Zero stars

Zero stars is appropriate. They sell warranties fraudulently claiming they will replace covered items and provided excellent customer service. This company is nothing but a scam that does not uphold its end of the contracts leaving customers to pay huge out of pocket expenses to replace covered items when it is an emergency.

Prompt and Professional Services = 100% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

The prompt, professional and 100% satisfaction which I experienced was much appreciated. Mr. Kevin Dunn, the tech was prompt in his arrival time, clearly informed me as to his findings in a manner that I fully understood and upon completion of his work shared the item and explained why his services were needed.

P E. and B and Mr. Kevin Dunn will be safely kept for future needs in my business contacts notebook.

Plumbing leak from kitchen sink

Plumbing leak from kitchen sink. Contacted them. Appt made for Monday. Not 8/24 but 8/31. 2 weeks later. I called the plumbing company myself. 8/26 despite other medical appts agreed to late afternoon. The plumbing company recommended to call home owners insurance first, they do not handle emergencies of any kind, simply small non urgent issues.
So we are paying for essentially nothing.
Choice home warranty is impossible to reach via phone and I tried Facebook.

Scam - Choice Home Warranty

Scam! A technician they sent out sent in a legit work order and they changed the technician. They refused to pay for a $3,000 replacement that they agreed would be covered. This is not a real company, denying in any way they can. This was my 2nd denial out of two! Don’t waste your money. I believe the 4 and 5 star reviews are fake!!

I have proof pictures that the unit failed. Paid out of pocket. And paid for warranty… not worth it.

Also, trying to cancel the subscription is near impossible. The first person you talk to after 20 minutes of waiting is “not trained” to cancel (per their words), so they transfer to another person… which you have to wait online for over an hour. If you chose not to wait, they “fake” call you back and leave a message saying “oh we tried calling you back”. This is 3 times already.

Water heater

Choice Warranty would not pay the cost of a new controller for my water heater, which was $500. You would only pay $300. Because of this, the plumber was going to order it online, which would take longer. By that point, we had already been without hot water for 5 days. That was totally unacceptable. I ended up paying the additional money just so we could have hot water. I was not happy.

Account executive Melvin Alvarado was…

Account executive Melvin Alvarado was courteous and thorough in our discussion today about choosing Choice Home Warranty coverage. Melvin patiently answered all my questions & concerns about the waiting period, which items were covered, and detailed info on transferable coverage in the event I relocate, or choose to sell homestead and the option to transfer policy, to new owner. Me. Alvarado’s knowledge and due diligence helped me to elect coverage today without further delays. Thank-you in advance for my future warranty needs and foremost Thank you for having such a professional account executive as Mr. Alvarado in your employment.
