Exposing Claridge Homes' Financial Exploitation of Condo Unit Owners

In the heart of Ottawa, within the vibrant community that many of us call home, resides the Claridge Moon condo at 340 Queen St. This isn't just a building; it's a part of our lives. But beneath its facade lies a disturbing reality, one that demands our immediate attention and action. Claridge Homes, the developer behind this complex, is exploiting the very people who trusted them to build their homes.

A unit owner of the Claridge Moon condo has shared distressing evidence of financial exploitation at the hands of Claridge Homes. The unit owners face financial exploitation in what can only be described as a transparent neglect of contractual obligations. Such manipulative practices place undue financial strain on homeowners who invested their savings and faith in these properties.

We cannot stand idly by while this exploitation unfolds before us. The implications extend beyond the walls of Claridge Moon. This is a public issue, striking at the heart of transparency and trust within our city's real estate and housing industry. If the unit owners of Claridge Moon fall victim to these predatory practices, what's stopping it from spreading to other unsuspecting communities?

As citizens of Ottawa, we hold the power to demand accountability and change. Ottawa's integrity should not be tainted by corruption in the housing sector. We must urge local authorities, housing regulatory bodies, and community leaders to conduct thorough investigations into these allegations and take immediate corrective measures.

A court application has been filed with File No. CV-25-00100115-0000 at the Ottawa courthouse to have the Ontario Superior Court of Justice protect the unit owners from Claridge Homes' undue influence.
