Clearance XL® Reviews 

I placed an order with them nearly a month ago. The order has apparently been "delivered" a few days ago but no attempt at a delivery was made. I've emailed there support email and received no reply. I won't be using this company again, they're clearly scammers.

EDIT: Clearly the owners are incapable of reading as proven by their reply. I have contacted their customer support and am still awaiting a reply. It has been 3 days. I can assure everyone I am a legitimate customer, and have the emails as proof. So yes, this company are clearly a scam, stay well clear!

Ordered a few times from here just placed a order for quick delivery so can do kids a tea party on Friday can't wait

Awful experience items were squeezed into a tight box all the confectionary were squashed..some items were out of date years ago not days or months and has changed color.
I am equally at fault that I didn't check properly but surely they would have known from the color of it that they weren't edible.
In short more than half of the delivery were thrown into bin.
Anyway my advice check the dates properly otherwise avoid ordering if you can.

They are scammers, I already found out about it in August 2024.
I made the purchase on August 13 and received the shipment on August 27 and I paid extra for the shipment 1-5 days, so it is easy to calculate when I should receive the shipment.
When I wrote to them on August 22, they wrote back that they had just sent my order, this is a joke.
I will never shop with these scammers again and I hope they choke on my money.

Placed any order on 13th July after an offer appeared on wowche. My order has not arrived and there has been no further communication from them Avoid this company.

Placed an order on the 12 July and still haven't received it sent 2 email enquirers but had no response

What an amazing website to get cheap items. I ordered the food and drink box and had a 50% off voucher. The food and drinks mystery box we got are brilliant, so many items, even the ones we don’t like due to our taste preferences have been bagged up for friends and family.
Our DPD driver Rich is really helpful and friendly, he put the box into my hallway for me due to the weight. We received a message to say that they had the parcel and then they delivered the next morning.
Loads of drinks, jars and tins that will keep us over a few weeks.
We are already expecting our next box of goodies next week.

Still not delivered after 2 months, tried to contact them with no luck the phone just rings and no reply with emails. Scam website

If I could do no stars I would. Clearance XL has appalling customer service and their courier company - DPD - are at best unreliable and at worst down right discriminatory towards disabled people (who, being on benefits, are those most likely to use this company). Whilst the company does have some great bargains - most of it is cheap, out of date sugary cakes and sweets. It isn't particularly healthy food, but you can get enough to live on if you are really low on funds. HOWEVER their delivery states 'up to 30 days'. Even if you pay for their premium 'next day delivery' there's no guarantees when it will arrive. There's no tracking, no way to contact the company to progress orders, and the past several orders the delivery was either dumped blocking the doorway and preventing me (as a disabled person) egress from my home for several days - DPD didn't even bother to respond when I complained to them and Clearance XL never respond. Their 'live chat' doesn't work. They don't respond to emails. They don't have a contact phone number. They don't process complaints.

If you need a bunch of treats to keep kids entertained over the holidays or for a birthday party for not a lot of money, this site is, I suppose, good. If you want proper food, I suggest you look elsewhere. Oh and don't expect any order placed to arrive any time soon, in good condition (good luck complaining or getting a refund on that) or for the food to be edible - stale crisps and cakes that have to just be thrown away.

Everything in my order was damaged apart from the crisps because a tub of peanut butter had been damaged and leaked over everything. Emailed with pictures and got a reply asking for pictures (which I'd already sent). Have since emailed about 3 more times re-sending pics and asking if getting my emails and no reply

Goods now received. It’s what it is as described. No one can complain with contents. More vigilance with details for non customers overcomes delay

My most recent order (MAY 2024) has NOT turned up even though i was emailed to say it had been dispatched and i am receiving feedback emails but all my emails to them have been ignored and not responded to. No tracking information.NOTHING ZERO ZILCH, shame on them!!!!! they will be keeping a hold of my money though, that i can guarantee. Dont waste your money and time with these lot anymore!!!!

IN53217 this is my order number spent over £65.00 and have had to notify my bank.

They werent always like this, in the early days they were surprisingly quite good.

On my order prior to this IN52459 i spent nearly £75.00, half of the order was stale and not suitable for human consumption. I contacted them for weeks on end, and by telephone (FEB 24) but to no avail.

I should have received a refund for MAY 2024 order of £65+ and atleast half of the FEB order of over £72.

I want be receiving diddly squat.

Some of the responses on here by them are tantamount to belittling their customers.

This place needs shutting down by trading standards.

ALL MY EMAILS TO YOU AND TELEPHONE CALLS ARE TO THE ONES ADVERTISED ON YOUR WEBSITE AND ON YOUR INVOICE. YOU HAVE MY PRIVATE EMAIL ADDRESS , EMAIL ME PRIVATELY AND I WILL FORWARD ON THE COPIOUS AMOUNT OF EMAILS AND COMPLAINTS I HAVE SENT FROM MY EMAIL ADDRESS AND ON YOUR OWN WEBSITE.

ARE YOU GOING TO RESPOND TO MY PREVIOUS ORDER NUMBER, I AM PRETTY SURE YOU READ MY EMAIL, IVE GO COPIES OF ALL THOSE EMIALS TOO.

IT WOULD HAVE BEEN FAR EASIER TO CALL ME TO IRON OUT MY ISSUES, BUT I AM QUITE SURPRISED AT HOW QUICKLY YOU RESPONDED TO THE EMAIL ABOVE ON TRUSTPILOT. SOME OF YOUR LANGUAGE COMES ACROSS AS BELITTLING, EVEN IN YOUR OWN RESPONSE ABOVE. CAN YOU PLEASE CONTACT ME AS A MATTER OF URGENCY BY TELEPHONE TO DEAL WITH THE NON DELIVERY OF ORDER IN53217 AND ALSO WITH MY COMPLAINT WITH ORDER IN52459 HALF OF WHICH I BELEIVE WAS NOT FIT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION. WAITING WITH BAITED BREATH!!!!!

I very disgusting service I ordered two boxes I only received one box still waiting for the second I ordered on the 14 may 2024 it is now 17 June it been over a month and no response from them they don't even respond to emails and the one package I did get all the product was 6 month to over 2 years old and half the box was condiment sachet witch was over 1 year old this company is utter disgusting

Very poor customer service and communication.
I placed an order with Clearance XL�.
I received an email informing me that my order had been dispatched.
I am still waiting for that order.
They offer no tracking information.
l have sent them messages via Facebook and emails and they are just ignored.
I have also sent me emails asking me to give the company a review on The order I have not received.
I also noticed other people have been suffering the same fate.
I would strongly discourage anyone thinking of using this company.
My order amounted to over £90.

First of foremost you do not respond to any correspondence whatsoever that is my complaint poor customer service.
Secondly you said my order had been dispatched was that a lie.
And why would my review on here delay my order further.
You also sent me an email saying my order has been fulfilled and would I like to review that order.
There would be no need for impatience if you actually talked to your customers.
I see by your replies on here you never take any responsibility for the shabby way you run your business.
If I do not get my order within the 30 day timeslot I will immediately start County Court proceedings against you,
it was my intention to place an order with you every week or so you do yourself no favours.
I have now received my order it was beautifully packaged and great value for money it’s just a shame
About the communications.

Paid, ordered and received nothing. This was nearly a month ago. Attempted to contact to no avail. Reporting as fraud

I have had to take 6 months off work to look after my ill daughter. This has had a massive impact on our finances, with no money coming in from what was a regular salary. Clearance XL came to the rescue. Very thankful.

I ordered the mystery box using the Wowcher code, selecting the 7-30 day delivery.
I didn't read the reviews until a while after I had ordered.

To cut a long review shorter:

Yes, like the reviews say, it did take a long time to arrive (about 28 days in total to arrive). But it is absolutely worth it!
(Feel sorry for the DPD driver though as it was VERY heavy & HUGEEEE box!) Lol

We got a wonderful selection of all sorts of things.
Cakey type things & sweets, various interesting flavour crisps, various drinks, condimenty type stuff like bottles of sauces and packets of stuff for that which is useful, stuff for the kids pack lunch like a whole case of jelly, cocktail syrups, squash/juices, baking related things like bread flower, hot drink things, chocolates, big cases full of stuff... AND MUCH MORE!

(Was trying to describe without giving away surprise of things that you may potentially get lol).

There are even snacks in there from other countries, which we'll enjoy trying out!

To the people complaining about the things inside on some of these reviews:
~ it states that it's a SURPRISE box & will get a wide variety of things.
They haven't got time to cater to everyone's individual preferences. That defeats the point of a surprise, right!?

~ in knowing this, you must be the type of person that's willing to maybe test out the odd few new flavour thing that you've not tried before. (We personally found that exciting!). MOST things in the huge box are everyday stuff that most will find useful or nice.
It's down to preference & not the business's fault...

I also didn't receive a reply to my 2 emails until I got a bit impatient/unhappy for a moment too (mainly because I was so excited for it to arrive), but they are very busy and it does state it can take up to 30 days if select the 7-30 delivery time at checkout.
Could be improved, yes, but regardless, it was totally worth waiting for & will be ordering again!

So,
If you have someone to help you carry a HUGE/HEAVY box, like to fill your cupboards up completely, like trying new things, want a lot of the essentials & useful stuff in one box, like surprises, and like getting a good deal...
Then this is for you!

EDIT: Thursday 18th April
I did order again, this time along with a few seperate little bits & Just received an email to say that DPD already has it & will be delivered tomorrow!! Only ordered it on 14th, and I selected the 7-30 day delivery, so that is brilliant! So excited to receive it, and like last time, will be looking forward to making my mum a little food/drink package out of the bits to drop off as we ended up with Soooo much.

Still waiting for package to arrive and paid for faster delivery, No updates on this. The site is hard to negotiate now with all the adds and difficult to log in. I have used this company before but not again such a shame.
