THREE laptops got stolen from the room's lockers at City Hostel Stockholm
On the weekend of 13th February, three MacBooks were stolen from the lockers inside a shared room at City Hostel Stockholm. All the computers were kept locked inside the room's lockers, until the padlocks were broken. Nothing else was taken: no GoPros, wallets or bags...everything was kept intact inside the lockers, except for those three MacBooks.
The theft was first noticed on Sunday morning, when two of the guests were checking-out (none of the guests have met neither spoken before this event). After informing the receptionist about the incident, we then reported the theft to the police.
The only people who had the keys to open the room were the 10 guests staying in the room on that night, plus the hostel staff.
The hostel hasn't been helpful in investigating the issue by themselves - they only made it clear their insurance doesn't cover theft. Ah, they checked the footage only AFTER we asked them to do so, which clearly means they are not taking enough accountability on the matter.
Lastly, the hostel CANCELLED MY BOOKING at HostelWorld to avoid a negative review!
Think twice before booking a room with City Hostel, unless you wouldn't mind having your belongings stolen.
