Hi Classic FM, I've done a review a few weeks ago, gave 4 stars. Said i turn off radio when adverts come on. Got tired of that, pressed preset to radio three everytime adverts started. So nice to he... See more

Inane adverts drive me nuts
The music selection on Classic FM is OK, if limited in range (the film music relays endlessly scores from Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Wars). However the inane adverts drive me nuts and I always switch to a non-commercial station when they are on. Radio 3 is an alternative but overall a tad too highbrow for my perhaps populist classical music tastes. However, I have just discovered 'Classical Mood Live' internet station which (so far) seems to provide the type of classical music I like to have in the background without ads and prattling compères. I've been listening to it for only a few days, but so far so good........
Normally enjoy classic fms programmes…
Normally enjoy classic fms programmes but why on earth are we subjected to Christmas carols in November . I suspect the next month will be overloaded with such . Christmas eve and day .yes but I'm afraid anymore a real turn off !
The best of a poor standards industry.
Some good music and presenters. The odd presenter can't even speak clearly. The gambling strategy abhorrent. The repeated news extremely boring. Some good ads but some are unbearable to listen to.
Beautiful Music, Jarring Advert Volume
Classic FM is the only radio station I listen to — even when I’m overseas on business. I have it on at night while I sleep because it’s genuinely soothing, and I absolutely love the music, the presenters, and the whole atmosphere of the station. It’s consistently calming, familiar, and beautifully curated.
My only real frustration — and it’s the same no matter where I’m listening (smart speaker, phone, car, laptop) — is the adverts. The sudden jump in volume is jarring, especially in the evening or late at night. I love everything about Classic FM… except the ads blasting like they’re trying to wake the whole neighbourhood.
So long Classicfm
After years of listening to ClassicFM, we've given up and gone to BBC 3 unwind.
The main reason for switching is the seemingly increase of the number of advertising slots and the length of them.
Also it's time ClassicFM bought some new CDs rather than the half dozen they have.
The news seems to be a direct copy of the days news on the BBC web site.
And why do presenters have to keep telling us who they are.
Classic fm news reporting is a joke
Classic fm news reporting is a joke
Each and every hourly report is anti government and negative despite other important news issues ,this last 3 weeks a certain name Farage or Reform party are mentioned in all bulletins always in a positive manner, it’s now a complete turn off
Super right-wing news bias spoils the vibe
Evening programs after 7 with Zeb are great. The news segments are incredibly right wing though. Almost laughably so. Such a shame as it's its making me question whether I'll keep listening (which ive been doing since the 90s).
Too much repetitive advertising
Love Classic FM most of the time but the inane advertising drives me crazy. The repetition is awful, same adverts over and over. Luckily when they start I just turn down the volume on my radio but it is a nuisance. Sorry many people seem not to like Dan Walker in the mornings but I like listening to him the most. Takes all sorts.
Love the music...hate the intrusive…
Love the music...hate the intrusive adverts especially on the late calm classics slot...all relaxed and then loud unnecessary adds.. can you at least stop them for this show? Also Myleen, your constant mumbling on Friday and Saturday evenings drives me nuts! You spoil what should be the relaxation after a busy week .
British imperialism and middle class middle England at its worst.
Classic FM! Switching off now!!! Land of Hope and Glory… Elgar Pomp and Circumstance… ..whatever…slaves and British exploitation.
Boring circle of music
It used to be great but now the same music over and over again. Save me from the Lark Ascending, Barber , Out of Africa, Star Wars . I have a list. Presenters - does Aled Jones do every slot now. Can we have ones that can actually do the job properly .
I've completely given up listening to…
I've completely given up listening to Classic FM from today
The barrage of advertising, travel reports and news makes it impossible to listen to.
Such a shame
I used to enjoy Classic FM
I used to enjoy Classic FM. Then the "celebrity" presenters started to be introduced. Then the advertisement breaks started to become more instrusive and finally the repetitive nature of these adverts. I understand they have to finance the station but pay fewer celebs to present and you wont need so much advertising.
Classic FM at the Movies
Classic FM at the Movies: if you’re looking to listen to Out of Africa and the main theme to Gladiator on a loop, fill your boots. Literally the same 20 tracks played all day, every day.
Classic FM Movies
Classic FM Movies sounded like a good idea as I love soundtracks. Unfortunately they only seem to be able to repeat the same 20 or 30 tracks over and over again. I used to hear more and different movie soundtracks on the general Classic FM channel than this, but for some reason a lot of these don’t get aired on the Movies channel. Classic FM seems to be going downhill rapidly.
Listening to classic FM news bias.
Listening to classic FM while undertaking DIY projects at home will now end. The news on Clasic FM shows a disturbing bias towards a Private Limited company that has infected our political landscape. Mr Farage has consistently been allowed to speak on radio news without an answer to his most dubious comments.
Waking up to Dan Walker shouting into…
Waking up to Dan Walker shouting into the mic each morning was too much for me and his inane last night latest is cringing! Had to switch to another station in the morning.
Classic FM Calm
I realise this is an unclaimed profile and so, probably, isn’t monitored by anyone at Classic FM but I want to leave feedback about Classic FM Calm and there isn’t any other options except direct correspondence. The channel has potential, I often wanted to switch from Classic FM to something calmer when the mood arose, and when Classic FM Calm came along I thought it the perfect accompaniment to its sister station, however, the revolving playlist of same compositions and classical versions of pop-rock songs has began to grind. The biggest issue is the advertisements, these are not calm. Lulling away to a gentle piece of music, only to be interrupted by someone shouting about insurance or being the latest lottery winner is jarring and jolting. There are so many classical pieces that are soothing and relaxing, it should be almost impossible to have a finite stream of music but, sadly, I feel Classic FM Calm is just a means to have advertisers air their material on a different channel. One that doesn’t require presenters.
Thank you to the CEO for Classic FM Calm
My experience of 5 stars is for Classic FM Calm. However, when I go out in the morning with my personal radio - Guess what Aled Jones. Is there none else to fill in for holidays or people going off on other projects. Just call it Aled Jones FM!!! Currently this will yet another almost 4 week run for him (no doubt upping his personal appearances fee) At least we don't have to listen to Dan Walkers load of tripe about ''what did you have for supper last night'' That is going back 50 years to 'Housewives choice' and that was dire. Repetitive and too many ads
Same as many others - repetitive music and far too many adverts. Seems to be the same playlist every day. I press the mute button on the ads so many times it's hardly worth listening any more.
