DHL Service

DHL Service: Although updates were provided but service not so good compared with other shipper which inform not just that the product have been picked up but where is the package, prior to delivery. Only received package was picked up on May-03 and then delivery date as May-09, mentioned yesterday. Between May-03 to May-08: No news. It happens because DHL is American.

It was the worst experience I have ever…

It was the worst experience I have ever had! They are nowhere! They are present here and there with useless recommendations. Their laptops are awful! The microphone, for example, is problematic because of its manufacturing. No external microphones can be installed-paired! Do not purchase their products! I deeply regretted my purchase!

Completely unreliable brand.

Chuwi is a completely unreliable brand with a terrible customer service and they do not meet their commitments. They sent me a 18% discount after a previous purchase 8 months ago to be used in any purchase and clearly stating that it did not have an expiry date. When I tried to use it they say that this discount no longer applies but only 8%. This is a fraud. Besides that I had a terrible experience with one if their windows tablets , the Chuwi Ubook Xpro, as the battery stopped charging after a few months and had to through it away. The tablet got very hot when using it and soon it stopped working. I had other laptop that was a bit better but they are not reliable.

Good product, bad support

Positive:
The shipment was fast, the package was well-secured, and I received the Freebook in excellent condition without any flaws.

Negative:
1. An hour after making the payment (well before shipment), I contacted Chuwi's support to request a different laptop, but they completely ignored my request and proceeded to ship the Freebook.
2. I inquired whether it was possible to install an additional M.2 drive, and the response I got was vague and unclear. When I followed up for clarification, my request was again ignored.

Corebook X I3 12th Gen. 2023 model

I bought a Corebook X I3 12th Gen Laptop. Great laptop however plastic casing for the laptop is poor which it's built in. The plastic is coming apart on both edges and I don't carry my laptop to different places, I keep it in one place therefore I can only assume the laptop heat is not dissapating properly or causing the plastic to expand and crack with use. They do have a customer service which said that this is user damage so mostly likely they wouldn't do anything and I mentioned if they have a warranty and I only just bought the laptop 2 months ago. They said they can take a look at it if I send my laptop back to China when I first bought it in October 2023 and emailed them 2 months later about the plastic cracking issue when I noticed it and emailed straight away to try and get it fixed under warranty unfortunately it's all the way in China and I'd have to pay shipping. This was the only let down for the laptop otherwise the laptop still works but slowly coming apart from the casing of the laptop. I would attach pictures on here to show if I could. I don't know if I'd consider buying another laptop if the plastic build case is cheap on everything else. I was expecting either compensation or action to fix my laptop with expenses paid but that didn't happen.

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever. I just buy a Chuwi laptop in January 2025 through their website and it never arrived. It was being transported by DHL and they say that DHL lost it so it is their fault, that they will not replace it for a new one neither reimburse me with the money. Be careful it can happen to everyone and they don’t want to be responsible for the replacement, trying to pass the fault to the transportation while they should be the ones providing a solution. I have just lost 400€ and am for three months trying to get them back.

Would think twice to buy a Chuwi again

Bought the Hi10 Max just lately and since day 1 it had an issue to switch on! When it works it does its job but Customer Service lacks big time. To get an answer you have to be really patient. It's been around 2 weeks, if not more, since I asked them for the return address, I'm still waiting for it! And to be precise, I'm paying for the return shipment as it passed the 14 days they said. They knew about the issue since day 1 but couldn't send it immediately, due to issues with the shipment, since the item comes with a sealed battery. Paying for the shipment is fine for me but at least I expect some kind of communication from them!

Chuwi Experience so far

I own two Chuwi products, here is my thoughts if it helps.

Firstly Oct 2024 I purchased a i3 13 inch free book yoga model on their eBay store as it was on a deal. It took a while to arrive from China (approx. 2 weeks) and came via Royal mail.
Within 3 days of using it the fan died, chuwi sent out a replacement fan that I agreed to fit, to save the horrors of sending it back to repair. It arrived 2 weeks later and since fitting the laptop has worked well. the specs for the price are simply unbeatable. However there are some niggling things such as:
-Rubber feet pad is loose as they hid screw under it for fan replacement.
-There is "coil wine" when plugged in and fully charged, the charger they sent me did not have UK plug.
- The plastic space grey finish on the keyboard deck which is plastic rubs off very easily especially on corners.

Again on the eBay store I got another good deal on a 10 inch x1 tablet. waited 3 weeks for it only for Evri to loose it when it got to this country, so was fully refunded. I cant comment on this device although Chuwi did respond on eBay within 24 hours each time I queried them.

Lastly I brought from their official web page store (as I really did want a 10 inch device to chuck in bag etc) the minibook x n150 (again a yoga/tablet design). This again took 2 weeks to arrive but thankfully arrived with DHL. this product has been great. Extremely quiet and feels better quality than the i3 freebook model. I have used it for over a week now as of this review and no issues other than the full charge coil wine.

On both of these devices I have swapped out the power adaptors to a trusted 3rd party supply just for my own peace of mind. The coil wine is present with both official Chuwi and 3rd party power supply. and to stop it simply unplug it for a while to discharge. With those costs included you still wont be getting anywhere near the cost of a equivalent "known" brand on price per specs. They really are a budget friendly option. With all that has happened I am happy with my purchases. Also to note, still cheaper (for both products combined and new power supplies) than a surface tablet which has less specs on ram and storage.

my advise with this company if you are thinking of buying products is
-research the product thoroughly (YouTube vids/reviews/chuwis own web forum)
-buy a power supply you trust
be ready to wait a couple to a few weeks for it to arrive
-be ready to wait for windows updates to download and install (this can be said of all laptops)
-Wait for deals (there's usually a sale running and if not ask them for discount code on their own forum)

I previously bought a GemiBook Plus and…

I previously bought a GemiBook Plus and have 2 issues : -

1. When I type on the laptop screen, the bottom becomes unstable, and one of the corners start to wobbe.

2. Every time turn it on, it sgoes directly to the BIOS mode, and I've to press Exit to leave and then enter the boot screen.

Minibook X, N150

CPU have sufficient speed.
Keyboard is excellent except the illumination is poor designed.
However the almost no go is the screen and the ugly colours. I always think I will get eye cancer especially if I compare it with the Surface Go panel.
They also charged me for a screen protector around 3 times the money as in a shop but it came not attached to screen, quite bad. Any shop owner would professional do it for you...
