Excellent service

Excellent service once again from the after sales team. We were away in our caravan and had a technical issue. I called the Service Dept late on Friday afternoon thinking they might be closed, but Lee answered the phone and was able to give me instructions on how to resolve the problem. Thank you very much. The team then called me back several days later to follow up and check that I had solved the problem.

A big thanks to all the team at…

A big thanks to all the team at Chipping Sodbury Caravans. Excellent sales service, fair and honest part exchange valuations, good customer service and excellent after sales team who provided support with a few teething problems.

Our new Motorhome has had a few upgrades and I am very pleased with standard of work carried out, we are now truly ready for a all seasons.

Great team, great support and highly recommended, I have been a customer for many years and will remain so in the future.

Professional, knowledgeable and welcoming.

I have bought all my caravans from Chipping Sodbury Caravans and used the service department for the past fifteen years. The current service team, notably Jenny, Kirstie and Lee, are always professional, knowledgeable and welcoming. Servicing and maintenance has always been thorough and efficient.

I brought a new Baileys Phoenix 644 then got damp

I brought a new Baileys Phoenix 644 in Feb 22, all went well until it went in for the first service in Feb 23, the van had damp in the back of the caravan! it got repaired in November 23, 8 months later! couldn't be done before they said due to a backlog! in early 2024 my wife and i decided to buy a static caravan and sell this van, the problem is when i went to sell the caravan 3 months after it had been repaired it had damp in the front! even though Baileys chipping sodbury had done a damp report 3 months earlier? so i took the van to be checked and the parts to be ordered by Baileys at chipping sodbury, at this time they said the quickest they can do the work was August! 6 months after it was reported, to make it worse baileys wouldn't book the van until the parts came in, the parts came in a few weeks later, so i booked the van in, when they told me the quickest they could do the work OCTOBER 14th. So i had to wait nearly 9 months! the reason they gave was they have a backlog with repairs of damp caravans! when i rung Baileys Head office they didn't help at all! the issue was with Baileys chipping sodbury, Baileys just don't care about customer service, they didn't care how long i was waiting for the repair to be done. How would anyone feel if you brought a new van and had damp in the back then in the front in less than 2 years! then you have to wait this long for a repair? So i have had the van stuck on my drive for 6 months, i decided to try and sell it at a reduced rate, as i need the money, i sold it but i have lost a fortune on it! ALL BECAUSE BAILEYS DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU!
i never write any reviews, but i'm so angry about this that they can't get away with this. How can you buy a brand new van and get damp twice and have to wait so long for both repairs and you get treated like this?
Also when i was cleaning the van recently i found out why it's got damp at the front, it's got NO SEALANT BY THE FRONT WINDOWS, AMAZING! how did nobody see this when it was made and serviced?

The Workshop Saved the Day

Sadly on our first trip with our brand new Bailey caravan we experienced a couple of annoying faults. There was an intermittent electrical defect and the Dealership fitted Motor Mover failed on one side rendering the system useless.

On a Positive note, The Workshop at Chipping Sodbury Caravans explained how to engage the Motor Mover manually and then on the first visit back to Chipping Sodbury they were able to rectify the annoying defects quickly and efficiently. We are now looking forward to our next trip away.

Purchased a used Bailey Pursuit in…

Purchased a used Bailey Pursuit in March last year paper work missing damp report contacted them and was informed that they keep the report in there workshop why? asked for copy and they said they would post one never received numerous phone calls still never received repair to vinyl on cupboard door promised on purchase poorly carried out blown after a week fingers crossed when I have van serviced and damp check would not buy from Chipping sodbury caravans again.

Just bought our 2nd bailey caravan from Jamie as 1st 1 got stolen . Yet again brilliant value and service from all involved in purchasing and the handover was 💯. Would definitely recommend this company . Service is brilliant

A wonderful caravan dealership.

We have used this company for many years! we have always found them honest! they couldn't have been more helpful! and friendly! we feel they always look after us! Quite simply we own a Bailey, because they are Bailey dealers!! A family owned and run business that look after their customers!

Let down by Chipping sodbury caravan's

Let down by Chipping sodbury caravan's

In a nutshell we have been with Chipping sodbury caravans for nine years
We had the annual service at Chipping Sodbury caravan's January 2023 all good 👍

In May we decided to look for a bigger second Bailey caravan to fit the family.

Having not found a second hand Alicanto at Chipping Sodbury Caravans.
We found a second-hand Alicanto at a different caravan dealer.

In May 2023  When trading in our Bailey Pegasus GT 65 Verona to our embarrassment, The caravan dealer said, I have some bad news, your caravan has damp in the offside floor
And the damp had been there for a substantial long period of time.

Next we complained to Chipping sodbury caravan's,
They agreed to have a look and agreed to fix the caravan.
blaming a lad for the damp readings and said that Bailey's of Bristol tell them not to look under the caravans at service but only take damp readings from inside.
They could not book the caravan in untill August when they would have a caravan bay available.

We returned to Chipping sodbury caravan's for repair and asked for photo evidence at different stages. They agreed to send pictures through email.

Wife received a text message saying they had identified the third locker door had failed.
Wife rings Chipping Sodbury Caravans to be told that they would not repair the caravan because the locker door had failed after the service.

We feel that Chipping sodbury caravans have come up with something to disprove there failings at servicing in January and have gone back on there word that they would repair the caravan.
We feel dismissed as a loyal customer after nine years

We feel this should be reported to a governing trade body.

These guys are brilliant

These guys are brilliant. My water pump had stopped working the day before I was due to go to France for 3.5 weeks. I went on the off chance that someone might be able to look for me. They went above and beyond to fit me in straight away and fixed the issue. Very efficient and helpful. Would highly recommend using these guys

I’ve found the workshop excellent

I’ve used the workshop here for many years for repairs and maintenance on my Talbot and now Peugeot motorhomes.
The mechanics have always done an excellent job in good time for a sensible price. And they have shown patience and ingenuity with a couple of minor but tricky jobs.
I have great confidence in this side of Chipping Sodbury Caravans.

Best avoided
Reviewed this company on 12 April have received no response, apart from asking us to remove our review. We are still waiting for our refund. Returned item as requested, despite tracking delivery they claim to have never received it. Dreadful service!

Zero customer service post purchase

Purchased a Bailey Unicorn used. Out on first trip within days of purchase, the whale pump wasn'tworking. We were away to find one and replace it. Motormover cover was all broken underneath -(sent them photos). Got home and motor mover has failed completely so can't put into dry storage. We have rung ang rung, left messages but no response. It appears once they have your money, customerservice is non existent. We do have a 12 month warranty but simply cannot get any response from the company
We will contact trading standards.
Avoid this company.....

One to avoid

Completely disappointed with the overall service received from the workshop managers, Lee and Neil, caravan went in for repair for 2/3 weeks which became 3 months and when it was time to collect works carried were poor quality and had to be returned again at a later date to be remedied. When we were told to collect as finished shoddy cleaning inside and panels loose. Definitely nit recommended.

Rubbish Customer Service

Purchased a used bailey unicorn in august,when i arrived for collect there was no battery fitted (it was still on my old van) which they had had for a week, and no gas pipe fitted? so how had they checked the gas equipment, anyway got home and checked everything and guess what the fridge did not work on gas,phoned on monday told to claim on warranty,on first day away toilet compartment door fell off,fridge door does not lock for travel.this van had not had a pdi or been checked in any way worse of all everytime i phone up no one will speak to me , very disappointed with service,BUY elsewhere

Top-class dealer I’ve dealt with many…

Top-class dealer I’ve dealt with many different companies over the years and in my honest opinion this has to be one of the best family run cos I have dealt with from start to finish they made it easy and met dates during this pandemic. I purchased a new van and wanted some extras fitted to the van while still in their shop by a third party this was not an issue I have to say very pleased
