. I will never use them again. They better refund me every cent of what they owe me as I paid for the trip in full. If not, they will hear from my attorney.

If I could I would give Cheap Caribbean a minus 10. The customer service is very, very bad. I will never use this company again. I have been put on on hold 5 times all day without speaking to a person, not to mention the days I was hung up on or disconnected after a few hours. The protection plan (Trip Mate) is a rip off. I just want a full refund. The resort we were to stay at is also closed. Please do not use this company. Our trip was scheduled June 24-25. I just need my money back.
I don't wish this treatment on my worst enemy.

If you need to make any kind of adjustments to your trip forget it once they take your payment they will never provide you with any kind of customer service. recommend but be sure of your plans. Have used in the past and found great customer service and fair prices. With COVID their cancel policy is still only 24 hours. If you want refund versus a credit you must buy the insurance. I just cancelled because of the virus using the insurance after only having booked with in two weeks for a trip 3 months from now. Cost me $250 to cancel with 74 days to get refund. Who are the fooling: The said the ins. co. was way behind...to me the ins. co. is just using the money to make short term interest plus it's a profit center for both parties.

I understand that we are experiencing difficult times, but while trying to figure out our upcoming trip in August, I was rudely spoken too and hung up twice after being on hold for up to 3 hours each time. Our flight was changed and we ended up losing a day of vacations. We were told there were no other options for flights, which at The point we asked for a refund and were hung up on. Based on the website our exact same trip and flights are being offered for over a thousand dollars less.
