Not worth the entry fee. I travelled all the way from Huddersfield to London to attend what I thought was a job fair… It is NOT a job fair. It is a fair for companies and schools to advertis... See more

This was a really useful seminar for discovering the avenues for marketing and presenting a short film.
This was a really useful seminar for those of us looking for opportunities to market and present films to festivals and platforms. I have completed a short drama filmI wrote and directed. But, though I have 25 years experience of directing drama series and serials for broadcast television, I want to learn about the process beyond production and post production.
I learned so much...
I learned so much at the Global Film Funding & Distribution Conference hosted by Cinecircle. I made some great connections and all the panelists were very informative and professional!
My first (and not my last) Cine Circle event!
My first Cine Circle event - great variety of workshops, talks and exhibitors. Good value for money.
This event was so powerful
This event was so powerful - packed full of knowledgeable folks in the industry really wanting to share their knowledge with others. The content was very relevant and extremely useful. Glad I attended!
Brilliant opportunity
Brilliant opportunity to network with other people in the industry and attend talks and workshops to learn from experts. Will be going again!
This was my first visit to this event…
This was my first visit to this event and found it to be a good experience. Communication was very good from the beginning and it felt organised on arrival. A little difficult navigating around the various stands and the queues which built up needed to be marshalled a little better. Overall, would definitely go again.
useful speakers
I attended one of their online film funding and distribution conferences and found the speakers and information very useful when producing my first feature film.
Unable to attend due to covid
Unable to attend due to covid. Trying to get refund but no. This is not forthcoming despite several emails. So basically, we should have gone with 3 of us with covid and infected everyone. They are a sham and I would never go to any event put on buy these cowboys. Take your money bit don't give it back. Refund wording very ambiguous and they hide behind this. Scammers
"Don't fall for this scam
"Don't fall for this scam. It's one of the biggest scams I've seen in the UK. It's organized in a ghetto side of London, with some cheap individuals charging between 30 to 50 quid to get nothing. Basically, they hand over leaflets and ask you to go on their website. It's a waste of time and money, especially for me who came all the way from Peterborough. Don't waste your time on this; you won't get anything out of it. I'll make sure to keep using my social media platform to expose this scam so that others don't fall for it like I did."
Falsely advertised event-Film and TV Job Fair
My son and I attended, albeit very briefly, a Film and TV Job Fair in London on 20th September organised by this company via Eventbrite. The advert on social media promised that the event was the ideal opportunity to help people seeking to investigate either starting or changing over to a career in the industry, with representatives across all sectors of the industry present. For myself, with 35 years of experience in parallel design fields, I was looking to speak to and network with prop-makers, animators, and set designers. I’d spent a lot of time, effort and money building up my media sites and designing new business cards in preparation for the event. My son, who is 26 was looking for advice into how to build up a network of contacts in short film video production and enhancing. After some confusion caused by the venue with the actual entrance we were allowed to enter by, which led to a 40-minute wait in a queue, we were deeply disappointed to discover that the event was clearly geared solely towards students looking for acting jobs or careers as runners. There was not one single representative present covering any of the fields we were interested in! In addition, the pictures suggested the event would be held in a vast hall on par with this type of large-scale venue. It was held in what could best be described as a narrow corridor, within one of the former railway arches under Waterloo Station. It was massively unsuitable for the number of people attending, making for an extremely uncomfortable and very claustrophobic experience. We paid premium price for our tickets, which allegedly allowed us entry into the premium section. This was nothing more than an additional room where speeches would take place throughout the day. Again, these had no relevance to what we were looking for. We brought this up with a CineCircle representative, whose only words of advice were “There may by someone in the back room who might help you, but don’t hold out much hope”!
Three emails to both Cinecircle and Eventbrite have only resulted in the standard claim in such circumstances that “in line with our policy, no refunds can be issued”. Also that the list of representatives is available prior to the event online. Sorry, my mistake for trusting the advert claiming ALL sectors would be represented, rather than double checking the legitimacy of this claim! I have even asked for some advice on any more suitable future events, but this has been ignored. Very disappointing experience, and I’d advise caution to anyone expecting this companies adverts to be a true reflection of the real event.
