Structural defected car sold
Normally I don't provide reviews, but I want to make people aware of potential dangerous cars being sold by CCS.
During the warranty I had to return the car due to high pitched noises, the auxiliary drive belt was replaced, under warranty. However, the mechanic noticed that one of the control arms (wishbones) was bent/indented, which is a critical structural defect. This should have been replaced under warranty, but the owner refused, saying that it must have happened after I bought it. (also noticed the car had been resprayed in the same area).
When I bought the Nissan Juke it had a MOT, and service. Mileage was noted at the MOT and when I bought the car. The car had been driven 50 miles between the two dates. Therefore the damage must have been done before I bought the car, but CCS said not.
Please be thorough when buying from CCS, including looking under the car for any obvious damage, which I didn't expect I'd need to do.
Very disappointed in their after sales care, and concerned that I was sold a car with a structural defect.

To clarify the situation, while carrying out the warranty repair for the auxiliary drive belt, our technician identified damage to one of the suspension wishbones. Based on the nature of the damage, it was assessed as impact damage, consistent with the vehicle having struck a rock, kerb, or other road hazard. Unfortunately, this type of accidental damage is not covered under our warranty.
As you mentioned, the vehicle had passed an MOT before collection. Had the wishbone been bent or damaged to the extent suggested prior to sale, it would have been identified during that inspection. We have no evidence that this damage was present when the vehicle left our premises.
We appreciate that this was frustrating, but we stand by our assessment and the decision made in accordance with the warranty terms. We always encourage customers to contact us if they have any concerns, and we remain committed to providing safe, roadworthy vehicles and fair after-sales support.
